Lansing City Hall: what do users think?
Brian Ruskauff: Corrupt home inspection service, seriously a large letdown how our local government is failing, Lansing is our F'ing capital for crying out loud, how about locking up the slim lords, reclaiming that property, and redistributing to honest people? Witmer doesn't care, none of our 'major' politicians do.
Shawn Western: Very personable security guards they were well groomed, friendly, and helpful.
Charlie Chapman: Pathetic. I dove nearly an hour to visit a store, far from the central city. I know I'm a small town rube, but I didn't see ANY signs that the parking was anything but free. After finding the ticket I looked and looked, but the only sign I could find was nearly a block away. And then to top it off they charged an extra dollar for using my debit card? The whole ticket was FREE MONEY, but they had to have that one more little fee, just because they have the backing of courts to do whatever they want. You can't tell me that they'd rather go through all of the hassles it takes to deal with cash, but they have to gouge just that much deeper. CITY COUNCIL: If you're wondering why no one wants to come to town to shop anymore, you should look at yourself.
Jarvell Wilson: Recycling service is lazy multiple occasions they left the recycling bin halfway for Need to do a better Job
jeff Rogers: Nice staff older building
Alexis Stauffer: So beautiful in the chill evening air!
Steve Rogers: It's just a big tall office building
Haim Oked: בניין העיריה
Otis Florence-Butler: Was at Lansing Rehabilitation Center, 316 Capital Ave. Service was good.
Andrew Gale: It's a horrible place
Sean Keller: Dropped of our absentee ballots right at front door. Very convenient!
Donna Doxtader: They are good people
Evil Adams: New City Hall (1897)In 1894, da City Council of Lansing, Michigan authorized bondz 2 build a new City Hall on da corner of Ottawa & Capitol Avenuez. Acceptin da planz of prominent architect Edwyn A. Bowd, da Council spent $150,000 on diz new structure. Bowdz original design included chamberz 4 da Lansing City Council & officez 4 Lansingz mayor, treasurer, clerk, assessor & police department (includin a jail). In an effort 2 change da county seat from Mason 2 Lansing, da Lansing City Council also authorized dat da structure B large enough 2 accommodate da Ingham County Circuit Court, Ingham County Probate Court & officez 4 county officialz. However, da county seat waz not moved, & Bowd went on 2 design a new Ingham County Courthouse in Mason in 1902. Da cornerstone 4 da Lansing City Hall waz laid in August 1895, & da dedication waz in January 1897.A New City Hall (1959)By 1938, just 44 yearz after da City Hall waz 1st commissioned, da architectural firm of Harland Bartholomew & Associatez issued a report criticizin itz “slovenly” appearance. Da architectural firmz primary message: Build a new city hall. Da 1894 structure would B inadequate within another 20yearz. Bartholomew waz right. In 1957, Lansing built a new city hall @Michigan & Capitol. Da modern structure, designed by Lee Black & Kenneth C. Black, waz dedicated on Feb. 17, 1959. da old city hall waz bulldozed dat same year. Also@a max height of 156 feet/ 46.6meterz & wit 11 floorz da LANSING CITY HALL iz da 12th tallest buildin in Lansing.
Phssthpok: Phone rings off the hook and then cuts off.
Bill Brandon: Terrible rude.
Christine Gregory: Rude no help just nasty bunch of people who are RUDE.
Diaz Diaz: It's almost like they just sit around trying to find out how to get more money from the people. Scaming away

City of Lansing Parking Office: what do users think?
Luke Grzywacz: Outrageous fees, ridiculously short curbside parking window, over enforcement. This agency treats parking in front of your office on a work day during work hours as an outrageously expensive inconvenience at best and a way to extort funds from working people at worse. A 4 hour (or 2 hours in certain areas) parking window is unrealistic for work hours. I’m not sure if the city just hates the people who drive to work, and punishes them for doing so, or if the city government derives some pleasure from having working people leap frog their car from spot to spot to prevent a 15 dollar ticket. I don’t blame the enforcers for doing their jobs, everyone needs a living, but there is little to no leeway given. The city needs to fundamentally reevaluate parking time and fees near businesses because the current system is completely unacceptable.
