Brian Riefepeters: I've had the pleasure to be a client of Commerical Bank both on the commercial lending side (working with Chelsey F.) and business banking side (working with Sara B). My experience has been concierge where I have personal relationships with both, and I've never felt like a number or had the need to "get in line" to dial through a system. My team answers 90% of the time when I call their cell, or calls back 100% of the time very swiftly. They've got me locked as a customer!
Vishwajit Jariwala: Thank you to Chelsey Foster for loan closing arrangement at this very convenient location in downtown grand rapids, very safe secure and easy to get parking
Darren Riopelle: I wanted to share my 25 year history with Commercial Bank. A true partner in my business over the years who actually knows my vision and cares to understand our goals. 2020 was a challenge for sure but knowing that I had Chelsey Foster and the entire leadership team at Commercial Bank on my side every step of the way helped our group not only survive but actually thrive. A special thank you to Commercial Banks President Kevin Collison for establishing the high standard and excellent culture that seems to be missing in many other institutions.Darren RiopelleCEO/FounderSmile One Services
Rick DeKam: Rick DeKamCommercial Bank of Hastings, and specifically Chelsey Foster, is a total superstar in my book. Not only have they been a GREAT business partner and previously lender for one of our medical portfolio properties, but they also were the very first of our lenders to contact us (when the state virus shutdown was initially anticipated) to suggest possible work-around's for keeping our loans current with them if or when our building tenants didn't pay their rents?! In 33 years in commercial real estate, I've NEVER had a lender call me to discuss possible work-around's.And while we ultimately came up with loan repayment reductions and/or deferral plans with our other lenders, Chelsey Foster's immediate and proactive approach was both refreshing and addressed a serious issue that we were not certain how we would handle. Not only did they call us with possible solutions, but also helped us craft a plan that meet our specific needs, which they completed and implemented within a few days of the state mandated shutdown, just ahead of the loss of a significant tenant's income. I call that LEADERSHIP - they blazed a fresh trail where other lenders were still trying to figure out what to do!Then, when we started looking at the Federal Government's PPP grant/loan program with great confusion, Chelsey again stepped in and provided us with wonderful proactive direction, which resulted in securing this funding within just a couple of weeks, which was a godsend for all of our employees who never had to declare unemployment during the shutdown even though they couldn't work. Therefore, I would highly recommend these guys for your next business or commercial property loan without any qualification. They still embrace the old concept that your lender is your partner and continue to prove it time and time again.Rick DeKam, CCIMMIDWEST REALTY GROUP, LLCKalamazoo, Michigan
AJ Rush: They're a small regional bank. Of course their website's not the same as the big banks'. What they have instead is proactive customer service. With PPP my banker reached out to me. My wife's business...? Still waiting to hear anything useful from her bank.

Dany S.C: I need to transfer money abroad from online banking but it can't be helped, please
Dustin H: I also witnessed the president of the bank on Ionia street screaming profanities on the side walk at people because he didn’t like where they were parking. Very unprofessional. I would be very embarrassed if he worked for me. Won’t be doing any banking with them.
caleb case: One of your banking presidents was out front screaming profanities this morning, very unprofessional
Kevin M: The ladies at the counter are always so nice and friendly. Definitely a good place for corporate banking!

