After about a day they called and told me my transmission is bad and it will cost almost $12000. Katie Holloway: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!Especially if you are a female (young or old).I was recommended from an oil change shop to bring my car here. I was told that the staff members are good people and that they all go to church together. I was also told that they wouldn't take advantage of me because I'm a young female in college or screw me over.I ended up bringing my car here last week, and they essentially wanted to replace a sizable portion of my transmission, with a $4,500 estimate. I took it to another shop in Grand Rapids because this didn't seem right to me, and they claimed that both their estimation and the problem were entirely incorrect. In the end, I just had to replace a little component for only $500.Seeing other reviews for this shop this doesn't seem out of the blue from this place to do this to people.Please save yourself the $150 inspection fee and excessive (and false) estimate prices from this company. It disturbs me to think that they intended to use a young female (or anyone else) for their financial gain.

It was from the side and steaming, I said well it's not my radiator, but it's my fluid all over the parking lot. I googled places and I got Russ. He was so nice when I came in I had no fluid and low on oil also. He checked my van found what was wrong and in a couple hours had my daughter and I back on the road back home to Howard City. Great price, very nice did not lie or try to take advantage. I will use him again. Go see Russ, he is great. And I had to message him a while after this to ask what kind of fluid I needed to buy not to gunk up my system and mix fluids and he got back to me and helped me out over text. He is AWESOME. He recently did a ton of maintenance on my older car, and I’m very happy with his work.

Every time I have my car in to be repaired, I learn something about it, and I really like that. I also love supporting a Westside business! I give him major props because he is a small business owner and doing awesome work. When things don't go as planned (for example, some hoses needed for a repair were back ordered), he is communicative and helpful with those things, and super flexible (like letting you drop your car off overnight if you can't make it in the morning). We appreciate his work and honesty.

Jack Jack: Got my brakes and rotors done here. Price is very reasonable and they do it quickly! I never leave a review for mechanics as my emotions get the best of me after a costly repair. But this place was the best price and service overall. I highly recommend to give this place a call if your considering getting your car repaired.
Adam Rodts: Excellent communication, customer service and efficient! Happened to break down in Grand Rapids and had completely demolished my radiator. I barely know anybody here but heard from a friend that they and their family have taken their vehicles here and have always had great luck. I also agree and am honestly shocked at how quickly a turnaround there was! From identifying the problem to having the car fixed was under 24 hours. Everyone was extremely polite and they even were able to get the radiator cheaper than originally thought. I know thats not always a guarantee but it's always nice to know people are looking out for you! Anyways, if I didn't live 2 hours away this would be where I go from here on! Best experience I've had in auto repair!

Bri: I came to Aleman’s as a second opinion; I went to a completely different mechanic at a completely different auto repair shop (in my local town) and I called Aleman’s and told them what I was advised and what the other mechanic found during their “inspection”, and my mechanic at Aleman’s not only stated that he could get this very expensive fix done for me in one day (I have a toddler and my vehicle is my only means of transportation) but he also advised that he would do it for a better price than the other 10 shops I called could give me. I brought my car in the night before and it was the first vehicle worked on the next morning. When my mechanic at Aleman’s was getting ready to change out the parts and he called advising in his experience what the issue I was originally advised was not going to fix the problem, that in his experience it was “xyz”. I couldn’t be more grateful for his experience, expertise and his transparency with me regarding the issue with my vehicle. Not only does my vehicle drive the way it should, but also by him being a very honest and trustworthy mechanic, he saved me over $700. Needless to say, I will NEVER go to any other auto shop.Please consider them for all your needs, I promise you that you will be taken care of, not to mention their team is very friendly and knowledgeable. He diagnosed and fixed the electrical problem in a snap.And for less than the dealership's minimum rack charge.Since I've got a 2001 Civic, Newton's first Principle will inevitably apply ("...a body in motion will remain in motion unless it is acted upon by an external force… "), and when it does, look for me at Aleman's.

Cynts Fashions: I Wont be going back, paid $1400 during covid when my muffler broke. They put it back together without ordering new parts. Fell apart less than 2 years later. My car looks damaged underneath parts looked like they were never changed. Then told me I had to pay another $586 to fix a $100 muffler and when I didnt let them fix it they beat up my back muffler and put it back together. GOT RIPPED OFF!!

Mallory Heldt: They have left me stranded on a holiday weekend because they failed to mention they would be closed for an extended holiday weekend. This visit (second total) I never went to the shop prior to trying to pick it up (it was towed). Not once in the five phone conversations with them did they mention I wouldn't be able to get my car the next day (Friday), even when explaining they might not be able to finish it Thursday. My holiday weekend in turn has been ruined, and all of my plans have to be cancelled or rescheduled. This is beyond inconvenient in the middle of moving. As a single mom, with one car its also potentially disastrous. Don't trust them to tell you important things. My first visit they also failed to mention I might smell burning or see smoke after my repair, both of which happened. Ensuring I get out of my car in the rain during my commute, and causing extreme panic. They work could be great but their communication skills are negligent at best.
Ronson Macleod: Northeast Automotive is my go-to place for car repairs on the NE side. They give you an honest assessment of the job, accurate estimates and get the job done..and done right. I will be a repeat customer for my car repair needs. Update 9.18.21: Just had brakes done, fit me in same day and did a great job as usual. Still highly recommend!!

Tsadaqah: I have used Haritage many times. I have brought my own car and the vehicles of several family members to heritage to have an inspection of a used car for purchase done. They do a very thorough job with a detailed report. You could get an inspection that costs less somewhere else, but I can guarantee it won't be done with the same standards and attention to detail. Their inspection is well worth the price.I would also like to give a special review to Mike. He is very warm and friendly. He is great at breaking down and explaining any questions you may have. After multiple attempts to replace a power steering pump and several bad ones, the 4th time worked. Mike had no problem replacing the ones he put on until he finally found an OEM part. Cade Snuffer: Charged 2 hours of labor to check out an issue. Ended up not having them fix it, only to later figure out their diagnosis was a complete lie. Was told my shifter cable was completely severed. I was later told on the phone that the technician lied about that fact. Instead, the actual issue is a bushing with an easy $10 fix. This place gave us a $600 estimate for something anyone can fix for 10 bucks and a YouTube video. Owner took no responsibility. Do not go here, you will get scammed.

Brian Andree: My Nissan Versa broke down last Friday and needed a new crankshaft position sensor. The team at Heritage was great, I typically take my car to the Nissan Gezon Dealership since nobody I know has owned a Nissan and I had no clue where else to go, but I was told it would be at least 2 months before I would even get in for service. I saw Heritage was an option under my MaxCare contract, and they were able to get me in ASAP! Great communication, turnaround, and Mike made it very easy to understand what was wrong with the car and what steps they were taking. Monique Wilkinson: I made an online appointment for our van that was blowing cold air on the heat setting, and was scheduled for a Tuesday am drop off. I got a text leading me online to approve or disapprove repairs on Wednesday morning, I approved everything. I didn't hear anything Thursday, so I called Friday and was told that it would be ready Monday, that my approvals had not shown up until he looked in the system. My husband called Monday and was told it would be ready the next day. Nothing. I went up there today 3/15 and was told that what I originally dropped it off for was not done and wasn't going to be done because they were having a hard time finding parts. I wasn't even told what needed to be repaired because they did not want to open the dash without having the parts. I wish that would have been communicated before today.
