Tim Maresch Jr: This is a great place in a good location especially if you have kids. They also have weekly rooms available. The people here are great. The main 2 that I made the most interaction with were Vicky and Shawna those 2 go above and beyond for the guests and company itself. They both not only work front desk but they also do housekeeping. Those ladies are beyond amazing. I definitely enjoyed my stay and will definitely return

Tim Martin: I stayed here with my family of 6 and was treated like family by the staff. I was genuinely surprised to see everyone so energetic seeing that I was getting in at 2 in the morning, with a load of kids and my wife. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable I almost forgot I was staying at a motel not a hotel. There was one employee that stood out though. Shawna Nevue, was going out of her way to make sure me and my family were accommodated to the best of her ability. She had amazing customer service and was just overall such a help.

Ron Key: The staff are a hoot ...but they are also strict and seem to want to keep the people they house safe and make a comfortable home or vacation spot for everyone they serve..they are doing lots to improve the place fast far as furniture look. And rewards for stay earning up to a free week or month u set the bar there..I think it's a lil on the over priced side .. especially since it's just beginning to take some big steps pillow tops...fluffy towels and pillows.nice mellow tan walls sets the mood really I dig the place ...it's a familly thing or real tight community.not judgy .respect it and ull find a home...they work hard to keep it safe..

Sheri Hahnenberg: I have been room here and I getting back after working 8 hours the office wanted to talk to so I go there and said I have to move when my rent is up because someone guest that was here banging a ball on the floor all night and I went to the office to let them know and they requested a refund because there was a confrontation with my old man who has to use a walker to get around but he was the one banging and making noise over a week or so and I would not give this place and stars at all since I have been here they did not even come clean the room I did it all myself
Jo Wolgamott: Flies kept me awake. Front desk woman was rude. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. But when checking in, there's a sign that says, No Smoking of Marijuana in the Rooms. Apparently cigarette smoking is ok in the rooms. When walking into my room, the beds were, what it appeared to be, not clean with stains on the bedding. The bedspreads looked as of they were just laid on when coming into the room. Room was filthy. No TV remote.

Lynnette Niemann: So I read the reviews before going there. I was desperate since the super 8 kept giving me dirty rooms. Finally, they canceled my reservation free of charge at super 8, and I was left with nowhere to stay. I called this place and he gave me a good rate so I went. The room was clean. Sheets were clean. Ripped and had a black magic marker stain, but clean. I didn't find any bed bugs. I haven't found any bites. It's pretty basic. I always come with my own toiletries, but they didn't have kleenex. Mini fridge and microwave were clean.The lady at the front desk was nice and polite. Made conversation with me. Told me were to park and enter. The outside looks awful. Cigarette butts covered the ground and sidewalks. I smelled pot outside, but never inside. It was nice and quiet for me. I never saw a roach like others claimed. The only weird thing was that the heat was on when I entered the room. Otherwise, I can't complain. I just needed a bathroom and a bed for a cheap price, and that's what I got. I would stay again. I like how it's inside and you don't enter the room from the outdoors.
Monica: If I could give negative stars I would’ve. The phone doesn’t have a cord you cannot dial out or front desk. They charge you a $25 refundable charge for any smoking. I look up there is no smoke detector. It looks like someone yanked it out the ceiling. Dust stuff so no cleaning, and ventilation system is filthy in room also. If you have breathing issues DO NOT come here. It’s dust even on the remote. No roll of toilet paper just the half roll on holder. Flat pillows, someone else’s hair on sheets…smh. They can do a lot better.

Casper Sweeney: Honestly, I’m never one to write a review, but this place is by far the least safe and rudest hotel I’ve ever been to. A room was needed for my partner and she witnessed loud and aggressive domestic violence in the room next door, which the staff ignored and continues to deny. A good samaritain even went to try and help the poor woman who was being loudly abused. This event was very triggering for my partner and I hastily moved her out of this hotel within hours of checking in. Do not stay here if you value your safety! The staff will ignore any and all safety and health concerns. The location is convenient, but someone needs to do something about the sheer lack of compassion and empathy amongst staff.Safety: Awful and not even a consideration.

