Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency: what do users think?
Dakota Gogolowski: Absolutely ridiculous that I've been denied twice for not seeking work when I've provided the number for that waiver I got from my HR department. Can't believe how hard you make it for someone who only needed 2 weeks of unemployment but you have people out here screwing the unemployment office getting that money and working under the table for people! Thanks for nothing.
Jeff “Seymnsta” Seymour: These people are fraudalent. Been waiting 2 months and i also saw a Judge who held by adjudication and approved me but the people still mark it as ineligible cuz they dont do their jobs. Period. I choose to not give no more tax dollars to these clowns!!!
BOB DAVIS: Such a dumb place to go to
Michael L.: I chose one star because that's all the lower it goes. Still waiting on benefits from 2020 that were arbitrarily and capriciously stopped along with everybody else in MI even after TWO ALJ orders that I qualify. I was already on a medical leave when the pandemic started. I recovered enough to be "able and available" but I couldn't go BACK to work because of the pandemic. So I filed from the UIA website that didn't HAVE a link for PUA; I didn't know any better of course and they exploited that mistake (that was THEIR FAULT) for weeks as I had to explain to them a dozen times even with screenshots of their website that it wasn't a regular unemployment claim. Then after that there's the issue of "work search" that they couldn't get right either. And then having to appeal for a week's payment because their website had the same date for 2 weeks in a row for certification; so I had sent them a message about that along with a screenshot of the problem. To which of course as they didn't reply but denied payment for that week because certification was "late."If you feel discriminated against in a passive-aggressive fashion with these "mistakes"... Raise your hand. You're not imagining things.
Ethan F: An hour and a half is an immensely unnecessary amount of time needed to be on hold. UIA is the most difficult agency you can possibly deal with.
Richard Meinel: You probably should not have taken thee office out of Grand Haven. There are unemployed people in Grand Haven that don't have gas money for their cars and don't have a phone to call and wait for someone to assist them.
Detroit iron: Completely and totally unprofessional takes weeks to respond and they denied my claim because I filled it late... if I could have got them on the phone it wouldn't be lat
alex dodds: 45+ minute waits and even after leaving messages and being put on the waiting list you still won't get called back or even get an agent.
Daniel Howell (JägerDan): People need to wake up and do their job‼️
Marquez Clemons: Don't asnwer the phone and they're just terrible with customers service.
william brumley: They claim I owe over 13,000 in overpaid unemployment benefits from the pandemic. Even though my business had to be shutdown
Denashia Allridge: TERRRIIBBLLLEEE PHONE SERIVICE
Bryce Allers: Rude customer service. Told me to file a protest about a claim from years ago when it had nothing to do with what I was looking to fix.
Charlz Fluker: These people don't do thier jobs make hard working Americans feel like thieves starving families over petty things waited til the day I was supposed to get paid and then send me a letter the following day saying I didn't register. With Michigan works . I Called checked the Wimam to do list thinking I was good had to registered with Miworks that day and still had to file a protest over something that makes no sense I was laid off now I'm back to work still waiting on that appeal to go through thanks for starving my family for a month
Tommie Jean: Clean but must have appointment
T Streasick: Sorry I had to give them a one. A negative number would have been more in line. Found out today my claim was denied and I never received a notice from the mail, and I didn’t know I needed to check a website. Appealing doesn’t sound promising from the previous posts.
Franchesca Crowley: Horrible people horrible customer service just horrible
Bill B: Good for nothing garbage just like the rest of the government. Slow and ineffective and a waste of tax dollars
Nicholas Garcia: Worst system ever! Unemployment hasn't even looked at any of my Protests or my Appeals. I can't even get anyone to help me with my case anymore and now they are forcing me to pay $15,358 for false claims! NO matter what I do they repeatedly keep failing to help my case or even look at my documents! Thanks to them I might have to file bankruptcy because I have a child and I can't even afford to pay off my bills on top of this false charge!!! WORST SYSTEM EVER IN EXISTENCE!!!!!