Harry Kobrak: Calder provided excellent analysis on business valuations and gave me confidence that my offers were competitive for the market and industry. This is important as sellers have a wide variety of expectations! Finding the right business is a process and Calder did a great job of providing insights as I worked my way through it. Ultimately, I was successful in acquiring a high quality company, Corporate Clean Services.
Jess Harmon: The Calder team works really hard but makes sure to have fun. Great culture.
onuoha ikoro: If I could give them a zero star I would. Never use Calder Capital to do a buy side search or to sell or buy any business. Max and Sam are liars. They will deceive you. Very dishonest people
Peter Ciaverilla: Professional firm with great understanding of the lower middle market. Really enjoyed working with Sam and Parker -- looking forward to collaborating with Calder again soon.
Linda Lamphear: "Our experience with Calder Capital was great, and Matt Baas was terrific to work with!"
Chris Spielmaker: Calder's team has great energy. They are hard-working and they care about their clients.
Todd Strain: "Max, just wanted to take a minute and personally thank you and Garrett for getting this deal over the finish line!!! Your company has been a pleasure to work with and Garrett has been a major player in getting this deal done on time and before the new year, you should be very proud of his professionalism and can-do attitude! I first remember meeting you for lunch and the conversation we had and from then on I knew Calder Cap was going to be the company to help us reach our goals of getting our company into the hands of a new owner that would continue the legacy that we have built up over the years, and with Garretts nonstop pushing on all fronts we were able to get it done, and on time!We will have no problem recommending Calder Capital to anyone looking to sell their business!
Mitch Veenstra: Calder Capital did a great job representing Rohr Gasoline Equipment to DHT Holdings. They were instrumental in finding a foot fit for a buyer, and Garrett was very easy to work with and very thorough and prompt in moving through the process. I would highly recommend Calder to anyone interested in buying or selling a business.Mitch Veenstra Rohr Gasoline Equipment
Roger Bronsink: My wife and I sold our business with the help and counsel of Calder Capital. We had never sold a business before, and working with Max and his team made it a truly positive experience. We wanted to make sure that the next owner of our business had a similar perspective of the value of our team. Calder helped us reach many prospective buyers who we would never have reached on our own. They communicated with us every step of the way. Even if you are just thinking about selling your business some time in the future, I would highly encourage a conversation with Max. We had multiple conversations with him over several years that helped us be prepared for the actual selling process.
George Williams: A relative was considering selling their business and needed some guidance regarding valuation, the process, etc. It was recommended I talk to Calder. I really appreciated the honest advice. It was clear that this firm cares about the best outcome for anyone considering selling. Thanks!
Aaron Bond: Excellent advice/guidance on business valuation and the selling process.

Y P: I would like to extend my gratitude to Mr. Ace Marasigan, Retail Center Manger at GR downtown branch, who lent an excellent hand in taking care of my mortgage account's amortization process. From beginning of the process until its wrap-up, Ace ran extra miles to accommodate my busy schedules and make sure that I am updated with all progress. His professionalism, efficiency and respect for clients is greatly appreciated! I highly recommend Ace's effective and efficient services as well as his level of professional knowledge.
negative creep: I'm in town from Philly and I needed to exchange a $100 bill for two $50 bills as late high school / college graduation gifts. I tried PNC Bank first, but they were unable to assist me because "I'm not their customer." The teller directed me to Old National Bank, which was just a few doors down. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by Ryan, who was happy to help me with my request ... even though I'm not a customer! I was so impressed with Ryan's friendliness, genuine warmth, and eagerness to assist an out-of-towner. Now THAT'S how customer service should be. Thank you, Ryan, and thank you Old National Bank!
jeff martin: The downtown Grand Rapids team has provided me with exceptional service. They greet me by name when I visit them and respond quickly to my phone calls and emails which enables me to better utilize ONB’s on line banking service (which I use a lot). I feel like it's my “local” bank.
Adam Porczynski: We opened up business accounts with Old National Bank this last summer. We were hesitant to make a switch after being with a competitor for a number of years, but the entire branch, including Barb and Ace, were able to help us through the transition. Not only did they help during the transition, but were also very helpful and easy to work with after everything was set up. Thank you for the great customer service. Keep up the great work! Look forward to many years of continued business together!
Samuel Korreck: I have been banking with Old National on Monroe for almost two years for my small restaurant and could not be happier with their services! The relationship bankers are exceptionally personable and never fail to make me feel welcome - not to mention they go out of their way to support my business!
Beverly Launiere: I use the branch on Monroe for my banking needs. I currently handle 4 accounts through Old National. They are personal and business. Ace, Barb, Ryan and Emily are great to work with. They really get to know their customers and make sure they are taken care of. I would not do my banking anywhere but the Monroe Branch. Customer service at its BEST!
Angela VanBuren: I have been a customer with Old National Bank since the transition from Founders Bank & Trust. I was worried about the changes that might happen when the transaction was taking place because I loved Founders Bank & Trust. I am glad to say that I have been 100% happy with my downtown branch. I am happy with all the banking services but most importantly I am happy that "my people" are still there. I get the best customer service from Ryan, Barb, Ace (and now Emily). Thank you OId National for recognizing how important they are.
Philipp Reinartz: This banking center always has excellent customer service and goes above and beyond to help!
doug klein: I have been a customer of Founders and now Old National for over 15 years. I was concerned that the transition to a larger bank would jeopardize the great customer service I have received historically. I am very happy with the service I am receiving with Old National. Barb O'Connor especially went out of her way to make sure that my personal transition to Old National was very smooth. I look forward to continuing my banking relationship with Old National!
Nick Davidson: We love this branch and have done our commercial business with them for as long as this branch has been in existence. The only negative thing I can say is that they need better ink pens for customers ;-) but the personalities and professionalism of the staff makes up for the ink pens.
