I have no doubt that Kori is extremely smart, kind and professional, and she is making sure that the staff reflects that as well. She also takes her work very seriously. Aaron Drost: DO NOT GO HERE! Super disappointed we stopped here. Went to cash a check, from ANOTHER CHASE ACCOUNT. They endorsed it and then said they couldn't cash it. Made the check unusable and now we have to wait until a new one arrives. For literally no reason. ALL of the 1 star reviews on here seem to add up. Extremely unprofessional doesn't even begin to describe that location. Chase is a horrible bank anyway. Never again will I go here or to any Chase location. Never had issues like this anywhere else.

Jenna Zimmerman: EXTREMELY unprofessional and disappointing!! I wish I could leave zero stars. My husband and I are currently going through Chase to buy our first home using a VA loan and every single step of the process has been horrendous. In the beginning of this process, I was contacted multiple times a day, by phone, text, and email for information needed for the loan, which I didn’t mind, at first. I cooperated and provided things as quickly as possible on behalf of my husband, an Army veteran. Each time I was contacted, I provided everything I possibly could. Over time, being contacted turned into harassment, with one call actually resulting in our loan officer, Anna Castillo-Martin (NMLS ID: 1091036) arguing with me, threatening me, and ultimately, hanging up on me. During the entirety of the time I attempted to work with Anna, she’d gossip about my realtor and lie about communication issues with her. I’m on extremely good terms with my realtor, so I knew these claims were false. According to my realtor, she was being bullied and harassed by Anna also. After having severe anxiety issues regarding the process, I stopped communicating with Anna, and requested she deal only with my husband. I attempted to report these issues to her boss, John Rop III (NMLS ID: 870071), but he refused to speak with me, claiming that since I wasn’t on the mortgage, he couldn’t speak with me regarding customer service issues. None of this was conveyed by John to me, or even to my husband who’s applying for the loan, but rather through Anna when she tried harassing him into telling her why I had called her boss. Since the start of this process, our closing date has been postponed several times. Anna claims it’s because of our lack of providing necessary information, however we were informed that some of the information in question was signed for by Chase long before these postponements. Additionally, we were given short notice for a majority of the necessary information prior to our loan being suspended, never allowing us enough time to request the information from necessary sources, let alone receive it. We FULLY expected this to be a complex process because of it being a VA loan, but we never expected to be treated so poorly by Chase. Not only are we dissatisfied with their service, but our realtor, broker, title company, and the sellers are appalled as well. I wanted to deal with these issues privately, which is why I attempted to contact John, but since I was never given the opportunity, I had no choice but to post a public review. I tried several times to report these issues directly to Chase’s customer service line, but was told each time that even though they had dealt exclusively with me for over a month, I was not authorized to report any issues because I am only on the title to the house, not the mortgage. I strongly DO NOT recommend Chase bank or this location unless you are willing to jump through hoops to accomplish anything. We are currently close to closing on this house and trying to get a response from anyone at Chase, particularly Anna or John, is like pulling teeth. They have truly made buying our first home a nightmare and I will always resent them for ruining what should have been a very happy and exciting experience for our family.
Elizabeth Kurth: This is the best branch in Grand Rapids!! They have been through a lot of change, but all for the good. They truly care about their clients! I suggest you come in and see for yourself.

She explained everything in perfect detail, and made me feel confident that they would work with me to the best of their ability to get the issue solved. She assured me if I had any further issues they were happy to help me! The staff are so nice! Highly recommend!
Arryn Smerdon: Absolutely atrocious customer service. My wife and I went there a few months back to close our accounts and credit cards since we moved to a credit union and the person who "closed" our accounts was condescending and mentioned how "if we had more money" they would be able to do more things for us. I say "closed" because we paid what we owed on our credit cards in cash yet they will not provide us written documentation that we did so and we continue to receive letters saying we owe interest payments on a card that no longer exists that they won't let us deactivate. They outright REFUSE to provide written documentation stating that we paid our card off and the card is closed yet we cannot pay it online since we no longer have an account. This means we have to keep running a perpetual vicious circle of having to go in person to pay what we supposedly owe on a card we don't have only to not be provided any sort of documentation and then receive another letter saying we didn't pay the full amount. Everyone, including management, refuses to help us settle the issue or even really acknowledge the issue. I highly recommend going to Lake Michigan Credit Union instead.
Hunter Leigh: Dametreon was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with getting us our money exchanged for our upcoming trip. We had a lot of asks and everything was taken care of efficiently and made this part of our travel plans very easy! Awesome customer service!
Barry Brown: As a small business owner in East Grand Rapids, I expected good customer service from Chase Gaslight. Unfortunately, I was continuously disappointed. First - Chase business banking policies, like very low mobile deposit limits, constant holds on checks from reputable businesses, and irritatingly frequent fraud alerts, are designed to protect their interests rather than improve the customer experience. Second - When their overdraft notification system failed, I unknowingly made 9 small transactions before being alerted to the problem. When asking for a refund of all but the first $35 overdraft fee (the first overdraft was my mistake, the rest were preventable if their system worked) they were very quick to decline citing 'policy' and 'federal regulation'. Chase cares more about their short term gains than about their long term relationships with clients. Goodbye, Chase.

