When I got home and opened the box to sterilize the bottles, I was shocked to find that the bottles had been used! My guess is that the product I purchased was previously returned by another customer. Does the company not have a policy to review returns before the items are placed back on the sales floor? This experience is very disturbing, especially with something as delicate as a newborn bottle.

Heather Chalmers: Disappointed! I use this location since it is closest to my house. I work long hours and often can’t shop until later. Went in a little after 9pm tonight and the entire produce section was closed for cleaning. No one could get me anything from that area. Management and team member were not able to assist me. I was told they routinely close the produce section early for cleaning. I’m sorry but 9pm is too early to close the produce section when your store is open until midnight. I thought I would do all my other shopping first and check back - still closed. I had to go to another store to finish my grocery shopping. If this is the new normal, I won’t be shopping here.

I had to bag most of my own items while the cashier just stared at me and didn’t even say thank you. The other employees will bump into you and cut you off while you’re walking with no acknowledgment or “excuse me”. As a southerner living in Michigan, it’s a shame that I have to turn a blind eye to rude behavior in most places I go 😓 Just be polite, you’re working.

Especially if you are ordering Shipt or curbside pickup.Watch dates on sale items! And check for open box stuff. I've come home with missing pieces/contents to purchases because they were stolen. Meijer is pretty good about the replacements, but it's the trouble of dealing with the situation.For the most part the staff have been at least cordial. I've never had a Meijer team member be directly rude to me. However, your kindness goes a long way : )

Mrs. Walker (Key'Oir Laveau): I ordered groceries and two non grocery items and had my debit card charged $43. One of the non food items was $1 and the other $5. The shopper asked if I needed anything because there was a lot of items missing in store like always so I had to substitute. I was charged for the food items on my debit and Meijer refused to reimburse me. This has never happened before and I’ve been using this service for months. So before of them not having your items you will be charged extra.

Aubree Watson: They charged $100 on my EBT card and then refunded the whole transaction because I had to go out to my car to grab my wallet to pay for my non-EBT items. They refused to give me a receipt to prove they did the refund and said they had to restart their whole system. Now I’m missing $100, EBT has no record of any refund being processed, and when I called Meijer corporate they said they should’ve gave me a receipt that all credit, debit, and EBT purchases (even refunds) come with a receipt. The fact that the lady at the register and a manager in the store told me they couldn’t give me a receipt to prove my refund but corporate said otherwise seems really fishy. I had to leave my whole basket of groceries by the checkout and now I’m wondering if one of the workers swiped my card and stole all that food so they could get free groceries?! they’re telling me just to keep waiting, if I still don’t have my money refunded within 10 days then to take it up with EBT, and EBT is saying I will have to open a whole fraud case for them charging my card without my consent! I just want them to make things right my family now has $100 less for groceries for the month, which we really need especially with prices of everything going up. Meijer stole $100 from my EBT and won’t make things right!

Unfortunately the Quick Scan ate with 3 kiosks was acting up and only 1 was working.The biggest issue with Mejer is that if you use the app, you still have to wait for an employee who is responsible for 30 kiosks to come help if there is an ssue or they have to check items.There should be a discount just for doing all the work.

Chad Becker: Like most, Meijer is my only real option, so...whatever.But I do miss the days of Meijer of old, where the sales prices simply meant that's the price you get. Not some nonsense sale that only people with a huge pantry or family can afford to stock up on 5 of everything. Or weird M-Perks sales where, even though you are already IN THE STORE, you would have to sign into some web-account and search for the item and digitally "clip" the coupon to then get it at the register...I tried doing that one night, I guess when I was at my lowest, and when it proved to not be a seamless process, and I was spending over 2 minutes looking at my phone in the isle, in order to save 40-cents on soup...I realized Meijer was making me question my very life. I enjoyed it when Meijer didn't force me to jump through needless hoops and question my very life. You know?Anywho -- it's also too bad that they used the Covid years to go down to only 1 of 2 entrances being open at night time, and seem to have no interest in being accessible again. Same for the loss of 24 hour shopping. How restricting hours and accessible-entrances in order to help people avoid an AIR-BORN proximity-passed disease is completely beyond me. Because it's beyond everyone. It's nonsense.So yeah...Just chalk Meijers up as another thing that got worse since and because of Covid and may never return to it's former glory.

Keith America: When I was a kid, a really poor kid, back in 1981, I stole a pair of Converse tennis shoes from this Meijer location. I was all of 10 years old. In 2001 I returned to this store with my 5 year old daughter and asked for a store manager and wanted to apologize and to pay for those shoes. The manager said to go out on the floor and look for someone less fortunate and buy their shoes and we would be squared up. Well I ended up buying three pair of shoes for an 11 year old because she could not make up her mind. I was glad to get that off of my chest and fortunately the manager was not at all upset about it in 2001.

Aaron Savage: While I miss Meijer being open 24 hours, I think the new hours are just fine. I would like to see the shelves stocked while the store is closed rather than blocking access to aisles and product while folks are shopping.

Heidi A: At the Plainfield location in particular, it seems like they are frequently out of stock on many things. It can't really be "supply chain issues" anymore because I find the out of stock items in other stores. It is frustrating. Since the remodel, they seem to have less selection and the layout changed, which I don't find was an improvement. I don't find their M-Perks system to be very convenient either. Overall, I still primarily shop here because of the convenience of the location but I don't think that Meijer is the great store that I once found it to be and that is disappointing.

Jax: In-store associates are friendly enough, but don't even bother trying to call with a question. The automated phone will tell you to choose a dept, but it won't actually dial there. When someone does pick up, they'll have to transfer you (to the dept you were already calling) and there's a very good chance you'll be on hold for a while. No one is staffing half the depts, and the associates you can find are nice, but never know the answers for questions outside their areas.Don't waste your time if you need to call with a question.
