Matt Rouse: I have a very close friend that went into Briarwood a few months ago. I was a little skeptical at first not to mention my friend was not real happy about being there. I respect Briarwood due to the fact that the staff still respects my friend whether he is rude or not. Yes he can be very rude. He's eating well and he's become very content there. Matter of fact I was there today to take him out for a little bit for the first time. He made a decision to stay and do it another day. I was disappointed but then it became more of a relief to know he was that comfortable there. No complaints 👌.

Kelly Duncan: I have waited a few months to write this review . Between anger and tears I never can quite convey the emotions we have over this place. My mom my beloved mother broke her hip went to Genesys for surgery and then ended up Here. I just want to add something that many may not know . They changed the name to Promedica from Briarwood hoping we wouldn't remember the horrible care people received under the original name. My mom was 74 years old going on 50 and looked it as well. From the moment she got there it was all down hill from there. The second day in she contracted covid or so they say . They moved her to the covid unit. My mom was more healthy with covid than most without. Process of moving her her new coat was stolen within 3 minutes of my father going back to retrieve it! 3 minutes! She didn't get any food the first day and they missed feeding her several times due to SHE didn't tell them she wanted any! She slept in a bed no rails and a sink hole in the center of the bed that was abysmal. My mother had a horrific spinal injury of which they cared nothing about. She needed to use the bathroom and in the words of the unprofessional who answered the desk phone . "We would rather they go in their clothes or on the floor it's easier to clean"!. This is true . Verbatim. Her phone didn't work her toilet was broken and backed up with a mess that only God knows how long it had set there. The food was so bad my mother choked down what she could. She rang the buzzer countless times daily only to be ignored or have someone finally come hours later . Also she was so scared of the tech who took her blood pressure she called me terrified that she felt this person personally didn't like her . These are just a few of the gross negligences my mother experienced. The day they rushed her back to Genesys they had given her not one but two nitro pills ?? Her pacer had went off to set her heart back in rhythm and they were giving her nitro. Needless to say my mom spent the next 3 weeks dying. Yes. Dying..She developed what they call a bedsore which my medical friends claim was not! Her bone was literally showing through the wound which was huge! In the words of Henry Ford ..the next hospital she was transferred to. If only they would have paid attention to what was going on in her lungs and the wounds. She may still be here. I pray no one goes through what we have been through. I pray you never have to see or experience your loved one on a ventilator. With needles and tubes from the top to the bottom . Tears rolling down her face from the corner of her eyes. I know some may feel this is dramatic oh no it isn't I am actually being very kind . They that work there I pray you never have to go through or have a loved go through what my mother and countless others have went through at the hands of this place and those they employ. P.S read the reviews please before considering this place. If you love your loved ones. Do not send them here.

She's in her 70s, and she told me that this is the best she has ever been treated in a care facility. I'm so grateful that my friend had such an empathetic and professional staff taking care of her!

pillar47ify: This is a horrible place! Never send your love one's here. The beds have no rails and that is a disaster waiting to happen. Why would a facility that has patients that are not ambulatory have beds without rails or other safety devices. People are not throw aways. My friend was doing fine before he got there. Shame on this facility and staff, whatever happened about caring for people.

I was told by a night shift person to urinate in my pants because it's easier to clean me up. I laid on top of a urinate soaked pans for the rest of that night. They put the bedpan on my table tray.. GROSS!Briarwood is a perfect example of the nightmare stories you read about nursing homes. I WANT OUT OF HERE.

Glenda Minzey: They tried to give me an iv that wasn't mine and argued with me when I told her it was not mine. I had mine in the am. One night I didn't get supper because they said I didn't turn my sheet in...wrong. Then they brought me a cold cheese sandwich. Daughter called and raised hell, then she brought me food. The physical rehab is a joke. I get more exercise going up and down my stairs to do laundry. The bed was terrible. It had an indent in the mattress where all the butts before me laid. I took extra blankets and filled the hole. I asked for a different mattress but I never got it.

When I went to visit the nurses were always rude to her bc she couldn’t stand to go to the bathroom but she couldn’t stand due to the fact she can’t walk and had no therapy to learn how too with a walker I can say so much moreBut I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone ever

They came from another facility that the care was very poor...Briarwood staff is excellent with the care that is needed for her needs...Carla went above and beyond what was expected of her and for that I'm truly grateful...I would recommend this facility to others...