Christopher Smith: ROACHES! Please do not book at this hotel/motel. I should’ve read the reviews before booking my stay here, but I was very ignorant. Not only are there roaches in the rooms, AND THE STAFF/OWNER KNOW ABOUT IT, they will NOT offer you a refund. Instead they say “there’s no roaches. None of our rooms have bugs” when I literally have the pictures on my phone. They offer to move me and my boyfriend to another room to which we accepted so we could have a semi-clean room to wait in while we booked our next hotel because we were not staying a single night in this place. The beds, filthy. Stains look like either someone peed the bed or sweat off 3 years worth of dirt. To cover it up? They just put a second sheet over the bed. Which was also stained and dirty. The towels… stained and have gross hair on them. The bathroom?? Gross and looks like there’s literal fungus/mold growing. But don’t worry guys… they have brand new furniture/cabinetry from Walmart that they built for the rooms. If you ever walk into a room and see the AC is on, be afraid. I’m assuming that’s how they keep the roaches hidden until it gets warm and they swarm. Just for them to say “we don’t have roaches.” Absolutely horrid. Will NEVER return. I can’t believe a staff that would argue with their customer over the fact that there’s ROACHES in their room and they want a refund. But beware, they won’t refund you unless you check out within 15 minutes of check in lol

There was smoke stains on the ceiling and the microwave was disgusting!I asked for a new pillow that wasn’t yellow and new sheets, the OWNER called me a problem for asking for this.My husband walked to the office and the OWNER told another man that he will get him a clean pillow soon.NO REFUNDS and he will push you to get your credit card information for the $20 deposit. T F (Princess TEE): Dirty and disgusting. They try to work with what they have. Like the bed was made and sheets looked clean. However the walls are very dirty, the fridge had mold in it, the walls in the bathroom had black mold. The jacuzzi was dirty from stains. The floor was slippery like it was oil on it. They also have good amenities like Tv,Microwave, and fenced in area for the pets. The customer service is great! I believe they truly are trying. The bed was pretty comfortable not springy like other matters. The door was hard to open and close yet we managed. There was a pull out bed it had stains and cigarette hole burns. Which made the stay spaciest for 3. One star because I felt completely un-At-Home. Yet the two I was staying with didn’t seem to mind any of it.

Global Trust Solutions: Health hazard- roaches in the open on every surface- toilet, tub, counters, floors have filth caked on & every corner. Who knows what's on the chairs and beds. Comforters clearly not laundered. Drains all clog immediately. The health department could collect deadly bacteria here and have this place shut-down in 5 minutes. I also got a stomach bug & flu while staying here. The parking lot is beyond dangerous at night. Their rates aren't even competitive to other hotels, don't risk getting car broken into or sick here. Also TV is on shared internet connection and too slow to even play regular TV shows. Owners could easily hire people who clean in between guests and security. Shameful to run a business this way.Walkability: I would never leave the room at night, dangerous place due to crime, drugs, etc at hotel.

Jarrod: I lived here for almost 3 months & ended up here due to a previous toxic living situation. $350 a week for a double bed out the door isn't bad at all... anywhere else will charge $400+ and you'll encounter roaches and bugs at those other motels. Forget all these negative reviews, this place is somewhere to call home and comfortable living for the time being. Thank you to the awesome mantieence man Smitty for installing a brand new AC and putting a new fridge THE SAME DAY in my place when I moved in and both quit working. Take the good with the bad in life, the staff here are amazing and kind hearted in my opinion.

