Jennifer: First time diner's at P.F. Chang's out celebrating our son's graduation with a party of five.1. We asked the hostess for a booth. It was 8pm and the restaurant was only 20% full and there were many booths available. We were seated at a table for some reason instead.2. One of the two appetizers we ordered was cold when it should have been warm.3. The peppered steak and ceasar salad were both excellent.4. We ordered fried rice, to go with our meals, but this came out late after half of our party was almost finished eating.5. Our waiter was very nice and we tipped him appropriately (21%).6. As we were leaving the hostess was cleaning one of the front doors and did not even move to open the door for us to exit. She continued to clean the glass which came across as oddly rude.I worked in restaurants throughout my 20's from bars, low end to 5 star dining establishments. I have expectations based off of these experiences and unfortunately P.F. Chang's did not impress.

Portions have gotten smaller over the years, but it's still plenty of food per person and always tastes great! The highlight item we ordered was the Lo mein, but the dumplings (more like pot-stickers) were tasty as well. The fried rice was mediocre, and the egg roll wasn’t crispy, but overall, the flavor of the food was pretty good.

Guest User: I’ve always noticed that the price would change even though we ordered the same thing every time . So today I decided to test it ordered through the phone, And a meal that should’ve cost us almost $18 we were charged $28. A whole $10 more. Be careful with ordering food with these people they make up the prices as they go. I would love to know if anyone else has this problem or has noticed. I’m almost offended by their actions and probably will find a new Chinese spot that honors my contribution to their establishment.

James Panter: How does this place stay open? I ordered chicken lo mein and it tasted like the dirtiest fish that has ever laid on the beach for a week. I brought it back and the guy told me it's because I can't handle spicy food. Insisted on just giving me my money back. I order all my Chinese food 9 out of 10 hot so believe me, it's not me. So disgusting. I was really hoping this place would get better after all these years but somehow, some way, they are still in business. Blows my mind. I'm going to go throw up now.

Daniel Schumaker: If you don't have much of a standard for Chinese takeout, I could see you enjoying this. It certainly is food. But their fried goods are absolutely soaked and dripping in oil, and their meats are so dry. I've never gotten food from them that tasted fresh. The rice was dry and crunchy. Overall it's just not up to my standards. There are a lot of places in West Michigan that offer better food at the same price and are more authentic. This really is just American food. I like the staff a lot, they're always friendly and they are always quick to get you you're food. I hate leaving such a negative review when they've been so nice but the food just isn't up to snuff. Sorry Hunan, but until you step up your game in terms of quality, two stars is the best I can give you 😞 I hope one day this place turns around because I love this area and only live a two minute drive away. But I would tell people to avoid eating here and instead go to Lai Thai Kitchen just a couple blocks away. They really put this place to shame.

We ordered crab ragoon and egg rolls for our appetizer and they were soaked in oil. The shrimp with lobster sauce looked like a watery egg omelette with just 5 pieces of shrimp in it. It tasted nasty!!! Our fried rice had long black hair. I informed our waitress about the fried rice issue and she asked me if I wanted them to make another one but I refused. An older gentleman came to our table and had the audacity to tell me that he thinks it was my hair that was found in the fried rice. He was very rude and unprofessional about the entire incident, he was very sarcastic and offensive. He made it seem as though I put my hair in my food so I could eat for free. I was reading all the reviews for this restaurant, I came across one other customer review on long black hair and a roach in their food. I don't recommend this restaurant at all.

trish dagle: This was a place My family went to all the time. However a recent experience left an impression. We were the only ones in the restaurant at that time. The staff were inattentive and rushed. The bill came too early before I had a chance to order a to-go item. I requested the item and thought she would just add it to my bill. Instead the manager came to our table and loudly announced "you need to pay for that!" I explained quietly that it was my intention and thought the waitress would add it. I felt like an uninvited guest. The food is not worth the headache. Used to be a great place, no more.

〽 Ê: My Wife and I went to Dinner here at the Golden Wok on April 5th, 2023. We've been here before, and everytime it's been a great delicious experience. Right off the bat, the service was excellent. We were seated by the window, given 2 menu's, fresh ice water, and offered tea. We started this food experience off with a few appetizers. Fried Dumplings, Egg drop soup, and Crab Rangoon. All of them were excellent. They have the best Egg Drop Soup in Grand Rapids. For our main courses we ordered the House Lo Mein, and Curry Chicken w extra sauce. The Lo Mein was superb, but the Curry Chicken stole the show. Super flavorful and served hot. The waitress was informative and attentive with a friendly demeanor. They also offer a 5% discount if you pay in cash. We will be definitely be coming back again soon.