I witnessed a staff that went above to call of duty, to assist my father and family as they work to provide support, care and was very attentive to the needs of my father and family. I sincerely thank the entire staff at Briarwood!

Susan Lehman: This is the worst experience ever. My brother in law went in after being in critical care unit. Within days he is back in the hospital. There are some exceptional people there but overall the care was awful. The nurses did not pay attention when we said he was having problems. He developed diarrhea and thrush but no one paid attention. He stopped eating and they blamed it on him. They said they would take his blood pressure and then disappeared for well over an hour. Finally, a tech arrived and helped him to the bathroom and saw he was in distress. She took his blood pressure and found he was 70 over 30. At that point, rather than give him an IV while they waited, they called an ambulance and did nothing. Never never never will I allow someone I care for be sentenced to this kind of care. Never, never.

Christian & Jessica Jones (Sacred Ink Tattoos): My father came here after a major surgery on his foot. I have multiple complaints....1. He had a heart attack while on the phone with my mother. He pushed the call button multiple times, and shouted for a nurse and for help, and no one came for 15 minutes.2. After this incident they turned his ringer off on his phone. now no one could reach him by phoning in.3. Said overreacted foot became badly infected, and he had to have his leg amputated. They did nothing when the infection started and nothing until it was too late.4. Now after surgery removing his leg, the hospital found a massive hole in his other foot - a giant bed sore for he had to get surgery on . They did no type of care to prevent sores.5. He didn't eat for over two weeks here, and the staff didn't even try to feed him or report it to the family.

Tammy Wooten: This place isn't fit for a sick dog in my brother room I found 20 plus pills in his room they didn't make sure he was receiving his medication. I never knew of any health care facility that would walk away from any resident before making sure they didn't choke on medication.A nurse Given his personal information out to other family members because a nurse there is was a friend to the family which told everyone he had passed before I made it home the nurse was unprofessional there where no hospice there they called me a hour after he had passed Hospice called me two days later to give their condolences when I left my name and number for the director of nurse she returned my called 2weeks later .I just wanted my brother to be comfortable I remember one day he didn't even have a tee shirt on and other day a family members stated he just had a blanket on in a chair . I did contact his Hospice nurse The State needs to really investigate this place they have soooo many fines And McLaren and other need to stop telling family this place is the only place that have room for your love ones they just want their business of placing . Terrible place

Christine Ecklesdafer: My relative is dying in this place, chronic infection, lays in soiled diapers all day, dropped her several times, broke hip, the whole place smells like urine, nurses congregate and giggle in hall, it is a pathetic institution do Not send your loved one to this place.

Leonard Leitzke: I’ve been a resident since 9/22/22. Since I have been admitted I missed over 12 doses of antibiotics because of my picc line being plugged. Had to go to the emergency room to get it unplugged. The report to the hospital was that I was refusing the antibiotics. (Watch out if you come here they will try to make it look like you are refusing treatment). The reason I choose Kith Haven. Was I had excellent care here in for back in 2018 now is a different storyUPDATE 10/9/22.This morning I caught a nurse giving me the wrong antibiotics. I’m taking 2 different antibiotics one is taking 4 times a day and the other is once a day. She gave me the once a day antibiotic. The thing that is aggravating about it I’m told the nurse is in management

Patty Ostrander-Karrick: Do not go to Kith Haven I cant See my They have covid didnt tell us putting my mother at risk she cant see.My mother couldn't get any assisstance at McClaren hospital and she needed a rehabilitation. Now she cant even have me at Kith Haven because they have covid cases !!! Its horrible to not see whos helpkng her like no one !!!we were not told that when picking Kith Haven. Theey dont have people to feed jher its horrible what they are doing acepting elderly and thwy have active covid cases. When I cannot look out for my mother!!

I dont mind helping people and helping with their issues. The food at kith haven is good and the staff are always willing to get everyone something different if they don't like what's being served. Its been tough with COVID having to stay in our rooms but i am looking forward to seeing my family. I'm pretty sure everyone is feeling the same way. Therapy is very good and generally for the most part its always clean.

Kristen Cooke: They kept my mom's wheel chair, they said they didn't know it was hers. How does a facility not see a name on a wheel chair or not know it belongs to the patient. Last visit they kept her clothes.

