Bhavani Ananthan: First time we visited this restaurant in downtown grand Rapids.. Food , ambience and service is awesome .. we tried mussels, scallops and oysters for the first time here.. The server (sorry forgot his name)guy took great care of us in explaining about all food in detail and was made as easy to order according to our taste. Paid parking across the street, but free after 6pm..Parking: Paid parking across the street, but free after 6pm..

Tia Carmichael: Leo's never disappoints! Great atmosphere, fantastic menu, fresh and delicious seafood, and well-trained, excellent servers. Leo's is a true "fine dining" experience in downtown Grand Rapids. I always love it when the server adds value to a wonderful evening -- Brook, our server last night, has a great sense of humor, timed our meal perfectly as we were visiting with our good friends and taking our time with cocktails and food. We loved everything we ordered (Calamari, Halibut, Jambalaya, and Crab Cakes). The portion sizes were just right, too. They have several cozy booths as well as many tables along the windows if you want to make a request to avoid sitting in the middle of the room. Highly recommend Leo's and advise you to make reservations in advance.

karen kostyla: Great place to celebrate or to treat yourself! Absolutely wonderful! I had the seafood pan roast - the photos posted are a true representation of the meal. It was full of a nice assortment of seafood items in a delicious & not too spicy Cajun sauce served on rice. I loved it and will have it again. The rolls were a nice addition, so many places don't serve anymore and even the melt in your mouth chocolates were a nice finishing touch to a perfect meal. Wonderful experience from our host to our waitress, I dont remember her name but she was well informed and treated like we were vip guests.Parking: Attached to the parking garage. Walk out of the elevator and steps to the restaurant. It was 4$ to park for the time we spent.

V Everett: Our first time visiting the restaurant for a graduation celebration. With service and food these days not really meeting the standards of fine dining. Bonefish grill was superb in every area of dining. The servicer was top-of-the-line. Even though the Bonefish grill restaurant is two and a half hours from us we can't wait to visit again.Kid-friendliness: Unfortunately I don't remember a service name, however she was the best!

Mary Kregel: We have gone here many times over the past years and it was always excellent every single time no matter what we ordered! Now our last couple of times, it has not been the same. 6 months ago or so we went and ordered a special that was for two people that you got an entree from just a few selections which did sound good, then you also got salad, and dessert. Our entrees both were not nearly up to their usual excellent food. The meat seemed dry and we both felt that it was like the food had been prepared ahead because this was their special to make sure they had plenty ready. Now we went again a week ago and had a reservation which is great because few places take reservations anymore. We walked in and it was so full of people waiting to get in and you could overhear that they the majority had a reservation too. We waited 50 minutes to get in with a reservation, and then the service was very slow, and the food took a long time to get to our table. Definitely not up to their past standards for food and service.
Madelyn Nitz: What a great experience! Loved the atmosphere, the staff, and the food. The Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer was to die for! Not to mention the Key Lime Cake was the perfect ending! Definitely will come back!
Mr. Kelly Covelli: Excellent seafood selections.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Tuna Sashimi Appetizer, Bang Bang Shrimp Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More
Darla Chinn: Haven't been here a a couple of years. Food was underwhelming... steak was over done and not a good flavor and my shrimp was over cooked. Friends chicken was dry. They only have one person allowed to get drinks ...and ours were nonalcoholic, so that took a long time and we got no refills.Super pricey for the quality.

