Our waitress was amazing and she said she was new too. She was amazing so props to her! The Wisconsin Cheddar was delicious, our entrees were amazing. I highly recommend the con ve broth for the meats, so good. The chocolate was good too, we did the candy bar. I'm not a massive sweet tooth but loved it with fruit, my husband absolutely loved it.People say in past reviews there's not a lot of food but I feel like it's plenty, not to mention the experience and service provided is great in our opinion. Robert Levasseur: Went for Easter. Wanted to treat my wife and daughters. I made reservations and walk ins were seated before us. We were placed on the bar side with no one else around. When you pay that much, you expect the service to be top notch. We had poor service. I gave a 2 rather then a 1 because the food was good. But the level of service and amount of food has declined. Not worth the money. It used to be a great night out, but not anymore.

Tiffany Larson: We were down for a conference and heard great things about the restaurant. We had a larger group (7-9 people), so one of us called ahead and asked if they could accommodate us. They said yes, no problem. We walked over and I had the most bizarre interaction with the hostess. I told her the number of people, and she said unfortunately, we are not going to be able to accommodate you tonight, and walked away. I honestly just stood there for a minute because typically they ask if we want to split into separate tables, or just give a time frame on how long we’d have to wait. It was especially confusing because we had just called ahead about 15 minutes prior. Another hostess (who seemed very sweet came up) while the other one walked away and said “I don’t know, you figure it out”. They did ultimately offer a wait, but we felt so uncomfortable we decided to leave. We ended up having an amazing experience at Tupelo Honey right down the road. I honestly never write reviews, especially negative, but it was such an unpleasant experience it really had a negative impact on our group and changed the vibe for the rest of the night.

The bread it was served with wasn’t even warm or toasted. The Brussels tasted burnt. The burger and fries were decent. This place wasn’t memorable enough for me to return.

Alex Brenner: In the past couple of years I've been coming here I've thoroughly enjoyed their cocktails and most of the food (they had a white fish Reuben I didn't quite enjoy but believe they removed it from the menu). The menu is limited with some handheld staples such as a fried chicken sandwich and burger, entrees include duck confit, salmon among other fish, and a rotating/seasonal special. Truffle fries and brussel sprouts are a must! By far the best entree I ever had was a meatloaf with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts! Unfortunately this was almost two years ago and I have not seen it since. I wish they would make it a permanent menu option.

The wine selection is special and surprisingly affordable. We ordered a nice bottle of red blend from California. For an appetizer we had samosas which were delicious and vegan. I had the salmon, with fingerling potatoes and was perfectly done. Hubby had the Wagyu Steak which he described as tender and paired with root vegetables. I am anxious for an excuse to go back.

Kathie and Mike Austin: It must have been Kismet that the Reserve saved us from a "lost" reservation elsewhere and expertly managed our family gathering of 10 on Saturday night. We tried many of the appetizers and entrées, which were extremely well described and presented by the staff. Rarely have we found so many selections to be so flavorful at one meal. Our family is involved with the restaurant industry in Jackson, Ann Arbor, and Cleveland and do not hand out such praise lightly. Next time we hope to try even more from the wine selection.

Courtney Uecker: Our experience was okay. We ordered a bottle of wine, 3 piece cheese board, 2 pastas, an entree and two desserts. I poured most of the bottle of wine myself. I will say the waiter did pour it once after the initial opening and did have 4 tables one being an 8 top. The entrees (pork Ragu, seafood linguine, and duck breast) were all cold, however tasted good. We didn’t say anything because again they tasted good we just wished they were warm… not even hot. Just warm haha. Then we ordered desserts, my boyfriend was excited to have the cherry citrus sorbet. He had wanted a sorbet at a pervious restaurant and they were out. It was also his 30th birthday. Unfortunately, the citrus must have been grapefruit because all you could taste was bitterness. No cirtus, no tart or sweet cherry flavor. Just bitter. The waiter did stop by to apologize for forgetting a candle for him… which was disappointing but fine. However, my boyfriend being more outspoken than me asked for the icecream (pistachio lime) instead. I was excited that perhaps the waiter would then put the candle in there to only be disappointed once again. My boyfriend did really enjoy the icecream so I am happy for that sake. I don’t think I will be returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone due to the expectation and lack of execution.

Mel T: As season ticket holders for Broadway Grand Rapids' 2021-22 season, my partner and I have been wanting to try Reserve (one of their restaurant partners) all year. I'm glad we got a chance to try the food, but do not feel welcomed back.Our primary server greeted us with "Welcome, friends!" and was very nice, conversational, well-versed in the menu, etc. Drinks & entrees came and went without issue. When the check came, we mentioned that we wanted to redeem a 20% off offer from Broadway Grand Rapids and our server's demeanor took a complete turn (stopped smiling and referring to us as "friends," spoke few if any words to us at that point). Understandably, we had inconvenienced them by having a new check printed but the animosity we received in return felt unwarranted...

Sheryl Fredricks: The steak and blue cheese salad was outstanding. I will be back just for that.The others that I went with had the prime rib. They said it was very good. It was extra fatty this time but it is not every time.We ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf for takeout. It smelled amazing. The gravy was not our favorite but after we scraped the gravy off, it was delicious as well.
