Service was inattentive, had to haul them down after 20 min of no attention during a quiet, late lunch (only a few tables were occupied). The restaurant itself is rather small, like a take-out joint. It was very echo-ey/noisy atmosphere in the "garage-style" addition. Probably nice in the summer when they open up. Penne w/ Shrimp tasted good but pricey at $20 on a lunch menu. Sadly, the shrimp must not have been fresh as I started to feel sick to my stomach right after lunch. I do not understand the hype.

Sarah Mania: Made a reservation for 7:00pm an hour and a half beforehand without issues, and thankfully we did because the restaurant was packed for most of our meal. We had never been before so weren't familiar with the atmosphere -- I mentioned to our server that my grandpa who wears hearing aids would be joining and asked if there was a quieter table. She was honest and said not really, though she was kind enough to turn down the music, but it's half restaurant, half bar -- 20 minutes into being there, it was very loud. Just the nature of the environment, unfortunately. The Brussels sprouts were delicious and the pizza was very good, plus we were able to order vegan cheese. The biggest disappointment was that they were out of a number of beers on tap, and left with mostly IPAs, which wasn't reflected on their website menu. Marianne Guthrie: What a nice surprise. First off, where is everyone? Because they aren't here, and they should be. We went in on a Friday night and there were 4 people there when we arrived. What?! We sat at the bar for ease of service and we had an excellent female bartender. She was attentive to us, explained the menu to us, made sure our drinks were always full, etc.I went into this restaurant (1) with the expectations that I have from eating at their pizza place and (2) with the word-of-mouth recommendations on their "Calabrian" items. I couldn't resist the urge to try something of that variety. I talked my friend into splitting the Calabrian sandwich with me, along with splitting the Calabrian wings. I am so glad we went that route.The fried chicken sandwich was dipped in the Calabrian sauce, topped with pickled onions, and set on a fluffy bun. It was served with frat fries, which were sliced very thin (similar to potato chips), just thick enough to call fries, and deliciously crispy.We also ordered the Calabrian wings, which were bone-in (not usually my thing) and absolutely AMAZING. Thinking hard about it, these are probably the best wings I've ever had. The sauce was flippin delicious, the wings themselves were cooked well and tasted great. I would go back here just to get the wings again and again. I cannot wait to try something else on the menu though. Also, you still have full access to the pizza next door - the entire back of the menu is PIZZA!They had a good selection of craft draft. Their cocktail menu is good too, but costly. They are trying to compete with craft cocktail bar pricing without the same output.

Our normal fave spot closed down and Our oldest said this is our new place, my middle said she gives it a 5 start and 10/10! Legit Julie was the best... good service is hard to find! Based on their Google images and the way it was marketed, I thought there would be tables and bar seating, since they were only selling limited tickets. When we arrived, there was one singular table for at least 50 people in the restaurant. Not even a chair at the bar, and no coat check. Not sure how they expected people to eat hours devours, pizza, and drink, for four hours with their coats and no where to sit. I would have expected this at a large ballroom party venue, but not a smaller restaurant and bar like this. We left after an hour. Super let down and massive waste of my money. I would not recommend this event in the future.

Alfons Müller: The service tops the kitchenSpontaneously we decided to have a date night at Fratelli’s. Luckily we got a table in the full restaurant. Our amazing servers around Aubrie took very good care for us, and were the highlight of the evening. We ordered some cocktails and I was a little bit surprised by the milkyness of the espresso martini. Some starters were ordered, but were a little bit disappointing. Bechamel sauce for arancinis do I know more inside of them, and I think a fruity marinara would fit better to this dish. But the Arancinis were supercross and tasty, where they weren’t lying in the sauce. The Calamari were sadly quite chewy and a bigger part of the portion went back. Also I don’t see the need for single use plastic cups on this dish - sustainability can start in the small things. Both of us got Nonna's Gnocchi, and were a little bit surprised how different the both dishes looked. The crostini was very chewy and for sure not fresh, the flavor level of the gnocchi were on the low end. So the food was overall below par - which was sad, cause the service was really amazing and would have deserved better. So not the worst choice for a night out, but no big interest for us to revisit.

But needless to say I wouldn’t eat here 11/11/22 tried again this time we all ordered calamari but couldn’t eat it. Was white like it was super freezer burnt Al of them. The girl just picked at the peppers that came with it. But it was all rubber. And ordered mozzarella sticks. They were like dark brown and hollow because they were left In the fryer so long. Half the tables were full and most everyone was just ordering drinks. I say the kitchen staff just doesn’t care. If they did it would just take longer if they were unskilled or busy. I’m thinking Grand Rapids just has too many restaurants for the talent pool because this is a common problem around here. Dispute the high high prices here you get the lowest quality. The owners intent is not making it to the table consistently. They should spend some time here on the busy night and observe. They usually have too many wait staff that like to talk to their friends that come in and to each other. A place of this size probably needs half of what they put on the floor.

They used canned mushrooms on my pizza which were tasteless and rubbery. My husband's bbq chicken pizza was drenched in bbq. We ended up throwing a lot of the pizza away. The staff was really friendly. Other than that the vibe was weird because it's completely silent except for Fox news. Nathan Spratt: I've been to sister location in Ann Arbor (although 3+ years ago). Not sure if it's the location, or it's changed ownership over the years, but this was really disappointing. The Bolognese had hardly any sauce and the pasta was overcooked. The servings were much smaller, and the tiramisu was mostly whipped cream with very little coffee flavor.

They didn't have any vegan options on the menu but a few things could be tailored to be vegan. I had the broccolini and eggplant spaghetti dish. The sauce was bitter and bland and the broccolini was also very bland. Their drink selection was ok and the servers were attentive and I have no real complaints with the service. The atmosphere was ok, but not great. It was pretty dark in the restaurant and it was acceptionally cold. I have no desire to go back.Vegetarian options: They had a few vegetarian options but not really anything vegan. But you could tailor one of the dishes to be vegan.

If they were advertised as a wood fire pizza place who happens to serve decent pasta, I would not have been so disappointed. I got the Bolognese. Hardly any meat: micro amounts, and it was a bit dry. I asked for more sauce & they were happy to accommodate. Service was excellent. We were a party of 9. It was my birthday and Tiramisu is my absolute favorite dessert. There’s was a major disappointment. Disproportionately heavy on the whipped cream, no coffee flavor to the lady fingers, and chocolate sprinkles. It wasn’t bad, especially if you were looking for a whipped cream like dessert and not the classic tiramisu. Again, the food was good, service was outstanding- it just wasn’t the premier homemade pasta high-end Italian we were expecting.