The Saucy Crab: what do users think?
Lin Miller: Updated: permanently closed thank goodnessI've been dying to try this place since it opened. I love seafood. It's being a cajun place was just the icing on the cake. I miss the south and the french quarter and all the culture that goes into the lifestyle and food in the region.Tonight, we took the plunge and stopped in. The decor is beachy and bright and cheerful. I would imagine that would go better with a fish and chips place on the boardwalk in Myrtle Beach better than in Grand Rapids or a place portraying Cajun in Grand Rapids. I wasn't drawn into the Cajun/French Quarter jive that i expected. However, it was clean and tidy. That was the best and last good impression about The Saucy Crab.1. I've lived in Baton Rogue, LA and had awesome cajun food. The Saucy Crab is more like an upper crust Long John Silver's without the hushpuppies and paper hats on the cashiers. Every basket and dish is beer battered minus the 5 day old grease pit ooze. If you peeled off the dry battter, it almost passed for fish. You can get this same food in the freezer section at meijer in a box called "fish sticks". For the price, the corny paper lined plastic basket is cheap and tacky.2. This place is so culinarily ambiguous in that Cajun is spicy and sometimes lathered in ethnic and full bodied sauce. The Saucy Crab's dishes are dry and coated in deep-fried breading with no more taste than the bottom of a running shoe 3 years due to be tossed.3. Cajun implies french, southern, and lively with zest and gusto on the menu. The Saucy Crab is staffed by the farthest from Creoles than I can imagine. The service was piss-poor. We saw our server once and I couldn't understand a word he said. After paying the $60 bill for 2 breaded fish baskets and 2 shrimp/crab starters, we werushered out in total silence. The host at the front door gave us the cold shoulder without as much as a "thanks for coming" or "have a good night".I was disappointed to say the least.
Michael Miller: Food: 1/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 1/5More
Chris Kozak: Love the boil bags.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
J C: “Ooo pig sooiee” Spicy sauce was yummy & our server Crystal was so good at taking care of our table for us! She was the best! We really appreciate her good service🤗👍🏼We might go “insanely spicy” level next time since “spicy” wasn’t too spicy for us😁
Hannah Nguyen: This place has a Gnat and Fruit Fly problem. There is even a UV light plugged in right by the bar. I would assume paying well over $100 for a meal, there would be at least a few traps put out by the other tables. Our food was swarming with flies, and we even had to move tables. It was unpleasant and dirty all over the walls as well.Too bad… the food tasted decent but I would not go back.
Carey Holzman: This place has been here for years, yet I never see it have any customers. Reminds me of a chain called Angry Crab in Phoenix. When you walk in the door here, the smell of fryers in the kitchen is overwhelming. There must be really poor ventilation for a place this big to reek so heavily from the hidden kitchen in the back. The smell was soaked into my clothes and I had to walk around smelling like I just came off shift working the fryers. The staff was attentive and friendly. Prices are okay. Food arrived quickly. My fries were way over-cooked and appeared as translucent-brown, grease-soaked former-potatoes. The fried shrimp impressed me, as it was not greasy at all and the breading was well seasoned and, unlike the fries, was not over-cooked at all. There is a lack of proper crab tools. Apart from a cracker, there is no other poker, nor are the crab legs pre-cut. So you end up with a crab leg that just bends when you try to crack it and no poker to pull the meat out. I asked for scissors and they brought me some office scissors. I hope they were sterile. Either way, I used them and it helped to get the meat out from the crab legs that would not crack with the cracker (most of them.)The flavor was excellent but the lack of appropriate utensils combined with the cost and the fryer smell meant we didn't stick around. Once we had enough, we paid our bill and left and then my clothes had to go into the washing machine when we got home. The lack of staff/management not applying some extremely minor effort to ventilate the place and provide adequate utensils for the type of food they serve, combined with a little more pride in not letting over-cooked food get served to the customer suggests a "good enough' attitude is embraced. So close... so easily fixable.I'm from out of town, but visit the area annually and have no desire to return here to dine unless I hear from other reviewers these issues have been resolved.
Maralina DG: Service was wonderful although short staffed. Restaurant is a little out of date and there is a strong scent of the fryer. Seafood was good, messy and a little challenging trying to crack open some of the shells. The flavor and seasoning was well done.
Milkshaketurtle79: I don't get all of the hate in the other reviews. I got the Cajun crawfish to go and it was awesome. Tons of flavor, but not overwhelming. I don't know how the rest of the food tastes, but I know the crawfish was amazing, and the portions are great. You can get a lot for your money if you're ordering for multiple people.
JC Olson: My go to for seafood in GR. Food is always good, lots of choices for seafood and prices are good for what you order and amount.
Courtney: The food lacked any flavor, the restaurant was empty and half of it had the lights off. Our server seems unsure how to serve. The whole experience was poor to say the least. They need to do some work in all areas.
Kenneth Cyr: Just a great place to eat
Nicole Blackshire: You don't get anything for your money. You leave still hungry😪😠
Rachel Potter: Hubby and I split the Monday-Thursday Special with and add on of 1/2lb snow crab, one corn, and one potato. We got the Woo Pig Sooiee spice, medium level. I have to believe the people complaining of bland food got theirs with no spice. It was full of flavor and so delicious! We will definitely be back, but next time we won't add the crab as we ended up with more food than we could eat. Would definitely recommend if you are in the mood for a seafood boil.
Ben Vairet: Food was ok. The cleanliness of the bathroom is not. This bathroom has not been cleaned in several weeks or more. The security lights are falling apart.
kyle rottman: Delicious seafood experience
Barb Madura: The king crab will not disappoint
Irma Mrozovich: Awesome customer service, our server was on point! But it was over priced and literally I'm sure we were not served 1/2 of anything.
Lou Ann Rider: Loved it! Totally different dining experience! Your food comes out steamed in the bag so it's piping hot! You get to pick your sauce and seafoods! Lobster bibs for everyone. We'll definitely go again! Staff was excellent and definitely willing to help you with the menu
Derrick Riches: $39 for a meal, didnt get full. Friday night, only 1 other table...bathrooms are DISGUSTING! Food decent, expensive. You get a bib (nice), but a shell cracker and a plastic fork. How do you eat crab with a plastic fork? Not recommended.
Ryan Qiu: Amazing food!
Victoria Kerns: The guys were really hot, 10/10 would recommend.

