After my car was stolen , and several months of waiting for the repairs , to say I’m exhausted of dealing with car issues is an understatement. I was never under the impression that the team would fix my light bulb, because apparently Kia’s are of course so difficult. Brittney was so amazing and helpful, even willing to call around to see if I could run and get the headlight fixed. Quickly , Dillyn and Nick jumped in , and the whole team was helping me get it solved . On this day, at this time in life , this team literally brought so much restored hope in humanity. So all that to say, I think they need a raise !! And thank you all from the bottom of my heart !

They gave my car a jump, and sent me across the street to Advanced Auto Parts. Mike was so kind to take out my old dead battery and replace it with the new battery that I didn't even 'purchase' at his store!!!! I asked, 'How much do I owe you?'....and he said 'nothing, I just like helping people." I asked if he takes tips, and wouldn't even take that. Kudos to you Mike! If I could give you 10 stars for your kindness and chivalry...I definitely would! Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to help me out! I knew what part I needed but I wanted extra conformation on it so I wouldn't have to hassle when I took the car apart. The store was a little run down and it seemed like stuff was everywere. But besides that it was a great 1st experience.

Carquest, supposed to be good. Well guess what, it's not.I took to my favorite shop and they installed it and it failed. They asked where I got it from. I said advance, he goes return it , it's garbage. Buy an ac Delco. So I went to the store and bought a ac delco which was alot more and had a core charge but o well.So I went to return it and the guy was going to, but then this lady came over and goes we can't accept this, it's been used. I said yes it was installed and immediately failed. I came back and bought an acdelco and that one is running fine.She goes we can't accept an installed mass air flow sensor. I was like ok, but isn't there a warranty. Nope.Never will I do business here again.

I dont think im asking a lot for them not to guess when they dont know or at least read the package. This is not my first time with this experience. I always order parts online nowadays unless i need it same day because of this.
Megan McKee: I purchased a new battery from this location about a month ago. About 2 weeks later, late at night my car wouldn't start. I brought my car back in and they looked at the battery and they said everything looked perfect. Then 2 weeks later, I had the same issue randomly where my car wouldn't start. Again I brought it back in and they rudely explained to me how the car battery couldn't be the issue. From there I brought it to a different auto shop and they showed me how they had incorrectly put in the battery. I am extremely dissapointed that they failed to notice this in the 3 times that I visited. I would save yourself time and money and skip this place if you are looking to purchase a new battery.

Worst case is I ordered a hitch and they tried to lie to me and tell me it was not there and they could not find it in their records either. I then told them I would be there in 20mins. Guess what I got a call 5mins later saying "oh the hitch is in the back sorry" (the ups note said it was handed to a clerk) Also every single time I come in there they can't find my number even after I asked them to put in their system...===========================================================Yearly Review UpdateI have been back to this location recently. Now for the most part this update is for the better but I did encore a mistake. While returning a Lifetime Warranty item he told me its only good for 45 days... Now he was a younger fellow so it could have been a misunderstanding but surely I did get my replacement. Overall they have surely jumped up from that 1 star. Brian Paul: Tested my mom's battery in the parking lot and when it was toast they replaced it for her. They were quick and knew what they were doing. Also were able to test/diagnose an alternator issue for her. I have been going there for years and always felt the service was great.

Zach Tenney: I came to the store for a simple code read on my check engine light. Store employee Kyle provided this, informing me fully of the code. I thought that was all I needed, but in a strange turn of events my car battery seemed to die right there in the parking lot. I went back inside to ask for help. Kyle came out and saw me try to start the car, popped the hood to check for issues, and then offered to try jumping the car. That didn’t work, so he offered to test the battery. We found it was dead, so I asked if the store had a replacement battery in stock. We checked and found a battery, which I bought and Kyle worked hard to install outside in cold, windy conditions. We got the car started and I was able to get back on the road. While buying a new battery was unexpected, I am incredibly grateful to Kyle and the Advance Auto Walker store for helping me out of what would have been a very tough situation, as I rely on having a vehicle for getting to and from my job! Keep up the great work and great service. I will be a returning customer guaranteed if I have any future auto needs the store can help with. Thank you!

He found me the best battery and offered to install it as well. Upon getting to my car, he was honest and noticed that I had a part that was loose and making my car lose the battery connection. He offered me options, and gave his honest opinion. Thanks to Carl, I got to work okay and made it back home with no battery issues. He truly went above and beyond and he deserves some recognition for his work today! Thank you!
Venessa Bulk: I came in to get new windshield wipers since mine were starting to get worn. When I came to the store the first time, the employees were very helpful and were able to help me select what size wipers I needed. A day later when I got in my car, I realized that one of the wiper blades did not touch the entire windshield.I went back to try to return it and get one that would be a better fit. Kassidy said that the wipers weren't an issue, but the windshield or the arm of the wiper was. She talked down to me and and didn't believe me when I said my pervious wipers didn't have an issue. She refused to help me find a better solution and stated that I needed my car fixed in order for any wiper blade to work correctly. Spending $60 in blades, I was upset, so I went to another retailer. They stated that it was simply the brand that was the issue and not my car. This is not the first negative interaction I had with Kassidy. I will no longer be returning to this store location.

