Jeff Skinner: Had an appointment at 9:40, hit a road closure on Plainfield with a detour. Got rerouted and the GPS had me arriving 9:44. Called the office and spoke to Terri to give them a heads up, thought I was being a good patient. Terri told me I would have to reschedule because I would be late. Guess I have to find another day and time to take off work along with looking for a new eye doctor.

They all went above and beyond their job requirements to make sure I got the medication I needed for my eye. Even spending their personal time outside of work hours to help me. The doctor that did the exam was very kind and friendly, letting me know everything he was doing.I had some issues when coming to pick up my glasses, so they sent them back to the manufacturer.Kelly, the office manager, called me to apologize and was so incredibly nice. I am a stickler for customer service and I can honestly say GR Eye Care has some of the best leaders for a local business that I have seen. I don't understand why I had to wait 30 min to recieve my glasses for a literal 15 second conversation about how they feel, can you see. Just hand me the dang glasses. I don't like my time wasted. Front desk could have gotten up and grabbed them and handed them to me. Instead let's make him wait half an hour for a 15 second interaction. I'm sorry but I'll take my business somewhere else.

L Anderson: I brought my first daughter here a year ago for a visit with Dr Geneva. It went amazing. So when another one of my daughters failed a vision test, I brought her to Dr Geneva as well. The level of care and time that is spent with each person with Dr Geneva is something you just don’t find too much in the heath field any more. She was properly fitted in new glasses. When we had issues with her brand new glasses (our new puppies fault, absolutely not West Michigan Eye Care’s fault) they went above and beyond what they “had” to do to help us. I am now a patient of Dr Geneva, all my kids are, and I tell anyone who wants fantastic care to come here. 5/5 stars all the way!

Chelvana Covington: My daughter was referred here for a consultation for a low dosage of Atropine eye drops to help slow down the progression of her Myopia (nearsightedness). The staff scheduled our appointment and there was no discussion about cost. When we checked in, they took my health insurance card and documented that information in their system. The visit went great and the Doctor and assistant were both nice. This is until they tried to make me pay $70 for the visit. I asked if they ran my insurance, because my specialist copay isn’t that much. The assistant originally said the doctor processes a “cash code” because if they run insurance, I would have to pay more because of my deductible. That didn’t sound right so i asked more questions. She asked me to hold and she went to get the doctor. He came in and told me that he does cash codes and he does not run it through insurance. They also do not take any vision plans. The assistant said they don’t talk all vision plans. So we were getting inconsistent information. The doctor said that if he runs it through insurance, he has to pay his medical biller and if the health insurance carrier denies it, then he would end up billing me $70 anyway. I advised that I would still like it ran through my insurance company properly and then if they deny, I will pay what I owe. He stated that “technically” there isn’t an appropriate code for this visit. The insurance code that’s acceptable is Myopia Degeneration which he states my daughter doesn’t have yet. He said if he doesn’t feel comfortable running that code. I advised that I did not come to this visit prepared to pay $70 when I have heath insurance and vision insurance. He told me that it’s up to me what I would like to do so I told him again that I would like him to run my insurance. He then refused and said he wasn’t going to do that as it wasn’t “ethical” since he knows this isn’t Myopia Degeneration. He stated his visits are normally $135 but he only charges $70. I advised him that his staff did not discuss these costs and his cash only policy when they scheduled our visit. He then became frustrated and asked me what I wanted to pay. I told him I would pay my $30 co-pay. He said fine and walked out of the room. In the hall he told his assistant, “charge her $30 and no follow ups.” Meaning because I wouldn’t let him walk all over me and bully me into pay out of pocket, that their office would not see my daughter again. I will be monitoring my bank account and my insurance policy for any unauthorized transactions from this office. The visit was with Jeffrey J Kenyon. Patients BEWARE!!!

Kala Sperbeck: I cannot recommend this place highly enough. My 9 month old frames got a crack in the arm, causing them to fall apart. I called to see if they could be fixed and the gal working the desk (I so wish I could remember her name) said she'd look at them but the office was closing at 5 because the doctors were out and she had to work through lunch that day. I couldn't get there until a little after 5 so I told her I could come in another day. She insisted that I head over and she would wait for me. And when I got there, she fixed me up with some new frames, free of charge under their 1 year frame warranty. I'm sure many of us have worked through lunch before too and we can vouch for that fact that that is so above and beyond what she needed to do for me. I've moved across town and there are so many optometrists nearby, but I'll be coming back to this office as long as I can!