Brandon Sunderman: Michigan Unemployment is an absolute waste of ALL time, energy, and resources applied in its direction. Even with a textbook public relations Use Case such as mine, I have been unable to resolve an active issue with my claim either on the phone or online for several weeks now. I can now say from firsthand experience that trying to deal with Michigan Unemployment is more frustrating than trying to deal with the Department of Veterans Affairs. For anyone unaware, around 4 or 5 years ago, news stories started popping up around the VA. The veteran suicide hotlines were going to voicemail, and nothing was being done about it. How wild is that? Someone somewhere set up a phone number for people who wanted to be talked out of killing themselves, then just kinda quit picking up the phone? That's about the same energy coming from Michigan Unemployment, but I already worked the hours for the money that is sitting in MI Unemployment's bank account.
Jason Brunk: Can't find anything out online so I call and sit on hold for over an hour, before I selected to be called back and well they won't call you back, the guy said well it's in review, I said well its been in review for 3 weeks so I need a more clear answer. His response was sorry it in review and thats all I can say. I then asked to speak with a supervisor, he said that is not an option so I asked if he was a supervisor, he said no so I said I'd like to speak with one. Then I heard click, he hung up on me so here I sit for another hour to speak with someone again.

Shailind: Horrible service, rude people!!! They don't even offer services to the community anymore. Even if you make an appointment
amy polaski: The staff is very helpful and they have resources to help you find employment or get educated
peanutlee 33: Completely bunk, the former Leonard NE office (which was outstanding) *relocated* across town to this place. First, I absolutely hate the West Side. Secondly, the building is considerably smaller than Leonard, and most of the old familiar staff are gone, alongside the nicer commodities. Makes no sense.Found out that Leonard got sold right under the former staff's noses; the relocation was in less 30 days. Franklin gets my business from hereon.
Yung Flamez Beats: Moved To 215 Straight St. nw....
cowboy: They relocated !! They are no longer here

State of Michigan Department of Human Services: what do users think?
shelby sanders: It'd be nice if you could get ahold of somebody in and quit hanging up the phone on you.
Kendall Garcia: So let me get this straight, unless you have an eviction notice DHS won't even bother to look at the case for SER? Let alone if you even qualify because making 2,300 a month being self employed is "too much".At this point you're better off being homeless and hungry then trying to get benefits from the state. Coz unless you got kids or are a senior, they don't care about your struggle
Mike Mahone: if you call they hang the phone up on you while you’re in the que. ive been calling constantly and it says you’re first in the que or 2nd and then hangs up on their own. they disconnect you purposely . im taking a video of it right now to report it.
Cher Anna: Very inefficient. Understaffed. Waited over 40 minutes what customer service to take my call being first in line.
Dennis Faber: They do a good job on how many people they serve. Most of all they smile back 😁
upFull Exploration: These people abuse special needs children & low income families for profit
Charles Tisron: I received an email telling me I had to update my information to get EBT. the email said I could do this online. I tried several times. I could not log in, wouldn't except my password. now Now I'm locked out. Tried to start a new account. I cannot because an account already exists in my name. Was on the phone for four hours could not get through to a person. I am going down to the dhs on Franklin today. Hopefully I can talk to somebody. If I don't get this done by today, my case will be closed.
Carol Dutkiewicz: We need help for my sister-in-law. Been waiting for a medicaid waiver for 8 months.she will be dead before we get help
Auna Sue: How the heck do you contact these people? Every time they call me I am unavailable and there is no way to ever call them back.
Abby: The lady on the phone was super nice and helpful!!! Answered all my questions too!!☺️
Jonathon Carrillo: Resources for people in this city is a joke. It has become abundantly clear that this city nor its commissioners care about the people that live here at all. Not only is it impossible to get ahold of anyone at the DHS office it is also impossible to get anything done. My mother has had constant appointments that have not been kept by the department, as well as phone calls and voicemails that have not been returned, and documentation not filed or properly taken. My mom went months without any assistance even though she is physically disabled and was on the verge of homelessness. If it was not for the fact that I have been taking care of her these last few months she would be on the street starving. It is no wonder the homeless population in Grand Rapids is one of the worst in the state if not the country. It is laughable that people are getting paid to do the jobs that they are not doing. I have worked in customer service and people facing positions my whole life and never have I seen people treated as terribly as they are by this cities workers. Hopefully someone brings legal action against these atrocious injustices soon and can help restore some balance to the lower class citizens who deserve the assistance they are entitled to.
