Kayla Henneman: One of the best resturants in Grand Rapids. The Korean tacos are a 12/10.Definitely need to stop in to order. Abdul, the owner, is so friendly and always behind the grill. I cannot recommend enough. Don't forget to grab a punch card on the way out!

Lisa Ann: I've always loved this place, however when I just went in for the first time in a couple months my jaw hit the floor at their increased prices. $20 for three small tacos and $19 for nachos. When I asked the employee if they increased their prices, he said "yea a little bit." Yea $5+ increase on every menu item is more than a little bit. Idk what made them hike their prices like this, but it's incredibly unfortunate because I would frequently come in and order multiple entrees. Today that would have cost me twice as much as previous visits ($40 for three tacos and a rice bowl??😬) Instead I walked out and am looking for a different place to eat.

Definitely doing their own thing, not competing with anyone.I’ve been living here for 6 years, and this place continues to hold a unique value in the GR food scene.Take-out is what I’d suggest, although there is room to dine in.Parking isn’t ideal- street parking only. But it’s worth the hassle! I’d try Peking over by the community college or the veterans and then walking over. Or bring a friend and just do take out. Have them drop you off!

Now I'll have to get a pita and taco when stopping in lolThe tacos were AMAZING, they have vegan and veg options which makes this vegetarian ecstatic!! You Have to try the teriyaki and yum yum sauce together on the tacos, corn tortillas all the way, best I've had in a while. The fried wonton was also another yummy twist, egg roll filled with cheese!

A trio of tacos jumped from $13.50 to over $18. $5 is a big jump and honestly, as much as we love these tacos, it's not worth paying almost $50 for 6 tacos and 2 drinks. I get the price of food for restaurants is higher, but at this rate, you're going to lose a lot of customers who can't afford the new prices.

The lamb was cooked right then and there and she loved it!I got the shrimp fried rice bowl and it was very good. Great taste.You can add different toppings and one of the employees suggested mixing 2 of the sauces. He was right, they worked well together.They have coke products- both bottles and fountain.The garlic sauce is also awesome.Give this place a try!
Carl Roger: Was not the best experience for a first-time customer. Made an order online for 2 Baklava & 2 Korean Chefs Cake that would take 30 minutes. Not a problem. I show and first have to deal with a homeless person standing out front asking for money, which is not their problem, but frustrating. When I show up, I tell the man working my pickup. And he points to the counter where there is a stack of Baklava already packaged, but they are out of the Cheesecake. So, before I can politely ask for a refund, he hands me two of the same size dishes (as Baklava) saying, "This Cinnamon..." (I could not understand what he was saying. Again, they were busy, and it was loud. He said ..."This Cinnamon....much better". I just took and went home. Needless to say, none of us were impressed with either dish. Smaller than expected, and cold. Of course, the foo had been sitting on the counter. Not sure why we had to wait 30 minutes. I am a firm believer of tipping, but for this order of $30.00, the tip was not earned at all ($6.00) - The store was clean. Just not a great first impression.Parking: No parking when we came.
MMJ 3 Family: This place is one of the best in the city and I absolutely love it. The problem is it’s now $25 for the three taco combo. Just for three tacos it’s $18.99. Nowhere on the planet should tacos cost that much. They started at $11.99 which was good. Then it rose to $14.99 and i get it costs have risen but it’s now $18.99… 5 star for creative great tasting fusion tacos but 1 star for price…
Raya Aqel: Char is a great place to eat. I've been a customer for almost over two years now. They're Muslim owned, halal food with amazing tastes and menu items. Sometimes I do find my chicken in my chicken tacos to be pink which has caused me to get sick more than twice. This is just me being honest. However, recently they raised their prices to absurd amounts. Almost $20 for 3 tacos? Are you kidding? Just a few days ago I came in for the first time in awhile, I got 6 tacos and 2 wonton cheese rolls and paid $49 and some change. My jaw dropped at the register. I have never paid this much here and I use to come here every Tuesday and Thursday when I attended GRCC. I used to pay less than $15 for 3 tacos a cheese roll and a drink. I won't be returning anytime soon. These prices are ridiculous. Char is good but not that good.

We were often given poor advice from locals with bad taste in food. We decided to check on google to find a local Asian cuisine with amazing food! We did JUST THAT. With such fantastic reviews already, we knew we had to try!At this time, Covid was still at a high and most places were take-out only. We didn’t want to sacrifice the quality of our meal by ordering take-out, but after reading the reviews, we would have been silly not to! The food, even traveling 15min home, was undeniably delicious. 🤤We went ahead and sat inside the VERY SECOND they re-opened for dine-in! The service was TOP-TIER from start to finish! It started a whole routine. We began visiting almost twice a week! We got so close to the family, we held every birthday celebration here inviting our family from out of town. Even our sons 4th bday. It’s become our tradition now. 🧡We became “”victims”” of routine with our fav dishes! 😋 We order the “Bali Bali Beef” and “Crab Cheese” appetizers, even our toddler loves them! Our son also LOVES the “Veggie Lo Mein” as his entree! My favorite is the “Orange Chicken.” When they told me it took two days to develop their PERFECT AUTHENTIC orange sauce from scratch, I said “say no more.” 😂👏 I’LL TAKE IT! My boyfriend always tries something new! He says you can’t go wrong with the “Singapore Noodles”We will continue to support Gaslight as It is our absolute favorite Grand Rapids Restaurant. If you’re looking for authentic Asian cuisine, family atmosphere, and a warm welcome.. I HIGHLY suggest you check them out! You don’t want to regret it, I don’t believe there’s a comparable restaurant. 10/10 every single time, thank you! 💕