Joann Lyons: The staff was very nice when we needed something they went and got they even let me check in very late bc out car broke down but when we got to the elevator the floor inside is dirty when we exited the elevator it smelled like cigarettes smoke in walking to our room the carpet in the hallway is nasty it need steamed cleaned the it need a fresh paint when we got to our room I noticed white stuff on the side of the TV stand there satiny on the lamp shade the the was something sticky under the lamp shade in the bathroom the ceiling is bad I will not come back unfortunately yes the price was good and the staff is really nice other then that u can just tell that the owner of that place doesn't care about his business and is very sad and when I looked online it showed a bigger breakfast but there wasn't
Farid Luna: I chose this hotel because of the indoor pool, but after I paid they told me the pool was closed, so I was disappointed. Later on I asked for a bottle opener and they just said they had any, it's the first hotel where I stay and cannot provided it, or even tried to help.The hallways smelled like cigar and the elevator like weed, may not be the hotel fault, but I didn't enjoyed that part.I looked into all the ice machines and any of them was working.The lunch could be a lot better, or maybe just don't have it, would not recommend it.Location is good, but I wouldn't come back
Phoebe Uttermohlen: Booked this as a Baymont, two-night stay for a girls trip with my mom. Upon arrival, we thought we were at the wrong place, no signage on the building, but two road signs: one “Baymont” and one “Days Inn.” Drove around three times, checking the address to make sure this was the place. There were sketchy characters in the parking lot, and we almost went somewhere else, but decided to go in and check it out first. The lobby was encouraging, nicely decorated. This is where you find out that it is both a Baymont AND a Days Inn, so, kind of deceptive in my opinion. Past the lobby it’s pretty horrifying. The elevators smell bad, the hallways smell worse, and I’m not even sure what the smell in the entryway to our room was. There is a divide in the hallways where it literally turns into an Baymont from a Days Inn, with different carpeting and decor, but the smell remains. Our bed was fine, so we decided to stay because we would really only be there at night anyways. The bathroom and entryway were pretty foul, lots of stains, the door handle was loose, and the sink faucet kept falling off. Showering here included touching NOTHING except the shower water. Our back window opened up to a courtyard where the pool WOULD have been, however, it’s filled in with dirt and the courtyard is covered in garbage. Saw no cleaning staff in our two day visit. If you can overlook these things, the price is great! But everything else is pretty disgusting. Would not have stayed here alone for fears of safety.

Meghal Pandya: Avoid staying at this place if you can afford a better place.We chose this hotel due to proximity to an event venue. It is a bit confusing to find this location, as the hotel carries two franchises - Day's Inn and Baymont. Once you park in hotel and approach the entrance, you are greeted by smell of marijuana, which is a harbinger of your remaining experience of staying at this hotel.We were given a room on second floor. The corridor had all kind of odours, and gets worse when the rooms are being cleaned. The room was spacious and reasonably clean. However, even with two beds, we were given only one set of towels. When we requested for same, we were asked to come downstairs and pick it up, as the hotel was short staffed. The room had TV, fridge, microwave and other usual bells and whistles - nothing exceptional. The TV carried a few channels. The mattresses and pillows are reasonably comfortable and clean.The complimentary breakfast was cereals, bagel, boiled eggs , juice, muffins and coffee. I requested a bread for toast, but they did not have one. I asked for a lid for my coffee cup, but they did not have one. The fridge in the breakfast area only had milk and boiled eggs, with one of the egg already shelled.If staying at place, avoid the room overlooking the main street, as it gets quite noisy, with people arguing or talking loudly.Nothing in the hotel seem to be working. The pool was out of commisison, so were the restrooms on the ground floor. The hotel is severely short-staffed - we requested that they make our bed, but no one bothered to show up to tidy our room.To summarise, it is better to pay more and get a better experience than to say here.

Amber Sabin: The hotel room smelled so bad, I’m not even sure what it was. They didn’t have a room available that I booked online so they upgraded us to the “king suite”. The couch had a pullout bed that was broken and halfway hanging out of it, with the pillows on the floor. There were stains on the bed and a diaper in the couch. They charge $150/night for the “King suite”, needless to say, we left that night to find another hotel room to stay in.

