Bob Hartig: Bear in mind that this is a nature preserve, not a park. If you're expecting a great picnic place, you'll be disappointed. But if you're a native plant lover and wetlands buff, you'll be delighted that a rare ecosystem like this exists so close to urbanization. It has some surprises. I remember it from way back, before the apartments went in, when the fen wrapped around the entire south and southwest shore of the lake. Pitcher plants used to grow near the creek.

Mandi Michielsen: Even this early in the year (March) there was a lot of bird activity. I could tell by all the cut brush that a lot of effort is being put into restoring this preserve. What a unique ecosystem to have in our neighborhood!

Francis Simmerer: The facility is clean, secure, and well kept-up. It is a very nice touch to have the three flat carts available near each door to help with moving items from the vehicle to the unit and back. The motion-sensing lights always come on as you walk through so you are never in the dark. Todd the manager is very friendly and quite helpful. This has been a very positive experience. Thank you!

Todd Spencer: I have dealt with several different self-storage properties over the years and I have to say, this is one of the best! With the majority of the storage units being inside the building, there is no worry about weather issues (rain/snow/humidity/etc...) damaging belongings. The building is always clean and easy to access, with carts available to move stuff in and out.I highly recommend this business!

Plus power to charge you phones if need be. Manager on duty! My mother in law had a unit (two at one point) there for six years. Highly recommended!

The Baddest Bitch: I've been with ironwood for years and my rent has gone up last year by $30 and now another $30 again and I look at the prices online and it show the unit I have is $161 I'm very upset at the fact that they don't bother to call to tell you it's going up but you have to call them and half the time there no one there to answer during the day or they call you back when they feel like it. Not only that they put new gates in which when you get it someone else can follow after you. We need the old people that use to run this place not people who just want money.

John Holm: I originally rented the unit from Ironwood Storage around 2006. Then National Storage bought them out and the price went up tremendously AND they told me I had to pay $12.00 a month for insurance. Even though they have made some entry changes, bigger isn’t always better. We are retired now and can’t afford to keep the unit anymore. So much for the little guy.
Joan G: Living overseas it was great that management was so willing to communicate by email. Also it was great to be able to pay for a year at a time and get a discount. We had no problems getting some funds returned when we needed to end our storage rental in the middle of the year.

P C: It has been said before (I found out the hard way), bring insect repellent. I went off the paved trail and it turned into a feasting fest lol. Beautiful scenery and peaceful, but the biting insects are heavy.

I also love to hear all the birds.It's a short path so I can get a 15 minute walk on when I don't have a lot of time. Or. I can go twice, or take the "extra" paths when I want to take a little longer.I love the path to the creek and walking down Paris Park when I am adding extra.