Jennifer: First time diner's at P.F. Chang's out celebrating our son's graduation with a party of five.1. We asked the hostess for a booth. It was 8pm and the restaurant was only 20% full and there were many booths available. We were seated at a table for some reason instead.2. One of the two appetizers we ordered was cold when it should have been warm.3. The peppered steak and ceasar salad were both excellent.4. We ordered fried rice, to go with our meals, but this came out late after half of our party was almost finished eating.5. Our waiter was very nice and we tipped him appropriately (21%).6. As we were leaving the hostess was cleaning one of the front doors and did not even move to open the door for us to exit. She continued to clean the glass which came across as oddly rude.I worked in restaurants throughout my 20's from bars, low end to 5 star dining establishments. I have expectations based off of these experiences and unfortunately P.F. Chang's did not impress.

Toon Win: Octopus sashimi were 2 very thick cuts that should have been sliced much thinner.Steak hibachi was very tough even though I ordered medium rare. The rice was hard and bland so I put their yum yum sauce on it, which was very sour.The ginger salad that came with the hibachi had very little flavor.Egg drop and miso soup were normal.The beef in the yaki udon felt like they put a lot of corn starch on it but tasted fine.We ordered 4 sushi rolls (surf and turf, Grand Rapids, crazy boy, and MI). The rolls all fell apart really easily and were not tightly wrapped. Flavor wise, none of them really stood out.There are lots of better sushi options in GR - even along Monroe Center. I would probably avoid this one.

We typically get almost 2.5 meals out of one tray (we make several cups of rice at home to go with it.) Hard to get a single meal for 5 anywhere else for $55. We typically spend $70+ for pizza, or Chipotle etc.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options cannot all be guaranteed to vegetarian (they call the vegetables not vegetarian because of this) the sauces might have some meat/fish/oyster sauce. Their VEGAN dishes are vegan. We got a party tray of Vegan Bean curd. It was delicious! I ordered as a walk-in and set down to play a 15 min game on my phone. The party tray was ready in 8 min. It was packaged REALLY well. I fumbled a bit putting it in my car and tipped the tray about 60 degrees. The foil stayed put and nothing split. But it was in a cardboard box they provided so even if it had. . Would have been in the box.

Meaghan McGuire: Best Chinese food in Grand Rapids and the service is beyond what you would expect at a quick service restaurant! They are always incredibly friendly and like to have fun with their customers. Their lunch and dinner prices are unbeatable for the quality of food you receive and they work fast! My friend and I ordered probably 5 meals for a small get together and I think we waited 10 minutes for all of that food! I highly recommend! Thanks to them for always making my day better when I visit!

What I love most about the Pho is that this restaurant, in my opinion, has the best tasting rare steak and brisket ingredients for Pho. A different restaurant is my #1 for broth. Instead of saying this is my #2 spot, maybe I should say it's my shared #1 spot in West Michigan for Phi Tai Gao. The Pho is delicious, very well prepared, and satisfying! You can't go wrong here. He said he could not sit us together and would have to separate our table because he was alone. Mind you the restaurant was empty besides two other tables, which had 5+ at each! We put the tables together ourselves as we weren’t going to order without them and upon this the server/host approached us telling us he didn’t want us together because it was too much for him. Despite having two other tables with more customers than us. I don’t know what exactly made us stand out from the other two tables, I’d hate to think it was discriminatory towards my family. He did mention one of the tables called ahead, but we never saw that we had to call ahead for dinner. I understand he was alone, but that can’t possibly be our fault for wanting to enjoy some food here. It left us wondering why we were called out for having a party of 5+ and others didn’t, left Instead of making him more unhappy, not knowing what service he would’ve given.

Daniel Schumaker: I go here all the time. They have a great variety of food, including mostly Thai but also Vietnamese and Chinese. Yes you can get the classic orange chicken and fried rice like you can at most Asian restaurants in West Michigan, except it's probably a step up from what you're used to. The krab rangoon is particularly good here too. But I highly encourage trying other things, I am a huge fan of their pad see ew, sweet and spicy and salty and delicious. The drunken noodles were also solid. Lastly I really enjoy their pineapple curry, I recommend getting all of the above with beef, the chicken was a little dry every now and then but the beef is usually nice and tender. I would confidently say it's the best food in the immediate area, only competing against a few other eateries like Vitale's and the dreaded Hunun Restaurant just down the street (don't go there, it's really cheap and really dry food). The only reason I don't give this place a full five stars is because they aren't as authentic as some other places in the greater GR area. They don't have pork, they don't have tendon, they don't have tripe, and other meats that are hard to find in West Michigan. Maybe I'm being a little nit-picky here, but I like having those options. Overall though you won't regret coming here. It's affordable and always delicious.

Our server was very chatty and over shared alot to the point we were patiently waiting for her to return to finish ordering our food. We had an appetizer delivered before we were able to place our drink order. She got "stuck" at the register speaking to a man about her Bob Dylan t-shirt and his Dylan impression for what seemed like 10 minutes or more. It was frustrating to listen to. She was lovely and did an great job, just seemed overtly chatty. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The kids love the fresh bubble tea and the brownie was decadent and rich. My youngest son decided he did not care for curry and we ordered an orange chicken to go. I always get the Tom Ka Gai, it's always delicious and hot! I will definitely order again, maybe not dine in.
