Kari Hicks: I don’t get to treat myself to a Lush visit very often, but when I do, it’s always for bath bombs! They are better than anything you’re gonna get from any of the big chain stores, that come wrapped in plastic. I love the special occasion/seasonal ones, and have never been disappointed. The employees at this store are always very helpful, and seem genuinely friendly. The sweet girl that rang my bombs up included a bag of dried flowers, and it just really made my day…it’s been a tough couple of weeks, and that one small thing just meant so much. As an exhausted mom and step-mom, getting that little bit of me time relaxing with my fancy Lush bath bomb is such a big deal! Thank you so much!

D T: I was having a tough day, just dropped my daughter off at an extremely difficult exam after we had found out 15 minutes earlier that her father-in-law had just passed away. Shed a few tears and went to the mall to spend some time while I waited the 4 hours. Went into my favorite store, LUSH, and was greeted by Gretchen who could see I was was stressed and upset. She was so sweet and helpful without being pushy. She listened, suggested products and even made me laugh. Emily at the register was equally nice and helpful. While I love Lush products and visit this store whenever I’m in town, it’s these two employees who made the experience so wonderful. This is the first review I have ever written on any store and I just wanted those two to know they made my day. Please people a little kindness can change someone’s day, be kind like Gretchen and Emily! Thanks ladies 🙂

Just Me: My daughter wanted to check out Lush as we were walking by so we just had to take the time to check the store out. One of the employees that we were talking with was beyond helpful & amazing. I asked if there was a brochure of some kind or something that lists the products & all that entails which sadly there wasn't. The employee (sorry I had forgotten your name)was very informative & had given us each a sample to walk off with eventhough we didn't purchase anything. The employee did mention about going to the website & check out their products that they sell which offers a lot of information including giving your skin type & allergies. Everything is made with fresh ingredients. Now just to try your product & check out the website. Thank you Lush!

Shenae Shampine: I came into the store with full makeup and a dress but no hair 😱 on my way to a concert I didn't have time to try on or look too long. I picked one out paid and asked if I could use the ✂️ (for the lace) the lady name begins with a J and I'm so mad that I can't remember it. Anyways she was a life saver. She took me to the back and sat me down. Cut the lace and gave me baby hair! She did it so quickly and I'm so very thankful for you. I love my hair and when I'm in town this will be the place I go!Thank you again!

Phyiir Moonchild: Worst shopping experience ever! The owners literally followed me through the store at a 3ft distance. They each stood at the end of the isles as I browsed their products listening to my phone conversation telling me to shut off my camera as i was video chatting my daughter so she could choose a hair color. Completely unprofessional "hurry up and buy attitude" I couldn't even focus on what I came for I was so distracted by the fact they were on my heals the moment I entered the store.
cozykay: On December 15 I purchased synthetic hair from this hair shop. I just looked into the bag today (dec 20) and I noticed that an item (a fake ponytail) that I did not pick up was in the bag along with 3 packs of hair that I did grab. I assume that the cashier (the older woman that’s always there) slipped the faux ponytail into my bag when I was not looking. I assume so because I remember turning my back to look at the makeup behind me because I was considering buying lip gloss but decided against it. I also looked today and noticed that I should have been charged $6 dollars since the hair was a dollar and ended up paying $17. The ponytail was $11.99. I’ve bought hair from there for years and have never had any scandals with them. Very disappointed and probably will not buy from them again. Both the man and the woman that is always present are very nice, but they scammed me.