LifeofKhari: Don't bother with this bank. They will let your account over draft so they can charge you 34 a piece. And you can't take care of it in the bank. You have to call and impossible call line or try your best with the website. Not the app. Website. I truly don't understand why banks seem to think doing nothing but coasting me more money is acceptable. If anyone knows of a bank that won't let it overdraft please let me know.

JoHanna Taylor: Absolute worst branch, avoid spending any time here if possible. They were apathetic and completely unhelpful in ordinary banking options. The manager was rude and showed 0 interest in even trying to help me. Let the metal detectors at the door turn you away before enduring any one of their terrible staff. I would give 0 stars if possible because banks, these institutions we choose to entrust our money and essentially lives in could care less about us as people. They get their paycheck whether they suck or not, so please I implore you GO BANK SOMEWHERE ELSE (unless you are a masochist...)

Me and my husband had recently had a face to face appointment with them and got everything set up to to check our accounts and to see they were unactive and we weren't even notified about it.They closed my father's accounts because he got in a argument at a drive through window 🙄 and banned them because he called them retards.My family had never ever had problems with any other chase Bank but moving into grand rapids and coming to this place has caused so many problems and had gotten me banned for no reason that is mine. Forget this place. The Chase in Muskegon though has always had amazing, friendly and understanding customer service.

bj s: I had so much help at this bank it is unbelievable. On more than 1 occasion, I had to file a Chase Claim after getting ripped off for an online purchase, and needed copies as evidence to file my claim. One of the banking employees was so helpful and faxed the copies I needed to Chase Claims for me, as I do not have a fax machine. It was a big job and there were many copies. They also helped me so much after my account got hacked into somehow on Amazon, to change my entire checking account. The employees at this bank especially (and other Chase branches) have done so many good deeds, always helpful, knowledgeable, courteous and polite, and with a good sense of humor. A+ all around.

Rachael Burnosky: Bank tellers at the window were beyond rude. I have worked in customer service my entire working career and if that is their idea of how to work with customers they need a review of their policies or get new ones. I understand everyone wants to get home and end their day but to consistently remind the customer that "they closed at 4" and that "I shouldn't have been helped at all" really doesn't make me want to bank with them or ever go tho their branch again. Then denying me a deposit slip because they are closed is ridiculous, I don't work in a bank but how long would it take you to print off a slip....
Lana Katsafanas: The tellers are so friendly at this location -- I typically prefer to go inside so I can say "hello" (weird, I know). However, they do have a super cool ATM-ish machine right inside, too, which I've used for check deposits and cash withdrawals. It makes it a quick visit, if you need to just get in-and-out in a hurry!

The worst I've ever seen.. after countless calls to them and hours of being on hold I informed them that my elderly father with parkensons disease was a victim of identity theft and financial exploitation of the elderly and a credit card was fraudulently opened in his name with them. I gave them the name of the person with did this along with the detectives name asigned to the case and they did not care and have been consistently harassing my father with threats of sueing him in court victimizing him all over again. I've since contacted an attorney and intend to contact my local news station.