cameron watkins: I went in after confirming a manufacture warenty on a faulty part i went here under instruction of the grandville store. I was belittled and talked down to by a woman at the cashier desk. April 15 2023 at around 6pm. I was allready promised a exchange and had given propper identification of proof of purchase through their store. REFUSAL TO EXCHANGE A FAULTY PART OCCURRED. The costomer service rendered that day has me WAS ATROCIOUS, as i have never been so wrongly treated. I will be advising our company on what happend with our order of parts through you and advicating them to not go through your buisness anymore. Sad part is i used to buy all my parts here but after 2 bad reman parts in a row and a terrible service with both through customer service AND TERRIBLE TREATMENT after VERY POLITE conversation on my end and not the other way around. All i have to say is if you keep this up everyone will just go to another buisness because no one deserves to be so rudely treated and your reman parts are scrap at best.....
Suzanna Smit: I went to the AAP in Alpine, MI. The store manager, Eric, was extremely helpful. He went out of his way to find a new battery for my car, and even helped work through switching it out on my VW with all the new complicated electronic systems.
Danielle Weidner: The two employees I encountered during my brief visit to this store were the definition of unhelpful. giving the First Gentleman the benefit of the doubt, he didn’t have the slightest idea of what the check engine code meant, however he didn’t attempt to look it up either and just suggested I Google it. After taking that little piece of advice I reentered the store in search for a recommended product. The Second Gentleman was unprofessional, telling me that my car was doomed and that he’d buy my $25,000 car for $500 as he couldn’t tell me the difference between three similar items on the shelf. He then admitted that he bought cars for cheap and “fixed” them and resold them for more. If I had his name I’d warn anyone from buying from him, he seems like the kind of guy to treat the symptoms temporarily to make a quick buck and screw you out of your hard earned wages. By the way… it was the air filter (a simple $20 fix in 5 minutes). I will Never return to this store, fortunately there is an AutoZone right next door! They are extremely helpful, hands down!

Geo Nich: Staff are always friendly and seem to know their stuff.
Ryan Raible: Went in for some wiper blades. Spent about 5 minutes finding what I needed, but I spent 15 minutes waiting for an employee to show up before putting the blades on the counter and going to O'Reilly's down the street and getting helped immediately as I walked in. I will never go back here again. And I'm telling everybody I know to go to O'Reilly's instead. Shame.
Brent R. Kehr: I drove in before work to purchase a battery for my car to replace a dead one. Felicia gave me different prices and options and even offered her opinion. She made the process easy and smooth. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Hunter Thurston: Any time i go into this store the employees always have an attitude and are a pain to deal with. i love advanced auto parts and is usually my go to choice, however i always dread having to come into this store due to the employees. i needed a wiper blade ordered from another store that the employees would have to order. they fought about it and kept trying to push me away from having it ordered and hassling me about it. after they finally ordered it i never got a call letting me know when it was in. when i went in to the store to pick it up i was told they could not find it. after pushing persistently for about 30 minutes they finally were able to find the wiper and hassled me about giving it to me because they said they couldn't say for sure if i picked it up or not. finally i was able to get it but it was a dreadful experience and i almost just gave up and lost the $50 that i had put onto that order because of lazy and incompetent employees

Marvin Heyboer: Horrible experience. Refused to be served in 2020 because I didn't have a "mask" for reasons that are nobodies business. Told I was not welcome at the store. Got the same product from Meijer next door without so much as a word or glance. (Just had to walk further.) I have never gone back and never will. AutoZone, Kenowa Auto, O'Rielly all less than half a mile away.

Since I moved to Jenison, I choose O'Reilly. They hire car people that are personable and care to help.I went back to this store last night, because I have a gift card, and the person on duty ignored questions and did not engage in any meaningful conversation. He was rude and to the point, which reminded me why I no longer go here.When I am working on my car, I want car people to help; someone willing to listen and cares to WANT to help.. Not someone that just reads part numbers on a screen and when they have a bad day, the disrespect customers...Yeah, they will replace your wipers, so does O'reilly and Autozone...
Donald Dryer: Excellent service. I needed a wiper blade replaced on the rear window of my hatchback. I couldn't figure out how to remove the old blade. The clerk at Advance Auto Parts went out to my car with the new wiper blade and had it installed within 3 minutes. Always have great service here.
Philip Wigger: Love having this store in Jenison, I won't ever go back to Autozone, to many bad experiences there, anyway. This store is well stocked and has very helpful people. I went and picked up some sparkplugs, they were listed as the correct ones but when I got home they were not, a quick trip back and the staff noted the problem with the manufacturer's build, he tried several different sparkplugs and got me ones that fit and I was able to get my tune up finished quickly.

It was from the side and steaming, I said well it's not my radiator, but it's my fluid all over the parking lot. I googled places and I got Russ. He was so nice when I came in I had no fluid and low on oil also. He checked my van found what was wrong and in a couple hours had my daughter and I back on the road back home to Howard City. Great price, very nice did not lie or try to take advantage. I will use him again. Go see Russ, he is great. And I had to message him a while after this to ask what kind of fluid I needed to buy not to gunk up my system and mix fluids and he got back to me and helped me out over text. He is AWESOME. He recently did a ton of maintenance on my older car, and I’m very happy with his work.
Accounting DEPT: Russ is an amazing auto repair mechanic! I love the fact that he takes the time to explain what is wrong and includes pictures. Prices are reasonable and Russ isn't about scamming people like me who don't know a thing about cars.

Every time I have my car in to be repaired, I learn something about it, and I really like that. I also love supporting a Westside business! I give him major props because he is a small business owner and doing awesome work. When things don't go as planned (for example, some hoses needed for a repair were back ordered), he is communicative and helpful with those things, and super flexible (like letting you drop your car off overnight if you can't make it in the morning). We appreciate his work and honesty.