Jacki Traxler: Been trying for over a week to get ahold of my caseworker. I have called every single day. Got a letter and it Said I had a appt and had to go down to the office but I could call to do it over the phone. Can’t get ahold of anyone to schedule it and the appointment is tomorrow.
Mo Ward: Was on the phone for over 3 hrs to do an address change and get all the paperwork sent so I could get everything updated, just to have it finally ring through and be told there are system problems and to try back later, so wonderful that could not have been said before the 3 hr wait. I understand busy I do not however understand incompetence.
Ty N: Called and left a message about a week ago. Tried again today and a gentleman Jake called me back promptly and assisted me with what I needed and seemed happy to do so! Thank you sir!
Tonia Babi: These people are a joke how everything sky high nobody help with deposit or anything for families
Anonymous: Should be 0. The case workers are beyond rude and act like you're stupid & inconveniencing them IF you can actually get in touch with anyone. 👎
Steve Angus: Called several times and no one ever answers. Left messages for a return call. NO RETURN CALL AFTER 3 WEEKS OF LEAVING messages
Margo: Very helpful
Brittany Lapekes: Currently waiting approval for help with security deposit for an apartment that's income based and would get my son & I out of a toxic & abusive living environment and they come back saying I was approved but that theres a copay...so let me get this straight...some mom with 6 kids by 6 different dads can get her transportation, food and rent paid for but a single mom trying to better her life and not get beat and left black and blue by her child's father needs to pay a copay to get help to move ...
Shante Milon: CPS child protection services … Please know your rights when having a case especially when you are innocent and prove it. CPS is literally set you up for failure. If you are indicated you can LOSE everything that’s going for you and future jobs. However, seek a lawyer , do not communicate to an investigator it is NOT a requirement. Ashley and Renee Fisher has set me up for failure I’m only 25! With a newborn I can’t see.
Rebecca O'Connor: Worst service ever I’ve been trying to get ahold of my caseworker for over 2 months now I’ve emailed her I’ve called her no answer. She only gave me food stamps for one month and that’s it. I tried to call the this office and it always just beeps it won’t even ring to get me to a person to talk about it. I’m very upset nobody seems to want to help me

Robert Half Recruiters & Employment Agency: what do users think?
Gina: Called to inquire about job openings and got hung up on. How professional.
V: Very responsive, easy to talk to, and found a great fit for me quickly. Thanks Leah—I appreciate you!
Johnathon Kasul: This agency is very unprofessional. Absolutely lacking the common courtesy in returning phone calls or emails. They say they will call you back but don't and then it takes calling multiple times, leaving voice messages, and calling the manager just to get return calls. Terrible customer service on their part. I would not recommend this agency to anyone. Save yourself the headache and avoid them. Ariane Braat is the staff member I'm referring too, who doesn't call back when she says she will.
Felix Monie: Waste of time. They don't care at all
Tami Van Aller: They were okay as a temp agency but the role was very low-paying for what was needed. I only took the job because my mom had had a stroke and the job was 2 miles from home so I could look after her before work, during lunch, and after work.
Sadie Helderman: *Edited* I've been self employed for over 2 years (and a direct hire in-between) but with Covid, I went back to register, and am extremely disappointed with the experience this time around. I'm not sure how they changed their platform, but I am now in agreement with the majority of these reviews, literally any other agency is better than Robert Half in response, placement and follow up.
Chaplain Gilbert: Critical:Professionalism,Responsiveness
Heidi G: Critical:Professionalism,ResponsivenessWhy do some of these people even have jobs if they aren't going to do them? No returning of multiple emails or calls. Then escalated to some sort of "manager" who also seemingly can't be bothered. Thank goodness Robert Half out in the area I currently reside in doesn't operate as poorly. Truly disappointing.
Myesha Kirkman: Company is VERY horrible. You have to call a dozen times to even get to speak with someone. I only worked 1 job & it was a very desperate situation for Robert Half. After I went to the job 1 day I got sick from that company & couldn’t return. Johnny called me over 10 times, leaving voicemails & text messages with threats. I would NEVER attempt to work back for this temp service.
