Michael: I would avoid. They rented a Dodge 300 out to me. Not only did it emit the smell of burning oil my entire drive home, but it also left several large oil leaks all over my driveway... and those spots are still there weeks later. I have followed up with both corporate and local branch. Corporate has assured me multiple times that they would look into the matter and have the Lansing branch follow-up. I have sent several inquiries, and no one wants to make this situation right. Finally, Corporate has stated that if I don't hear from the Lansing branch within 5 days, assume that I won't be compensated.I'd avoid Enterprise in the future. Not only did they risk the vehicle breaking down on me (did screw the oil cap back on the car I'd assume) and the permanent oil stains their vehicle's leak, you're better off going elsewhere. I'll be letting my insurance company know what poor customer service I received at Enterprise.
Daphna Gadoth: Aaron Collins provided exceptional customer service. My insurance sent my reservation info to the wrong branch and he resolved it and made sure I was in a vehicle in time to make it to a conference. He also gave me sound advice on how to navigate communicating with my insurance agency that really paid off. When I dropped the car off, he took the time to walk me through each fee and charge. I was very happy with the level of professionalism and care I received.

When I got home and checked the statement in my email, I found that I had been charged for the full week. I think it would have been proper, and prudent for the person who took care of me on my return to have notified me that there would be NO refund at all. I took the truck back with a half tank of gas (I received it with an empty tank). If I had known that I was forfeiting 2 days of my rental agreement, I would have certainly kept the truck till the rental week ran out. I consider this to be very underhanded, and disrespectful. I have rented from Enterprise exclusively, and have always been satisfied till this occasion. I will not allow myself to be taken advantage of again by this company. I feel I have no choice but to rent from a different company from now on.

Dan Dinolfo: Had a rental confirmed by them, but when I showed up they didn't have it ready. Said to come back in 4 hours or pay $20 a day for an "upgrade". I had dropped my car off at a body shop that morning and gotten a Lyft ride to the store. My house is 20 minutes away.After I pushed back, they "found" a cheaper tiny car and said to call back in the afternoon and they will have a mid-size car I can swap it for. I called back and they basically blew me off. If I call them and ask to rent a new car with a phone number they don't have on file, they magically have the car in, but apparently, they don't want to rent the cars for "insurance" rates. Bait and switch.

Ivey Matter: The web site said to fill everything out online and then pull up with 4-ways on and it would be easy peasy! Well I did everything and they never came out! 😡. I had to go in and answer all the questions (I had filled out online). When I commented that it didn’t work as it had said it would; they just said oh yeah, people didn’t do it right. They were not exactly the politest people either! Disappointed during this Covid time.

Dorral Goforth: Buyer beware. You get less than you pay for. I purchased a vehicle for a lower price here than I would have paid elsewhere - and the vehicle looked a bit nicer. I knew that there had been some body work done - the new lens on on headlight and fresh paint around the hood and along the rocker panels were indicators. However, I didn't expect parts to fly off the first time I took the vehicle on the expressway. Then, when the battery went bad, I was stunned to discover that the battery had a "patch" of rubbery material on it that had failed! Are you kidding, patch a battery and shove it back in where it wont be noticed, rather than replace it with a new or even used one?Bottom line is that there are few "good" used car lots in town - but this is probably the worst.

Karen Rodriguez: I didn't even know that there was an Avis on Michigan Avenue, because I had just come from Enterprise.... Enterprise rental had a car on reserve for me and when I arrived there was no car. Needless to say I was very disappointed and so we google'd and found out that Avis was just down the street. After arriving the gentleman helping us was able to get us a car immediately! Now mind you it wasn't the car we hoped for, but nevertheless it was a car. Everything went fast and smooth and I am very grateful to Avis. I will use their service again.
K Washington: Once arrived at the office, I was given a car that had CLEAR damage to the front even though I had a reservation that was fully paid. Went back into the office and was told by the manager they had no other car and that she even needed a car. I was also told, being BLACK woman if I was having watermelon on for the holidays. VERY offensive. What this place needs is an overhaul of staff and training on how to deal with diversity. Clearly not every person that rents a car is in critical need of a car and to treated in such a way gives AVIS a bad name.