I thought all hotels had a decent standard of cleanliness, that is before I arrived at this hotel. Upon checking in, we went to our room. The walkways were unvacuumed and smelled of a funky odor. The white doors to the rooms might as well have been black with marks and grub. Upon entering the room, I checked for bedbugs, and none were found. However, after fiddling with the sheets, I noticed the comforter had no cover. Instead sandwiched between two flat sheets, which was already gross to me (thinking about other people's dead skin cells and how I know that hotels often don't wash their comforters after each check out). I pulled the flat sheets off the comforter to see more closely, and the comfort had yellow stains up and down it. Okay, I already knew I wanted to leave, but I continued to look around. I opened the fridge and microwave, and they were dirty... How am I going to store my food with these dirty bacteria? Dirt and hair in the corners of each fridge and microwave.The last straw was when I went to check out the bathroom. The tub had no drain plug, and pieces of the tub and wall have been removed. They were understanding and gracious when I wanted a refund. Their front desk staff is excellent. Alex and Shaquita helped me a lot. Good location to downtown, but now I know I need to research rooms better before booking. I don't know how other people stayed at this hotel. It is a vast hotel(they're running two hotels out of it) and lots of rooms to clean... I give them that, but overall I think that building needs to be demolished or renovated completely.
Hybrid Piper: The exterior was confusing and looked like an old run down hotel. I wasn't even sure I was walking into the right hotel. I smelled pot in the halls, I think it wafted up from outside a courtyard area. The room itself was fine. The bathroom was generally clean but the sink faucet handle kept falling off and the toilet seat moved all over the place. It had a very basic breakfast, I only ate cereal and drank coffee.Safety: Smelled pot in the hall. Heard screaming outside. Signs up on the doors to make sure they stayed shut.

Justin Blackwood: This is undoubtedly one of the worst hotels I have EVER had the misfortune of staying in.First of all, it was very confusing because it is two hotels in one, complete with 2 signs out front. Please note that I paid for the more expensive of the 2 hotels. I knew I was in for a wild ride when I got to the front desk to check in, and the lady flat-out ignored me, didn't even acknowledge my presence for several minutes. When she finally acknowledged me, she was incredibly rude. The entire hotel was filthy and in a state of general disrepair. Many dinged and unpainted walls, trim ripped off, and I can not emphasize enough how dirty the place was. The room was even worse. The bathroom was falling apart, the fridge was unplugged and not cold, there was no remoted for the television, the ice bucket was filthy, and had a hole in the bottom. There was no chair in the room. The tub was particularly disgusting. There was mold on the wall, and the floor of it was nasty. The complimentary breakfast was pathetic. They had no hot food at all. Apples wrapped in plastic wrap, cereal, and stale donut holes. This was a terrible experience.Rooms: It was awfuly many things were broken and it was filthy.

model T man: We got a non smoking room but it reeked of cigarettes. There was trash and ash on the floor, dirt literally everywhere, it looked like the room hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Sheets and carpet were stained, the lamp shade was broken, the paint was peeling. I could go on. The poor room needs some love. Not worth a fraction of the 100 bucks we paid. At least they had good coffee in the lobby, the AC worked well, and plenty of hot water in the jeinky outdated shower. It's also right next to a McDonald's.

However, upon arrival at nearly 10pm at night (after driving from the far side of toronto) the employee informed me that they were doing renovations and didn't have a room available. This conclusion took him more than 10 minutes to determine, whilst he starred at the screen and said nothing to me. He did not process a refund and requested that I call customer service and have them process it. This left us with trying to process a refund and find a new hotel at 10:45 at night. Next time, a cancellation email in advance would be recommended. We will not be returning.

