Marcia Overmyer: I have had nothing but excellent service with this bank. From tellers, to the manager. They explain everything and advise you to a route to go that is better. There Fraud Division is fantastic! Nothing but praises for them. I have had bad experiences with other local banks that advised me on saving and screwed me royally (Huntington).
Backyard Guy: Inconvenient hours for anyone working 1st shift. No mobile deposit for long time members. No restroom for their clients. Friendly staff, though. Also, interest rate is not competitive.

Jonathan Seely: I've been a Flagstar customer and have watched them go downhill for the past 12+ years. Most recent negative experience was at this branch where a half hour before close, there were 0 tellers working (not terribly uncommon here) and two personal bankers handling both the drive thru and the lobby. One banker was involved in a long difficult situation with another customer, while the other seemed to dragging out a transaction with another with lots of small talk. I am fine for being friendly, but all I wanted was to withdraw some money from my checking, and I stood waiting from 4:21 pm to 4:45 pm before anyone assisted me. There was also a customer at the drive-thru who was clearly as frustrated as I was, as he wasn't even acknowledged by the staff. There was no reason the staff couldn't have interrupted what they were doing to find out what I (and the customer in the drive thru needed) and taken less than 5 minutes to handle our transactions before finishing up with the other customers.Anyway, I waited long enough and have gotten bad enough service over the past few years that I decided to go ahead and close both of my accounts, which the staff did without even asking why. Honestly, had I not had 30 minutes to stand and think about it, I probably would have left them open.

They removed all my prior reviews because they don't want the public to know how incompetent the lending department is, especially Greg Wirenga. He screwed up my loan so bad, this ha effected my life and he never apologized for the mistake. This along with the high fees, bad customer service and lack of compassion I am in the process of moving All of my business elsewhere. Everything cost here and they will charge tpu a fee and not notify you even if they are rifht in person. Take your money elsewhere.

johanna arellano: Honestly had this bank for years but I’m disappointed went twice at 4 they couldn’t help me open a new account, I asked to make an appointment at 4 on the first day, they said no that they would help me on the next day. I went on the next day and couldn’t help me then offered me to make me an appointment. I would have been helped if they would’ve helped me make an appointment in the first place. Poor customer service, also teller was making faces. Walked away telling her I would find a different bank and they said that was fine. That’s rude
Cheryl DeKruyter: The bankers here are not concerned about service. We entered the bank with over 20 minutes to close in order to open bank accounts for our kids. In order to do this, we all have to be there (mom plus dad plus kids) which is VERY difficult to do on work days (dad working, kids in school, etc). The banker on duty was on her computer (not helping anyone or even on the phone) but told the teller that she couldn’t help us because was busy. She didn’t even bother to come and tell us herself, to ask us what we needed, or apologize that she was working on something so important that she couldn’t help the customers in front of her. We weren’t even asking for the process to be completed today. We just wanted to sign the papers that we both want to open these accounts for our kids. We would go to another bank completely if we didn’t have all of our other accounts here. This is not the bank to come to of your looking for service from a banker on a Saturday.
RENE L.: Frankly put I will never bank with this bank. Had to fill my prescription at the pharmacy across the street. I also needed a couple rolls of quarters. I keep them in my vehicle for meter's and such. Usually I go to Huntington or Chase and never have an issue. The teller here refused to give me them stating that the bank only offers change to account holders. If I went to my bank they could surely give me some. I don't have a bank. So I left and proceeded to the Huntington Bank a mile or so away where the teller not only gave me the 2 rolls did so in a welcoming and friendly manner and wished me a great day.

She was very professional and handled herself with such poise despite working both the counter and drive-through.A HUGE kudos to her, she deserves a raise and time off. They reassured me the money would be in my account monday morning and to call if there was any problems. When I explained she couldn't do this and to get the manager, she gave it back. I'd been banking there for 3 months. I cashed my check the next day and closed the account. My husband and my sisters friend have all had bad times with this bank.