Ron Creager: Rented an SUV, through Avis, via a 3rd party called EconomyBookings.com. I don't think I even knew I was going through a 3rd party sight but regardless, this is an Avis booking. One of my colleagues is arriving a couple of hours early so I called Avis to add his name, so he can go get groceries, open the vacay rental, etc.This is where the problems started. Avis would not allow me to change add a name either via phone or website or the app. I tried several times and they said I had to go through Economy Bookings. Called them and they said they cannot do this without cancelling the reservation and possibly losing the SUV. Catch 22, as we need an SUV for this ski trip.Finally someone from Avis corporate says to call the local branch I am renting from. I have tried Several times, at different times (not busy times per the website) and after a lengthy wait, the call always defaults to the national call service (somewhere not in the United States).Effectively, I was not able to add another driver to this rental...seemingly the simplest possible thing to do... and will have to do so in person, creating a situation where my colleague has to sit around and wait for a couple of hours. Just unnecessary.The worst part is that I tried so many times to get a direct person from the branch on the phone and it is Impossible.Lessons, don't rent from a third party and don't expect any customer service from Avis. 3 hours of my life I will never get back!
Kara Grace: The employees at the counter are amazing! Helpful, kind, and clearly dealing with a lot. The reason I gave a one star review is because Avis does not stop bookings after they have been sold out which leads customers to believe they will for sure have a car, then get there and find out they are out of luck. This happened to me and it messed up my entire weekend. I felt terrible for the girl behind the counter. I totally understood it wasn’t her fault so there was no reason to say anything, but as I walked in someone was just finishing up yelling at her over this same issue.I think management not supporting their employee here is absolutely disgusting. There needs to be a new policy so cars aren’t oversold, and in the mean time make it more obvious that *** an online booking doesn’t actually guarantee anything *** so people leave the poor employees alone.Once again, desk staff was helpful and kind 10/10 but everything else?? 0/10

The how, what and why are a totally different subject and would not give any stars for.Your customers may sometimes need to extend a vehicle due to their employers and wanting them to stay a longer period of time. So changes may happen. You should atleast give a listen and try to work with them where all parties involved benefit, not just your company leaving a customer on the street in a different state.

Rachel Baratono: We rented a truck to drive in a MI blizzard at Christmas. The vehicle had no rear defrost, no rear windshield wiper and vibrated when driving. Definitely should not have been rented and not safe for driving in a blizzard. Spoke with Debra at the Lansing Airport who promised me a call on a specific day about a refund. She never called. I called the day after my promised call never came and left multiple messages for her. The girl who answered said she gave her my message but she never bothered to call me back. Very disappointed in the service provided by Debra and in the unsafe vehicle we rented.
Jason Blake: Charged $4 for fuel service when the car was returned completely full is the kind of policy that will keep me from renting from Avis in the future. (drove over 100 miles so filled up before returning) There are lots of rental car companies that don't do this so I'll avoid Avis next time.
Nate D: Vehicle pickup went smooth but the drop off was a weird experience! The customer in front of me waited for almost a half hour for someone to come to the service desk; I waited 10-15 minutes. The customer in front of me called corporate to see what to do since the employee was no where to be found but they were no help. I called the number for the Lansing location but no answer. Eventually, the 3 customers in line asked the rental company next door if we can just leave our keys somewhere to return our vehicles since the employee seemed to be missing. This was my first and likely last time using Avis.

When I showed up they said I needed one in my name even though the website didn't require it. Now I have to wait a week just to get a refund. My son graduates November 4th from Marine camp. Avis parking spots line next to closest to the road.Very nice and efficient staff at both locations!A pleasure to try out a new chrysler mini van with all the fancy safety features like auto braking and adaptive cruise control worked wonderfully. Excellent mpg also for a mini van.