Rhea Bloomfield: Been going to this bank for about 4 years now. Like, this particular bank at this particular location. I stop in minimum once a month, sometimes more. For 4 years straight.A couple weeks ago I lost my wallet and needed to put a hold on my card. So I stopped in. The person I spoke to said I needed my drivers license in order to do that. I told her my license was in my wallet - which was missing, hence the reason for my stopping in. She said she could put a hold on my card and issue me a new one IF anyone there recognized me. No one did. After 4 YEARS of coming to this place regularly, not a single associate recognized me or knew my name.She also said that I could see a banker - but that they were with customers and there were two other customers ahead of me waiting. So while I waited for who knows how long, someone could have been using my card and spending all my money. But whatever it's only my account and my money, right? I mean it's not like the only purpose of banks is to handle people's accounts and money.OH WAIT. It is.I'll be canceling my account and switching to another one as soon as I'm able.

Luke L Lambert: Very friendly service and my go-to Chase bank in Grand Rapids. IMPORTANT: The only way you can get through to the actual folks at this branch is if you dial the phone number, press 1 to indicate you’re a Chase customer, and then press 0#0#.
Eric Stever: My car loan was through Chase. I needed to change the auto draft for my monthly payment, which meant completing paperwork, including a canceled check for the new auto draft account. I turned everything in at this branch to be updated. 4 months later I get an overdraft notification on the previous account. This Chase branch never followed through on my request, so I incurred over $100 in overdraft charges on the old account. In this era of so called relationship banking, this relationship is sorely lacking.

David Goudswaard: Consumer BEWARE! Chase bank is the most useless bank in the banking industry. I purchased a car from someone who had a loan with Chase bank and at the local branch they can not release the loan it need to go through the corporate office. I was told that this would be faxed to the branch the next day. When I returned to get the release they said they would need to mail it. This was after I had paid 14200 to them for the car. So, I paid for a car I could not use. I exclateated it to the executive office and they were unable to help. I then filed a consumer federal protection bareau. They reached out to chase and responded with some response. I felt that my experience wit chase was unjustly handled. They withheld something I paid for over a week and a half. This experience from Chase Bank will prevent me from ever working with them again. My experience was I was lied to by the bank manager (possibly an over promise that she could not keep). I also filed a complaint on the better business bareau. To find they have a poor rating there to. My advice is BEWARE of Chase bank and anything they say.

licalicalica: This is the worst Chase branch I’ve ever been to,scheduled multiple appointments for the same issue and it never got fixed.Sonia was extremely unprofessional, she had to make a phone call for everything, what annoyed me the most was that she wasn’t even trying to help, didn’t listen to what I had to say and told me to call customer service. THANKS A LOT SONIA THAT WAS REALLY HELPFUL🙄🙄🙄clearly you need more training.To be fair the branch manager was knowledgeable and Adrianna at the front was nice, but after a few interactions with this branch, I feel like they don’t really care about their customers.

All 3 tellers came back to window saying they couldn’t do what they said they could do and had to changed transaction 3 times. They also had a computer malfunction for 10 minutes also. A simple deposit and withdraw is all I want trying to do. Been with bank 5 plus years mind you. After being very understanding with situation at hand and the procedures a manager came to window, explained situation again, and also explained she could help but not till the next day. Again I was very understanding and asked why it couldn’t be done today. She took down my contact info again. She explained the situation again and I left agreeing to receive a phone call from that manager the following day. I received no phone call the following day from anyone. When I called to inquire in last hour of business day I was treated even more rudely by representative on phone. She was short, didn’t help, and just plain rude. I left a message with very rude rep and was told I would receive a phone call the following Monday, 5 days later. Monday came and went with absolutely no phone call. This Lake Michigan Drive branch is very unknowledgeable in there own procedures. I was explained this by another branch manager. From another location. I’ve yet to receive any call from that branch. Almost 9 days later. Don’t use this branch for any banking.
Garrett Fleming: Been going to this bank since 2017. They always process my transactions reasonably quickly and answers all my questions satisfactorily. I've even been given time by the manager a couple of times to sit and talk about specific financial questions I had about using the You Invest app as well as opening a Roth IRA for retirement.
Jessica Leary: I rarely review anything. Only in cases where I hope it can help others. Don't do any investment or serious business with bank. It does not matter how much money you have. Even when you have money, they do not respect you or your preferences. I wonder how they treat people without much money. Basic things like if you request not to be called, they don't get it (I wonder why it's so difficult). They push investment products on you without really understanding what you are looking for. They are not really after helping you. They are rather looking after their own bonuses. Run like hell! Go find some place where they care about you personally.
Lion Buckeyes: Just disgusting banking practices they will restrict your account not tell you about it than they accept deposits and make you wait 5 days to have access to your money. I will be contacting the FDIC