Lauren N: After taking the advice of the Ulta salesperson, I bought a tinted moisturizer that was recommended by the salesperson. I had heard of the product having an issue with the pump, so I was hesitant to purchase it. The salesperson assured me that I would be able to return the product at any point if there was an issue.Of course, the moisturizer ended up having a defective pump halfway through using the product.I went to exchange the product at the Canton, MI location, but they didn’t have it in stock. The Canton location was going to give a store credit because it was defective. At the time, I didn’t take the store credit. I had planned to find another ulta that had this product in stock so that I could do the exchange at that time, which is why I didn’t take the store credit.I ended up finding the in-stock product at this location in Grand Rapids. I explained the situation to the store manager, Brandy Brown, and how the other Ulta location had promised that I’d get store credit if I ran into this issue. After explaining the issue, showed her that the product was defective, and let her know that the Canton, MI location had promised store credit for the defective product, Brandy told me that there was nothing she could do.But Brandy Brown had no problem telling me, “maybe you shouldn’t buy this product again” with a demeaning tone of voice. She said that she could not give me store credit as it was outside of the 60-day return window.I explained that this wasn’t a normal return or exchange - the product was defective.Still, she said there was nothing she could do.I asked for the number of the regional manager and she wouldn’t give it to me. Instead, she only gave me the number for customer service. Brandy said that she did not have a store business card either. She did not try to assist any further outside of telling me that there was nothing she could do.When my daughter mentioned to me that we could find the customer service number and that we had Brandy’s name to use in reference to the issue with the company policy (this company policy was what Brandy referred to when saying that she could not do anything), Brandy, then, asked my daughter if there was an issue with her level of service and then proceeded to argue.By the end of the conversation, she apologized for being emotional as she “on [her] period”.At this point, after much back and forth, we did get the store credit. I expect more from Ulta. I will be shopping at Sephora from here on out.The level customer service provided by Brandy Brown was wildly unacceptable.

AnaCecilia Lezama: I had to go pick up an order for a friend but as soon as I walked in, I started having difficulty breathing because of how thick the perfume in the air was. I was able to stick it out until I grabbed the item but had an asthma attack outside of the store afterwards. I don't know it was an off day, but there was no need for that much perfume

Dayana Rodriguez: I’ve never had an experience at a Sephora like the one I had last Saturday. I was not greeted but they were busy so I understand. When I said “Excuse Me” to an associate so I could ask where to find an item, they responded with “What’s Up.” When I asked another associate (Diana) for help on finding a new foundation, I had to do the initiating and asking questions. I had to ask for help on a shade, I had to ask about what’s good about the product, etc. All she did was lead me to a product, which was not helpful. I ended up not purchasing a new foundation because I didn’t get help on a shade or what could work best for my skin.

I came home with a new palette of colors to mix and match for unique eye looks, glowing cheeks and a hint of color for my lips. I will definitely be returning to Sephora for my makeup needs and highly recommend seeking out Pam for help.

They screwed up so about $17of my money is just gone. The gift card had been used up at the store initially so the woman threw it out for me. Few days later decided to return and get something else. Woman told me they "can't do anything", but customer service will. Called customer service, they said the store should never have sent me to them, they need to and absolutely can fix the problem. Called the store, manager said oh I'm sorry but you shouldn't have called us, we can't do anything, it's already technically been returned. So, customer service again and this time the lady is making the call to the store for me. She came back and said i have to do it in store. I said 2 diff times and 2 diff managers are refusing to do anything but say "call customer service." Maybe these "managers" need to call a higher up, do something, anything, to remedy the situation other than refuse to help. Go to any other store, these ppl don't care to do their job.

I go out, don’t even go outside of jc penny and go through my email to see all the Sephora emails I have. Btw I even have the app, but the darn thing wouldn’t let log in for some odd reason. Anyways I come back and her vibe totally changed. I show her the emails I get from Sephora and for some reason it’s like she automatically then believes me or something. Her body becomes more receptive and I can feel her allowing me to give her my full email without her saying a word, the one that I was going to give her in the first place before she told me not to use the whole @ 😐 I give her the full email and of course it works. It’s just altogether nasty, negative vibes man. It’s weird because I don’t remember them being this rude with their nonverbals. But I’ve read the other reviews and people feel what I felt. We’re just saying it differently. Also the Mexican food place at the mall is super stingy. You can literally count the rice and beans they give you. It’s not worth it at all. Woodland Mall sucks

And my friend says “I really like this..” and the worker goes “I can tell” and then struts away. We literally didn’t do anything wrong and I don’t think it sounds that bad what she did, but if you were there you’d understand how scary it was and how mean she was

First when I was sampling the eyeliner she came and yelled at all my friends for “playing” with her products. Then I was trying some coconut spray and she was standing behind me and I turned and said hi and she said hi in a strange tone and i said I really like the spray it’s really refreshing and she said I see that. This was not the first time I’ve had a problem with this lady. As I was reading other reviews they all seemed to line up to this same woman. A hint of advice for her; don’t be rude to customers if you wanna get sales.

Norma Escribano-Smith: Do not trust this location. Do not give them money unless you get your products in store. I paid $150 for products was supposed to be order and delivered to my home. It's been six months, and I'm still waiting. I have called countless times and left messages and emails.