Quynh Tran: I’ve been going to a couple different RxOptical locations but the service I’ve received at this one is by far top tier! I initially had an appt at a different location down 28th but I accidentally went to this location instead. I missed that appt but they were able to fit me in after the next appt had no showed. Molly was such a great help trying to figure out the best price for getting lenses placed into my new glasses and spent a lot of time with me to make sure I was satisfied before we solidified anything. I didn’t feel rushed and didn’t feel like I was being upselled! She even called and emailed me to let me know that my glasses had come in and that if FedEx didn’t come pick it up that day, she was going to personally drop it off herself to make sure it got to me. I’m very grateful for her kindness and patience, everyone deserves a Molly!!
Karen Murphy: This was my first time with Rx Optical. I've seen it around before but never used it as my eye doctor. I wasn't sure what to expect when going in, but I was really impressed with everyone there.Brian was helpful checking me in, getting me ready for the doctor, and making sure I was all set to get some glasses. I also really enjoyed the doctor there. He explained everything while he was doing it, but in a way I understood and it made me feel like I could trust him. I left the exam room feeling like I understood what I needed and it really put me at ease.When my optician came to help, it was time to look at some glasses frames. I have some trouble finding frames I like usually, but Molly not only helped me pick some frames out that I wouldn't have considered, but ultimately we decided on a frame that fit me perfectly. She also explained the details of what I was getting (I need blue light protection because I work on a computer all day) and I really felt like I was getting what I needed. Nothing more, nothing less.Overall I really enjoyed my experience and will absolutely return to Rx Optical next time I need some glasses. Highly recommend!
Zoë Church: I have to say my mother always had anxiety going to the eye doctors because usually they’re very rude and just trying to upsell glasses. My mother isn’t old but she had cancer and has bad hearing because of it. This place was not only super kind over the phone to her but they were so patient! She kept raving over how nice they were to her and was so excited to go get her eyes done. I went with her to the appointment and was shocked over how kind, patient, and overall how amazing they were! The office coordinator Brian was super sweet he talked to her on the phone and then was the one checking her in, Dr. Thomas was super sweet and very thorough! And then Amber I have so many things to say about Amber she reminded me of a princess with the way she carried herself with grace and kindness. I just can’t get over how kind they were and I couldn’t help but tell them that and Amber said they treat every one like family… especially since they only see us once a year it’s exactly like family! So definitely would add funny to the long list of compliments I have for amber. 10/10 would recommend always coming here from now on and recommending to everyone.

Tara B. Lyons: I've been a LONG time customer off Rx Optical at different locations. I purchased new glasses last October first the first time in a few years- I was long overdue. At the time, they didn't have any sunglass frames that I liked/wanted but assured me they could put my prescription into just about anything. So over the Thanksgiving holiday, I purchased a couple sets. I finally got around to bring them in the beginning of May and they were sent out, expecting to arrive by the 28th. I got a call that there was an issue at the lab and they were delayed. Expected to arrive by June 3rd- I had high hopes they would arrive in time for me to pick up before heading across town for a concert but alas, they didn't. Days later I stopped in to pick them up before heading to FL and discovered that there was no prescription in them after all. Obviously I was frustrated that after waiting a month for these glasses, I still didn't have a prescription in them. However, I was in a hurry due to heading out of town and didn't have the opportunity to deal with it then.I called when I returned and spoke to store manager Maron about not only the issue with the sunglasses but also an issue I experienced with my new regular glasses I had just purchased the fall before. Maron went WAY above and beyond to not only remedy the sunglasses issue but help me with my regular glasses. Her level of customer service has been the best I've had in a long time- my favorite part being when I was thanking her for what she was doing to help me she said "Wait, I'm not done." 🤣 She really went out of her way to help me & I'm truly grateful. I honestly thought I'd be done with Rx Optical after my frustration with my sunglasses situation but Maron insured they'll continue to have my business. Her ability to both problem solve and make a situation right while being emphatic, warm, & friendly at the same time is exceptional! I couldn't be more thankful.
Nicole Thompson: I made a appointment to get my eyes checked. Yes, it was same day & on a Saturday. They called & said because we don’t have billers on Saturday we can’t verify you VSP it’s a self pay. Because you can run & verify on Saturdays someone actually could have called. The young lady even spoke with manager & the manager said I can pay & come get my money back Monday when the billers are back. I’m sure they are loosing money with this process. They have two appointments today that won’t be filled because they don’t know how to pick up the phone. In the climate of everyone being short staffed. It’s time to cross over train. Melissa Pearson: When I called after a patient, 3 week wait for my new glasses, Brian claimed to have already called me 2 weeks prior for informing me that my product was ready , but nothing recorded on my phone at all. When I asked if they called or emailed for a second attempt to reach me, since I had not responded to the “call” -they said no they will call again after one month! 2 weeks had gone by before I found this out. No email was used in attempts to reach me. I had been waiting and looking daily.Maron provided wonderful customer service when I came in to pick up my glasses, as she explained what was to be expected in the adjustment and use of the details of my prescription. She was very thorough in making sure they fit and that the script was correct. I appreciated her professionalism. I was decidedly not going to use Rx Optical in the future after talking with Brian, but Maron may have allowed another chance.