Please let me talk to a person and not a AI, because I don't know what Verbal commands Fran is looking for, and, thats where the private to consumer syntax doesnt make sense to a averate banker or consumer. POV, you just mailed a random member because your system told and urged u 2, I was okay...its just some computers...your busy waits happen...Im not okay with constantly being Hung up on by your AI fran. Give me a person. thanks..(lost 6 hours my saturday because of fran) I have Zero patience for automated AI, but i empathize with the misfortunate teller who has to put up with it....your not chase bank, Or Wells fargo, MSUFCU used to be the standard for consumer credit union approach. I get your teller has lives, your bankers have lives, I spent 15 hours trying to learn the commands your banker(nonhuman entity)(fran....leave me alone..) wanted from me at 4 in the morning....All I got was coffee from.another human. Deron Jackson: At MSU Federal Credit Union as a regular member already for the past 5 years now. I really appreciate the good customer service from Loan Officer Sarah Dupras, on September 28, 2020. To help me get my 2019 Chevy Equinox to be refinance through them at MSU Federal Credit Union for a better interest rate and lower monthly payment. The whole process took about an 1 hour and 30 minutes with Sarah, by explaining everything to me as a MSU Member. One step at a time on refinancing my 2019 Chevy Equinox with their options and agreement terms through MSU Federal Credit Union. I enjoyed the whole process experience of working with Sarah, for my new auto loan as a MSU Member.
Meshira Moore: The website says that they are open to the public, but they require a $10 alumni donation if you want to be a member, and they ran my credit report without my permission. I signed nothing and agreed to nothing for them to do that.

Before the GR branch opened I had to do many things via online and the mobile app and it was always seemless and easy to navigate. Employees are enthusiastic, kind, well trained and great at suggesting applicable options with every interaction whether it be for CDs, savings, checkings or loans. I will never put my money or trust anywhere else.

Good luck trying to get back into our accounts by getting them unlocked. Their accounts specialist by the name of Sarah Gilman did nothing to help us other than to tell us to do the same thing we have done for multiple days. She refused to manually reset our password. Tried calling the bank manager Joe Manica with no luck either. I would not recommend United Bank to anyone as a primary bank.

I do my best to keep up with taxes, manage money effectively, and take the right precautions to protect my assets. Unfortunately, as citizens we have to work with financial institutions that historically and presently are incompetent when it comes to their primary business, managing and storing people's money.United Bank is chief among incompetent financial institutions, and here is why. (1) They moved my assets from my account without permission, (2) they gave those assets to an unknown to me financial institution, (3) In trying to have my fun released to me, I was given wrong information and only emailed that the information was incorrect, and (4) When I was able to loginto there backwoods level, inception email protal, I was told that the new document that I had to fill out because I was given the wrong information could not be processed because I submitted it on the date it was due.Hmmmm, so we have United Bank, a floundering financial institution, NOT taking responsibility for their actions, they misled their client, and they use technology from the late 90's. Does this sound like an institution that will keep your assets protected? Do you really want to give your hard earned money to a pace that will so easily dissolve your assets and chuck them to another company without consent?I don't know about you, but I have seen children manage money better than United Bank. Do yourself a favor and go to any other bank besides United Bank. They will only disappoint you, and make your financial life more difficult.*My comments are based my personal experience, and are opinions. I need my card so I can pay to fill up my gas tank. I contacted United bank over the phone, which took forever, just so they could tell me they are doing updates and I can try my card at 3am. In the meantime I'm stranded at a Speedway gas station waiting until my card can function again.

Then it won’t get fixed and the loan person will basically tell you it’s your fault that the loan didn’t close properly because tellers shouldn’t be doing it. Couldn’t tell me why I owed $38 after “closing it out” either. I’m good. Closing my account.

Be very careful, I know personal information that the are sending via email. I did speak to 1 person and told him and he transferred me and I was put on hold until the message timed out. HOW CAN YOU NOT TAKE THAT SERIOUSLY! So there is a person who knows this is happening and clearly doesn't care!