Asha Hope: I rented a room through Wyndham online, at the Super 8 Motel in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Unfortunately, my experience there was a complete disaster. The person at the front desk was extremely rude and disrespectful, and had a very unprofessional attitude. The conversation was difficult and seemed ignorant. Despite the difficult situation, I checked into my room, only to discover that the hallway was filled with the smell of marijuana smoke. When I entered my room, I immediately noticed that the carpet was dirty and had burn holes, and the bedding had cigarette burn holes and a rip. We had rented a room with a Jacuzzi, but it wasn't working, and the tub was chipped. There were no towels or clean sheets in the room, so I had to go and get them myself.To make matters worse, the internet went out at around 6 pm, just an hour after we checked in, and the TV stopped working as well. Additionally, we were unable to sleep because the guests in the room above us were partying all night. I tried to contact the front desk, but my phone was disconnected. When I went to the front desk, there was nobody there until about 8:00 am the next morning. When the manager finally arrived at around 11:00 am, she was also extremely unprofessional, with an ignorant and ghetto attitude. When I asked her about compensating me for the terrible experience, she laughed and became belligerent, telling me that she would have to refund everyone if she refunded me.I was completely disgusted by the situation, and felt unsafe and in danger for my well-being. I highly recommend that Wyndham cuts ties with this company, as the overall experience was unacceptable.Safety: This is not safe. Sadly it's the people that work there that seemed to be the issue. The front clerk is an ignorant woman who uses her street smarts to threaten customers. I couldn't even finish my discussion at she was threatening and explosive. I felt in danger of my safety and life.

We requested another room it didn’t smell as bad as the other one but in this room the fridge was disgusting and someone’s buttcheek print was on the table next to the tv so this place definitely doesn’t properly clean the rooms. And another thing I left a pair of shoes in our first room and when I went to ask, the front desk told me they assigned the room to someone already and I’d have to check tomorrow morning. This place was dirty and unprofessional and you get what you pay for dirty rooms and not enough towels

megan nagle: This was probably one of the grossest hotel rooms I have stayed in. We walked in the front door of the lobby and was greeted by a lady who was not very friendly at all. The outside of the building was surrounded by smokers. The place was not safe at all. Our room had no remote, the phone was not plugged in, our hair dryer did not work, we had no towels until we asked multiple times for them. When we finally got some. We only received 1 towel when there were 2 of us staying in that room. There were stains all over the sheets and cigarette holes burned into the comforter. If I could give this hotel a 0, I would. My boyfriend and I left the hotel late at night after discovering a HUGE blood stain on the mattress when checking for bed bugs. When I asked for a refund, she was not friendly at all. She said she “needed to get permission to give a refund” and stated that we should have complained early. But she was not there everytime we went down for something. I am never staying here again.

Jon Howell: As the impending cloud of the AI workforce rears its ugly head in the sky, one wonders how many more human moments will be left in the service industry. If you like me you are combing the badlands for just a moment of true human connection. Well I found one at the Grand Rappids Wyndham. Lupe at the front desk puts travel woes and apprehensions at bay and was able to accommodate my ever changing itinerary. She helped me add extra days to my stay all while battling the computer into a submissive state. Even though I initially booked my stay through priceline she was able to jump through a matrix of policies and code to help me extend my trip. Even her manager wit and will was depleted, but yet with only 2 weeks of training she was able to find a resolution within the bowels of the hotel Point of Sale System. These are the moments I stay alive for. When an average employee would just say there is nothing I can do and simply rehearse some corporate Bureaucracy it's nice to know there is still people willing to care about you, and provide exemplamary services. Thanks Lupe my guest and I will not soon forget your greatness.

The ceiling has large dirty looking hole repairs, the shower curtain was falling off the wall, the walls were thin and the clientele here was questionable and our neighbors were loud, along with noisy people in the hall most of the night. Telephone did not work and was missing pieces. There were many people loitering in lobby and parking lot. We had to leave early due to severe weather and our event being canceled. Was told at checkout that a refund for the additional day would be credited to card used. No refund was ever given. Called three times to General manager and was told I would receive a callback and never did. I used to frequent Wyndham hotels but now they have been eliminated from my preferred hotels.