Daniel Mancio-Garcia: Highly recommend to STAY AWAY!!Don’t waste your time on sending your resume or references to JOHHNY CROSSWAIT or KAYLA GARZA because if they don’t like it then they won’t respond to your emails. Also if you try calling (which I have plenty of times) they always put you through voicemail and never respond to you again. I understand if I’m not qualified for the position and if they go with other qualified candidates but I would at least like a little feedback.I tried to give them one more try but ended getting the same thing but only this time from REMIE PLEVA. Very unprofessional place in my experience.
eaglegrad 16: They once were a great agency. Now they just send you mass emails about alleged Hot Jobs, in which you reply but get no response. Forget about calling them. You'll just get sent to voicemail, and never hear back. A HUGE waste of time.
Brenda Kamphuis: Do not go to work for this company. I worked for them for almost a year and every time I finished an assignment, it took them at least two weeks to find me a new assignment and one time, I had a six-week lapse when they didn't find me an assignment. How am I supposed to live even two weeks without a paycheck, let alone six weeks? To my knowledge, I never got a bad review from any of the assignments I went on so I don't know why they seemed to have a problem sending me on jobs. I told them this was my only source of income and that I couldn't afford to be without a paycheck, but that didn't motivate them to send me on assignments. In the beginning, I specified certain geographic areas I wanted to work in, but after a while, I changed and widened my travel area and even after that, they didn't have any more work for me. There are a lot of other temp agencies out there that I think are really looking out for the best interests of their workers and not just looking at how much money they can make off you.
Dan Wolf: DO NOT WORK WITH ROBERT HALF! They submit you without your permission and once you tell them you won't be working with them, you'll get regular calls and emails . Recruiter Kristina Smith asked if I wanted to be submitted to Edge Sweets last winter. I said no, that I know the IT director and that I wouldn't be a fit for his very junior position and that I wouldn't fit his budget. She said they wanted to submit me anyway, to which I said, "No, do not submit me. It would waste our time." Within 20 minutes of leaving Robert Half, my friend texted me a screenshot of Robert Half's email with my information and fake recommendations that they certainly wouldn't have had time to collect. Now that I told them I won't work with them, I sometimes reply to emails saying I don't want the email, and they always tell me they will remove me, to no avail. When they call, I say the same, and they say they will remove my number, but that too doesn't work. In summary: they submit you without permission, they fabricate recommendations, and they won't stop pestering you both by email and phone.
Brianna: Great company to work for! The agents work in a timely fashion to get candidates employed at a place that will be a perfect fit! This company does not force you to take jobs that they know will not work for you! I was offered an 8 week assignment that turned into a permanent position! I would recommend Robert Half to anyone!
lane darling: Johnny is really dedicated upfront & honest. A team of four, so it’s hard to situate the masses at all times.
Arlene Tilly: I called them at 2:59pm and they said criminal background and never called me back. The women I raked to at Farmers last Friday said I was hired. And here it is the second week and Office Team still it not hire me
Christy Wentzloff: I've been very happy with Office Team. They have always been very active in helping me find something and great at returning calls and emails. I appreciate their hard work!!
Ashley Patalon: I recommended a friend who was told he would be placed relatively quickly. He barely gets a call back. Has only had ONE two day assignment in a month. He has reached out to his rep many times and has only had one other offer for a one day assignment for the past month. I am actually extremely dissatisfied as I thought I was doing my friend a favor by steering him towards office team, it will be the last time I ever do. I would NOT recommend this staffing company to a friend at any point and time. Not only are there inefficiencies in communication but they said that they had the supply of assignments and obviously that was not true.
RJ SMANIA: Google needs to make 0 stars an option for douchebags like these. I gave them a call two weeks ago, and was forwarded to someone's voice mail, left a message - but I never got a call back. This past Monday I drove from Big Rapids to there place in Grand Rapids. I was dressed in business professional (sports jacket and tie) and talked to the receptionist. She was extremely short with me to the point where I felt more like an unwanted stray dog and not a valued individual. None the less, I handed her my resume which she said she was going to give to someone she thought might be able to help me. As soon as she walked into the office - I heard a couple people laugh. I don't know, maybe you need to look like Tom Cruise and have a perfect British ascent to be accepted there? I'm pretty clean cut, got pretty much all A's and B's in college - apparently not good enough. Again, was in a sports jacket and tie, but I could tell I was undesirable. I guess, the individual who was suppose to receive my resume was going to call me? Been 3 days, guess not! Anyway, don't waste your time with them, If your looking for something in the office/executive branch - go check out WilliamsCharles - Very friendly and helpful!