We got shrimp, snow crab, scallops and potatoes corn and I got an boiled egg in boiled bag, Cajun with medium heat. The medium heat wasn't really spicy so next time we will try the hot. They had different optiona for flavoring. And different levels of heat you can or want to handle. Oooh and then we got the key lime cheesecake!! Taste very good!! Creamy delicious and had a decent lime taste!! The place is very decent on pricing. We paid for all of this for 91$ we left our server name was Jojo and he did awesome!! We left him a good tip. Real Seafood Company: what do users think?
Lawrence C.: Good was good. Server had a LOT of difficulty understanding the ingredients in some of the dishes and couldn't communicate effectively . It was stressful.Look at this text I received 30 minutes before my reservation..... "You're due at The Real Seafood Co. Grand Rapids in 30 minutes." Is this any way to welcome a customer??? "I'm due"??? How about "Looking forward to welcoming you soon" , or anything? ??
Lee Norcross: Prompt service and good food.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Sophia Sunderhaus: My family and I went here for our monthly dinner (6 people total). The service was wonderful, our waitress was friendly and provided great recommendations for drinks and food. The atmosphere was lovely, beautiful restaurant. The food was okay, however I was expecting more from a place with "seafood" in the name and the price point. My fish was advertised as "blackened" and it certainly was, almost to the point of being acrid. My husband's fish and chips were soggy. If I return, I would go with the Paella.
Tammy Campbell: We went here last Friday and had a delightful meal and fantastic experience. The restaurant has light, open and modern feel but the warm tones of wood keep it feeling cozy. Our server was Natalie. She was, engaging, knowledgeable and attentive. Our appetizers were: octopus, shrimp cocktail, oysters, crab cake (Amazing!) and she crab soup (delicious). My husband had the Ahi Tuna, which was cooked to perfection! I had the scallops and risotto. The scallops were tender and delicious. The risotto was rich but still a nice accompaniment to the scallops.Everything we ordered looked exactly like the picture on the menu and the flavors did not disappoint!

Lady Fidelity: Our waitress was so great! She was very nice, attentive and accommodating. Atmosphere was ok. Chairs are so big and the room we were in was tight so it was kind of cramped. Food was just ok. I was looking for more flavorful food, but it sufficed. Not sure I'd go back.Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Kevin Buchanan: The atmosphere was so cool it reminded me of a 1920s area train station. Our server was really good and very informative of the menu. The food on the other hand was quite bland and had no flavor to it at all. I've had fish sticks with more flavor.. maybe I'm being picky, but for a $240 bill I was expecting more..
E P: Stopped in last night for dinner and I have to say this is by far the nicest Real Seafood restaurant in the Mainstreet family. The place is visually stunning with a nice balance between modern and classic ascetics. The Chef and Manager both went above and beyond to address my wife's dietary restrictions and everything worked out great. Our server was thoughtful and kind and did everything perfect. I got the fish and chips and my wife got the Paella that was crafted especially for. Both were on point for a place of this caliber and we will be returning very soon.
E Sellaro: Very good place and Nona did a great job!
MyReviews Account: After a fantastic dinner experience last year August, we had an overall mediocre experience today. This was supposed to be a special lunch to celebrate our anniversary. It started off with the building being extremely cold. Our waitress tried to find a solution and I ended up wearing her jacket for the better part of my meal since I couldn't stop shivering. This was very kind of her and I hate having to give a bad review for most of the experience. While our beverages and appetizers arrived within a timely manner, the main dish took a long time to get to us. It turned out the meal had been sitting there all along, our waitress was just busy chatting with colleagues. After some time a different waitress noticed it and ended up bringing us our food.I also had to ask to get some bread during our main course since it was never brought to us.We both had paellas. Unfortunately, the meals were extremely salty and didn't taste very good. We have both been feeling extremely inflamed ever since. It also seemed like my portion of rice was just the leftover, since it wasn't even enough to cover my plate. If it had tasted good, I would have definitely wanted the same portion size as my husband ;)On top of that, the lobster was gooey and not enjoyable. It took a while to get the check and we left pretty disappointed. I don't think we will be back.

Mrs. Michelle Bowen: The service was superb, notably from our server Ashley B. She was very knowledgeable, hospitable and attentive! We've been to the Real Seafood in Bay City and I would say the food was better there, but the design/overall space of the GR location was more impressive than Bay City's space. Unfortunately, my grilled salmon was overcooked, my husband's crab cakes were overly salty and our friend's fish & chips were borderline burnt and therefore dry. Cocktails, appetizers and desserts were terrific...definitely craveable. I highly recommend the chocolate brandy mousse and banana pudding cheesecake (I didn't have it b/c I'm Gluten-free, but everyone at our table raved about it).
