C B: They’ve got all the groceries you need but they’re clearly price gouging the downtown Grand Rapids community who can’t afford to travel out to Meijer, most of which are poor people of color. Everything’s cheaper at the dollar store so I’d go there first and then buy whatever else you absolutely need to at Ralph’s.

Kyla Devereaux: I’ve always been a meijer/horrocks shopper - I always thought that breaking the bank meant quality product so I justified the amount I spent my whole life. But oh my god, after visiting Ralph’s for the first time for quick trip, I am excited to go back! They had an amazing selection, a clean and stocked store, and amazing prices. The employees were so friendly and informed me that Tuesday there are buy one get one tacos and discounted bakery items (ex. Bread). I will not be shopping anywhere else!

Lindsay T: Beware of buying baby items from this store! I recently purchased some baby bottles for my newborn. When I got home and opened the box to sterilize the bottles, I was shocked to find that the bottles had been used! My guess is that the product I purchased was previously returned by another customer. Does the company not have a policy to review returns before the items are placed back on the sales floor? This experience is very disturbing, especially with something as delicate as a newborn bottle.

Heather Chalmers: Disappointed! I use this location since it is closest to my house. I work long hours and often can’t shop until later. Went in a little after 9pm tonight and the entire produce section was closed for cleaning. No one could get me anything from that area. Management and team member were not able to assist me. I was told they routinely close the produce section early for cleaning. I’m sorry but 9pm is too early to close the produce section when your store is open until midnight. I thought I would do all my other shopping first and check back - still closed. I had to go to another store to finish my grocery shopping. If this is the new normal, I won’t be shopping here.

J L: I love Meijer but the way they have these stores set up makes it difficult to find anything. This store looks like the inside of my brain; messy and unorganized. The store is clean and employees are friendly otherwise would've been 2 stars.

Emily Perez: Place used to be okay. Come here once in a while && the male cashier doesn't even make eye contact or acknowledge you. He rung up my stuff and stood there on his phone while I waited to pay. Only when noticed when the screen on his end said to swipe is when I did. He grabbed the receipt, whole still on his phone and held it out to me. I can understand now wanting small talk to what not but at least make eye contact or acknowledge the customer instead of on your phone the whole transaction. I'll stick with Burton meats.

Dallas Dingman: I have never had a Mexican ice cream before! I was completely unfamiliar with a flavor and I’m a very adventurous eater. I learned what mamey was from a quick google from the nice guy at the front. It might be my favorite ice cream, hands down. It’s like a melon and a slightly unripe mango had a baby- it is really close to melon, but has a very pleasant slightly herbal flavor that I can only compare with the pine-y quality of a mango. The texture of the park was unbelievable too. They have a lovely selection of produce and an enormous selection of staples, spices, special ingredients and ready to eat products. They also carry lots of beers. The staff is very warm and friendly but they don’t always speak English, and they are often just a handful of people who are doing their absolute best for every person who comes through. A cursory understanding of Spanish would be helpful for the frequent customer, but it’s not a deal breaker for this shop. I will be buying so much more ice cream. I love National Market

You want expired spoiled food and if you want to spend an arm and a leg on top of it, then be my guest, national supermarket two is your go to.

They sell 25lbs of sams clubs Jasmine rice for over $51 and its $18 at Sams ( i understand you need to make a profit, but that much?) Cooking oil is triple the price from Aldis & meijer prices. This goes on for many many things. Its ridiculous and sad. Plus this place always looks dirty and feels extremely crowded. I dont recommend this place to anyone.

Help your self to get what you are use to or fulfill your taste with yummy Hispanic meals…If you are graving a homie kind of food, this place is 1 of the kind for excellence! If you know you wanted to eat the right thing, you will find it there. And if you long to get rid of cravings or even your hungover.. you have choices…Lol. It’s true. So I have so many reasons to say this Supermarket is One of my favorite places to shop at…There is qualify products, in addition, the costumer service is really one of the best around. If some one doesn’t like the packaging.. shame on them.. the important thing is the quality of food .. you are not eating the box.. ridiculous.. Maybe you need to be more careful handling packages on your ride..you can find this happy environment from the moment you get in. I found my self singing and dancing all the sudden while waiting for Jacky to fill my plate with that yummy food… I better stop Cos im getting hungry again… so yes, 👍.. it’s so nice ! Diana M: We recently picked up a catering order for a party of 25 people at National Supermarket and left there livid. We were disappointed in the packaging of the food and the overall lack of professionalism. Limited addition shoes were covered in chicken sauce because the container we were given was way overfilled. After making a mess on the store floor by simply transferring the container from the counter to our cart, I asked the lady helping us if she could pour out some sauce (it was a shallow container filled almost to capacity) She recommended I just take it like that with a piece of cardboard underneath... Never once did she apologize. Instead she was bold enough to try and sell us the shoe cleaning product and states that "At least you didn't get burned." An added bonus was that now my Acura needs to be professionally detailed due to all the leaks from the poorly packaged food.