khanh le: Claim 464820975650001Recently, I made a deposit to Chase atm. For some reason, the machine took the cash and stopped working. I never received the deposit to my bank account, so I called the number on the receipt and informed the amount of the deposit somewhere between $526 and $1,400. I was in a rush, so I did not recount. I was informed that it would take up to 2 weeks for someone to get back to me.I will receive the remaining amount after the investigators open the atm to see what is the exact amount. It has been over 2 weeks and I have not heard anything back. I need an updates.I have been a customer with chase for over 7 years now, and this is very disappointing. I hope someone could help.

Tiffany Straight: I normally dont post the negative but I am today. I have been trying to close my Moms account for a month now. She passed away in May. I have been given the run around, get this form, you need this you need that, but they never say what ALL I need while I am there. I have legal papers from the courts. I had to have the forms notarized twice. They did it the first time but the second time no because I dont have an account there. Now today after they tell me its good to go say I need her actual account number. If I had that to begin with I wouldn't have needed the rest

Zach Schwartz: Going into this chase bank, and honestly most Chase banks these days is a pretty painful and condescending experience. Anytime I walk in to perform a transaction, the first thing they do is tell me all of the things I could do to avoid coming in, using the ATM in the branch, using the ATM outside of the branch, using online banking in some type of manner. It’s like the number one goal is to not have any customers walking in to help.I am a 27-year-old man who works in IT, I have also worked at a bank, so I know all of my options and services. I go into the branch because I like the personal touch or I just find it easier to have one of the tellers help me vs pursuing another route. So maybe stop treating your customers like inconveniences and actual human beings. Thanks.

And the girl was the girl that always cashes and deposits my checks. I asked her if she knew me, she said yes. So what's the problem? I'm not asking for money I only wanted to make a deposit!

I have called daily for my auto title to be sent for 2 months. Loan paid off in December 2019. Lies, deception, vague info, no results. I wanted to sell the vehicle. Lost the sale because I can't produce the title. They claim they are expediting it. They claim they have it. We gave an address to send it over two weeks ago. Nope, not here and no tracking info. More lies. Can't say enough of how terrible this bank is. Never ever will I go there for anything once this nightmare is over.

Reason was because my renewed license hadn't come in the mail yet, and the paper stapled to my license had some number I'm unaware of that wouldn't match the same invisible number on my renewed paper license. Then it wouldn't fit in the machine they use. Then it was a Michigan only Chase bank policy.I even called corporate, and the woman I spoke to was baffled by their poor customer service and buffoonery. My words, not hers. She was very nice and quite helpful.Avoid this location. They don't want to do their jobs here.

Ron Jackson: Saturday hours and capabilities. The bank is staffed on Saturdays. However, no personal bankers were available. They tried sending me to a different location. If the people working in the branch can’t do anything, what’s the point of being open? They literally just tell you to use the ATM, and if the ATM can’t do what you need, they can’t help you. You have to come back a different day or go to a different location. Pointless.

I already knew this, and this was perfect because I wanted to talk to a actual person and open an account, so no problem there.So I went to open an additional checking account. There were two employees inside. The employee said there’s no one here who can do that for me and recommended I go to a different branch. Lol! Then why are you here, and what do you do? That’s pretty much the only reason to have an actual person staffed.As I’m sitting in the parking lot writing this review, another car rolled up, a person walked inside with some papers in his hand, and immediately walked back out, like I did. I guess the employees can’t do whatever he needed to do either.This was a complete waste of time. Don’t go to this branch. Or at least call ahead first.

Avoid this location. I don’t understand the purpose of the machine when there are staffs present at the location. The wall design is horrible and make me feel that I am just an account, not a person. Hopefully they can take it down soon and have our friendly tellers back to the counters.

Ness Armstrong: Although this location is changing its functions around I just encountered the most humbling customer service from Manager, Pete and the very kind bank associate on staff. I was not happy for the lack of notice provided as a repeat customer but found the info provided to myself was considered as inconsistent with their true capabilities. So without hesitation they both we’re remarkably polite and accommodating. I will still return to use this location on principle alone even despite its reorganization, and simply because of the standing merits the staff had exhibited. Even if it is just a walk in ATM at this point.