Brad Konkle: It's a decent, clean restaurant that usually has good service, but we went on Christmas day so the slow service was understandable with how packed they were. They have the best egg drop soup around. CK S: We have eaten here previously, never any issues, never anything above expectations either. Service has been somewhat slow at times, however usually when the place is busy. This last time we went there were maybe 10 people in the entire restaurant. It was not late at night, maybe about 6:15 or 6:30 upon our arrival.We were seated right away but waited at least 20-22 minutes for someone to come to our table. We are well aware of the situation that so many restaurants are dealing with as far as labor issues, so while the wait was irritating, we understood, however we could not understand why with so few people, no one would come over and let us know someone would be with us shortly.Eventually a server came over with her pad and pen ready. My wife mentioned ordering a drink. At that moment the waitress looked at my wife as if she had forgotten something, just a blank stare and after about 10 seconds she walked away never saying a word. As she walked away she grabbed some dirty dishes from a table and went into the kitchen. We thought maybe she was getting a drink menu or something. She came out one additional time and took an order from another table and disappeared into the kitchen yet again.At this point we had sat there for another 15 minutes (we didn't even have water), and finally decided to leave. We got up and walked out. As we passed the cashier's stand, the girl behind the counter had her face buried in her phone and never even looked up or acknowledged us leaving.Done. Not. Going. There. Ever. Again.By the way, Kitchen 67 was fantastic as usual.

trouty606: This has been our favorite local Chinese restaurant in Grand Rapids for over 15 years! The staff has always been super friendly every time we're there, the prices are reasonable, and the food is great. Absolutely go dine in for the lunch specials, it's the best deal and you get so much food for it. Their hot & sour soup is amazing, we get it every time and I've never had better at another Chinese restaurant. My personal favorite entree is the chicken & broccoli. It's a mild dish but real comfort food for me, and the broccoli is cooked perfectly every time where it's still got a good fresh snap to it and is never mushy. The fried dumplings are another fave, as I like that they're more of a bread wrapper than the pasta-like gyoza most places do.Takeout is always super quick and in all the years I've been going I can't ever remember them getting my order wrong. Dine-in is also recommended, I enjoy the nice quiet atmosphere they have.Seriously, I've tried 6 other Chinese places within reasonable driving range for me, and in this part of GR Golden Wok is way above them. Fantastic place!Vegetarian options: Various veggie dishes to choose from without meat.Parking: Usually plenty of open parking as it's part of a strip mall but not near anything else busy.

John Evans: Basic atmosphere with take out only at this time. What is great is the variety of dishes on the menu. They have a variety of sauces they use for the dishes so everything doesn't taste the same. Veggies are fresh and not overcooked with a variety of meats, seafood or meatless. The portions are enough for 2 meals for me at a reasonable price. I feel that the prices are reasonable, especially for the amount of food they give you.

Kelly Gardner: The food is fun! We really enjoyed the Honey Toast. Delicious, toasy, and creamy perfection! The Beef Bulgogi nachos were ok; the presentation was lacking, and the sauce was overpowering. They appeared to be understaffed on a busy Saturday, so the dining room and bathrooms were super clean, but the staff was friendly and the service was fast. They even waited for us to eat the nachos before preparing the Honey Toast, which was very kind and much appreciated.

If the sesame seed chicken or the general tsos chicken didn’t have sauce, I am 100% positive they would also be tasteless. How in the heck is the food hot and fresh but have absolutely no taste?!? The egg rolls came with sauce and it tasted like fruit punch! The egg roll was as dry Arizona heat! What little I ate is just sitting in my stomach like a brick. I basically donated $45, never again.

We got a menu in the mail after not going to Tea Garden in probably 10 years. Prices have gone up everywhere, and Tea Garden seemed like it might be a good value.[Ron Howard Voiceover: It wasn't]The sauces on our dish tasted weird, like they came from a giant can. Definitely not fresh tasting. It was kind of like a glorified frozen Chinese meal you might find at Costco or Sam's. Very disappointed. I'd say spend a few more $ and go to Grand Lakes in Breton Village or any number of restaurants on Division or Eastern south of 28th Street.
Sean Ferguson: Veggies were fresh, if a little repetitive across dishes (carrot, broccoli, onion, sometimes a green bean). They did a free add of tofu for one dish, very appreciated. The spiciness level of the Szechuan was nearly non-existent and I didn't get the telltale numbing typical of the genre. But, it was pretty tasty. The fried rice might be the best of the things we had, flavorful without that gross cheap oil flavor of so many other restaurants.