Marbin Agustin: Honestly I’m not one to right reviews but I have never experience worst customer service and lack of customer care. I went to this branch to get a new contact prescription because they offered great pricing and could get me in as soon as possible. Everything was going great they followed CDC guidelines. However as soon as Ms. Maron H from this branch received my glasses to get the measurements for my eyesight everything went wrong. She managed to “accidentally” break my glasses frame that I have had for less than a year. She told me they were brittle and she didn’t do anything. I looked at them after my eye exam, and they were snapped by temple tips/temple sections, where it sits on top of your ear. I asked how did this happen and she claims it happened on its own. I asked if they can do anything about it, and kept downplaying her mistake and asking me to basically deal with it my self and ask for the warranty from where I got them. Was told nothing they could do and she kept saying I didn’t do anything. After giving them back to me with what appears to be hot glue residue and clear tape to fix them, she had the audacity to ask me if I want to purchase new frames after telling her I spent $100 to get these less than a year ago. Frustrated I left because she was going in circles about not being able to help me. Definitely contacting corporate because this is just unacceptable. In the photos below you can clearly tell they were snapped, and didn't break because they were brittle. Plus where they are broken that doesn't break that easily. I ave had glasses throughout my whole life and I have never had a break in this area.

Brian Smith: One of the lenses in my glasses popped out & I was in desperate need of repair. I arrived at this location at 5:05 to find it already closed but talked with Maron Harris as she was leaving to ask for help. She was kind enough to go back in & complete my repair while I waited outside to keep safe distancing. My gratitude to Maron is enormous and I will certainly return here when I need new glasses and would highly recommend everyone to follow my lead...this place has awesome people that go above & beyond duty to help......Thx much Maron!

Yesterday I had my first appointment with Anderson Eye Care and was not disappointed! I was welcomed in the office by the front desk and provided an additional warm welcome by the person who did the initial assessment on my vision. I feel like each of these people made an effort to be warm and welcoming, something not always felt with medical office staff. When Dr. Carlson came in to see me I again felt that personal connection and professionalism. Not once did I feel like they were upselling me or like "just another patient". If you are looking for warm, personal, professional eye care, I highly recommend this office! Also, they have beautiful views of the Grand River and validated parking. Customer service can feel like a lost art. At Anderson Eye Care they are currently excelling in customer service. What a treat!

Carson Harvey: I had my first eye appointment in two years with Davich back in April 2022. I just needed a routine exam and my prescription updated a bit. The staff were kind and my appointment was pretty quick. I had my PD measured by them as well and then took my prescription home to order a new pair of glasses online.When my new glasses arrived, I gave my eyes over a week to get adjusted to them, but I still couldn't see clearly with my new prescription.Long story short, I went back to Davich more than 5 times between April 2022 and July 2022. They blamed my blurry vision on the website I got my glasses from (I've been ordering from them for 10 years without any issues), so I ordered a pair of glasses directly from Davich. The pair I got from Davich was blurry as well!I was tired of dealing with Davich, so in September 2022 I went to another eye doctor in town. I received a new prescription that varied quite a bit from what Davich prescribed me. Today, in October 2022, I finally have a new pair of glasses that I can see clearly from.If I had originally gone to a different eye doctor in April, then I would've saved myself hundreds of dollars and hours of my time trying to see clearly.

Wen: I ordered new progressive glasses which cost me $342 at Davich Vision Center. I was watching my laptop for a while with my new glasses on , my eyes were getting tired, and I felt something cover my right eye. Then I covered each of my eyes to check what’s going on with it. I realized that I couldn’t see clearly with the right lens. I went to the Davich Vision Center the next day and made an appointment for an eye exam with another doctor. But in the end the doctor didn’t give me an eye exam, he only measured my eyes and judged little bit. He also gave me these glasses for free and I ordered another frame again. But when I got the new one the same thing happened and I told the lady (She was really nice) that’s all, no more. I was really tired of it. I think if the doctor could do an actual eye exam for me, I think it would’ve be good…

Called my insurance company and they never received a bill from North view Eye Care they did however receive a bill from Advanced Eye Care for a different amount than what the bill from North view Eye Care? How can this place have two names they use and use whichever one they choose to bill from? I'm still making calls trying to figure out this mess! I WILL NEVER GO THERE EVER AGAIN! AND IVE NOT EVEN ORDERED MY GLASSES OR CONTACTS YET! I can hardly imagine the nightmare this will end up being and that's not counting what they will try to charge me for on this! Spare yourself the stress and go elsewhere!!

I scheduled an appointment and it wasn't put in the books and I was forgotten about. They did squeeze me in which I am grateful for. It's just changed since they moved.

He hasn’t worn one in school throughout the ENTIRE pandemic due to him losing oxygen and not knowing when to take it off. I’m not going to set my child on fire to keep someone else warm.