Joel Ellis: My family and I cannot thank the Willowbrook Staff enough for all of the work they did with my Mom while she was there for physical/pulmonary rehab. The care she received during her stay was top notch and we are so thankful. The facility was always clean, food was really pretty good, and boy did these folks know what needed to be done to get my Mom back on track. They encouraged her, they challenged her, and genuinely cared about her getting better and being able to get back home. From the very moment we contacted Willowbrook, we knew we had the right place. From the day she was admitted until the day she was discharged, these folks were committed to her success. For my Mom, and her family, this was the right choice for us and would not hesitate to make the very same decision if needed again. My Mom is home now and doing great thanks to all of you at Willowbrook. Thank you all for what you have done for her, we can never thank you enough. Seriously could not be happier with the care she received while staying with the Willowbrook Team!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Danielle H: This place is absolutely horrible. They had my father sitting in his feces for more than 2 hours. He had a nurse refuse to give him his meds and finally was charged $600 because the financial woman Nichole "got behind" in her paperwork and failed to release my father on time like his insurance required. She openly admitted this to my father and a nurse's aide that was in the room at the time.

Lord Tabby: Absolutely the worst place to send people, this place is more like a psych ward than a nursing home, all the patients there looked like they were as high as a kite on medication dancing around and looking all happy, it's not cool to drug the elderly. Also they neglected care to my grandmother, she had a very nasty infection and was hallucinating badly, my mother had to pull her out of here and take her to the Ann Arbor hospital to get her proper treatment, my grandma would have died here if we didn't pull her out of this place. This is where high class Michigan snobs and Karens need to be held at, not the innocent elders, shame on you people for neglecting the care of the elderly for your own benefit.

meg Zombie: Worst place to ever send a family member they will neglect them starve them and cause injuries to them. then when your family member is being discharged force them to sign a paper saying they are not responsible for the family members injuries received in their care. they will not notify you if your family member has fallen. worst place to go if family is wheelchair-bound they will stick them in a room where they can’t move and they will steal family members belongings. this is happened to my family when my family member was in their care. And they lie about when patients see the doctor. portion size are awful food and quality is awful. if family member goes there get ready to pay out of pocket for food for them because Willowbrook will barely provide them enough food to survive. This place is a lawsuit Waiting to happen

Kimberly Young: My mother was at Hamilton Assisted Living (Caremore) in Flint, Michigan. The setting is “home like” which made my mother very comfortable. The environment is always very clean and inviting. The staff is very professional yet extremely caring for the residents and treat each other like a family. They did everything they could to personalize my mother’s care and treated her with dignity and respect. She had multiple issues plus dementia and the staff communicated with family, which made my mother more comfortable in her last days. The staff works well with other agencies and they have a doctor and many other personalized services to enhance your loved ones stay. I would recommend Hamilton to anyone who really cares for their loved one and only wants the best care possible.

Reid sanders: Move in day for my mom welcomed us with a room that hadn’t been cleaned. I had to kill spiders as we were moving in and clean up cobwebs. It’s bad. Really bad. Staff can’t be trusted to do a good job. They spend all their time in their phones when they should be paying attention.My mom fell one night and was left black and blue from knees to ankles. It wasn’t in an incident report… so if we hadn’t seen it with our own eyes the facility never would have said a word. WHAT A DISGRACE.I don’t know who cooks the food there but it’s inedible. You couldn’t even cut the chicken being served. The staff won’t bring anything else if the resident can’t eat what they are serving, they just take it away. Take it or leave it. Many nights my mom went hungry. The “always available “ menu that they SAY they always offer? Forget about it. I asked for something from that menu and I was told there was no one there to fix it. SAD.The facility entrance is worn and doors need replacing everywhere. The management staff leaves a lot to be desired. They barely speak to the residents. I will say that Dawn at the front desk is a sweet person, but no one else left a positive impression. This is not a place for any elderly person.

The campus is beautiful and welcoming. Management has been great and are very supportive to all staff and our residents.

The buildings are very clean and nicely decorated, they have a fantastic Activities department and regular PT & OT staff on site so residents are able to feel comfortable and develop a rapport.

All initial apprehensions are immediately taken care of with patience and understanding. All questions are answered, all concerns are dealt with.The staff is friendly, cheerful and caring. Management, nursing and all departments are easily accessible. The rooms are bright and cheerful, the food is excellent. Nursing is on call 24 hours a day. Doctors are available as needed, as are podiatrists.The transition from home living to an assisted care facility is stressful and worrisome. Landings has made this transition worry free. My loved one is comfortable and happy and I am relieved and grateful.