Tangie Gary: April 15, 2023 I pulled into Toyota service at 5:50pm because my brand NEW 2023 Toyota Tacoma tire light came on. The serviceman said you have a flat and suggested I go to Discount Tire because Toyota service was closing and he had no one to help me. I didn’t have time to get to Discount tire before they closed at 6pm. As I was leaving Toyota service, they had a SUV parked blocking the exit where as I had to drive through the Lexus parking lot to leave. I parked my truck in Lexus lot and called my husband, when he arrived he started the process to change my tire meanwhile Lexus employee Brian -Manager came and offered his assistance what a nice guy/human. Brain went above and beyond to help a Toyota customer when Toyota didn’t have the decency to help a disabled woman. Five stars for Brain ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Seybion B: Customer service at the landing airport really sucks. I came in today 01/27/2023 as we’re walking in the lady at the front desk looks at me and my sister goes to the back we’re just standing there looking for a bell to ring we’re waiting probably about 10 minutes I see there’s a number to call. I called her she comes out and say you don’t have to call I seen you guys on the camera. Smh REALLY!! After that nonsense. We then try to complete our reservation and pick up the car and everything which we’ve done plenty of times before and this lady was so rude telling us that we cannot pay with my sisters card even though we’re both on the reservation it had to be my card which we’ve never had that happen before we rent to cars from them so many times, so she tells us we have to call Expedia to get it put in my sister‘s name and me as an extra driver, we call Expedia and they tell us they can’t do that so we end up having to cancel And she just walked to the back and said OK I’m done. You guys can go now With an attitude. We went straight to enterprise rented a car no problems took 15 minutes.
Tasha Spagnuolo: 11/12/22 I showed up today around 1030am for my business work car rental and The woman at budget/Avis car rental had to be one of the rudest ladies I’ve ever delt with. I believe her name may have been deb.I booked this rental a week prior and and it was paid for by corporate work card I had my ID, my debit card, and my work ID. But because I didn’t have a plane ticket out of Lansing air port she told me I couldn’t use my debit card and had to use a credit card. Even tho it was already paid for by company on company credit card and my ID didn’t match the company credit card obviously. So she rudely dismissed me and I had to go somewhere else.Also this Avis budget is my company’s preferred vendor we use ALL the time as of now you will be loosing our business. Mind you I was dropped off to airport to get rental car for work and had to Uber to another location that would actually take company credit card and my ID. She didn’t recommend anything or try to help at all! I would not recommend going here at all

m vernon: Customer service rep showed an obvious lack of enthusiasm for my business. I waited 15+ minutes to receive a rental car. No apologies. When I returned the vehicle, the same rep asked "Me" to return to the vehicle to record the mileage (at all other rental services that I have used, this is a task that the rep takes care of themselves). Disappointing.

Jeanette Cox: I usually rent from this location and have never had a problem. This time, upon arrival, the counter was unattended, so I was late getting to my event. The vehicle was dirty--especially the insect-stained windshield and then, there was no windshield washer fluid. Also, the vehicle felt and sounded loud--as if it was overdue for service.

Lenny Robinson: I scheduled a car rental for 8:00 pm and when I arrived the desk was closed. I woman who I assumed was a worker told me it was too late and I would need to come back in the morning after I had prepaid for my rental. I will not rent from them again.
Jason Causa: Worst experience ever from a car company. Reservation for vehicle pickup, get off the plane, and the counter is closed! NO ONE there to get me the vehicle! Why take a reservation if you can't have anyone there to deliver the car! Ruined entire trip as all other rentals sold out. DO NOT trust your reservation with this clown organization. Totally unreliable.

Debra Johnson: Paid for rental using Bank Debit Card. Found out when I arrived to pick up car that a CREDIT CARD was ALSO required. What if I didn't have a credit card (which at the time I did not)? I had to call my son who lived in the area to return to give them a credit card. Extremely inconvenient. Also beware of hidden rental costs

Alan Stewart: Car broke down out of state and it took over 6 hours (12:30 pm-6:30pm )to get it resolved and I was at a convenient location at a gas station next to freeway. This caused me to extend travel and need a hotel plus miss a key meeting. The issue was related to Budget's dispatch services rather than the Lansing Capital Budget office.

You might think I am crazy for doing that but meeting Tad and Dylan was well worth it! There was absolutely no pressure and I felt privileged to buy from them. Shaheen Chevy is top-notch all the way around! If you need a vehicle, take a ride to Lansing. This place will take care of you!! Thanks again to everyone at Shaheen. You guys ROCK!!!
Rayce Jacobs: Car has been there for over 3 weeks. Poor communication having to order parts after the date I was given for it being finished. Called multiple times asking for updates which took days to receive call back. Decided to take it here after Graff quoted me $400 more than Shaheen on a part, After all of this I am dissatisfied with my first visit to Shaheen. I’m making a car payment on a car I haven’t had all month 😅