Andrew Durkin: Cowards are out in a disadvantaged neighborhood giving my neighbors tickets if their bumper is barely on the sidewalk at 645pm on a Friday, but dont have the guts to man the phones at that hour. Criminal organization, and by working there you have no soul. I'll be at the next city council meeting to voice my disapproval with you clowns. Have a horrible weekend.
Josh Stinson: These people are absolute crooks. Ticket gremlins will hand out citations for the most ridiculous situations. They get off on the little power they have, your better off walking miles then parking in Lansing. Don't even think about appealing your citation either. They just immediately deny and give no evidence to back it up.
Ross Coyne: Employees feed off of the little authority they have. Power hungry individuals waiting for meters to expire to issue tickets at the smallest infraction. Gotten tickets numerous times despite having paid. Better off just waiting at my car to show them my receipt when they do their daily sweep. Lansing is already a ghost down and this does nothing but drive people away from the city. I’ve attempted to communicate with the employees and have received nothing but negative responses. I ask questions and present information yet all they do is deflect in a “not my problem” attitude. I swear these people work off of commission the way they fiend and itch to issue tickets.
Nails En Casa: Nothing but a bunch of crooks working here. Heartless, racist, money hungry crooks.
mandi gilpatrick (legallybrunette88): City of Lansing parking is a joke. The meter maids will sit and wait for your meter to expire, even if you're walking to put more money in. And GOD FORBID if you're trying to get the change together from in your car, they'll still ticket you. There is absolutely nothing downtown worth parking for, other than your job if you have to. The Lansing parking nazis need something better to do.
Andrea Grove: Got a ticket parked in my own driveway. I've been parking in the same spot for 3 years and never had an issue. At 6:30p.m. on a Wednesday night, I got a ticket for parking in my driveway and covering part of the sidewalk, the same sidewalk the city has had marked to "trim" rather than repair, but still has not completed. I appealed the ticket and was denied, of course.
Joshua E Cole: Parked right near where I had to unload my fiancé’s stuff for a couple minutes and came right to a ticket, they also had the completely wrong vehicle information. I know for a fact that they rushed the ticket and just put the easiest vehicle make to quickly put a ticket on. I’ve also heard the lady working today is the worst and just tried her hardest to get everyone. You want people downtown but want them to pay for a coupe minutes to unload. I hate coming downtown.
Israel Trevino: Would give less than one star if I could. What a sad bunch. I received a ticket with no warning for parking "improperly" in front of my mother's house, with no prior knowledge. Neighbors have never complained. Appeal was denied. A "safety issue". Wow, what a great organization. Hopefully things change but I doubt it. What a waste of time.
Dustin Flaska: We were at the Lansing center for a trade show. The machine wasn't working correctly. One of the city employees, Tim Boyle, (I asked his name), stopped his car, walked over to us in 7 degree weather, and helped us out. He was clearly finished with his day, car running, and ready to go home. I appreciate the guy going way above and beyond to help a complete stranger. He was happy, courteous, helpful, and the city is lucky to have someone with such a great attitude and demeanor.
Wes Waters: Came to my house and gave me tickets instead of warning for a trailer and car parked right next to my driveway. They gave the business and house nearby warnings, but as a new house renter in Lansing they couldn't give me a warning, but had no problem invading my space going behind my vehicles and sneaking around.
samar gul shafaq: I went downtown and payed in pay station for parking but I got ticket .When I called and talk with them and sent a picture of ticket and recipe .they told me yes you payed for parking but you have to pay the ticket yoo.😡😡😡😡😡very poor and bad service...
BabyFark McGeeZax: Went to Jalapeños to pick up a order, and they gave me a ticket for Pick up, these people are a joke, never ever going to shop in Downtown lansing again.
Spark710: Similar bad experience to the comment below me. We called the parking office during the stay-at-home order and we were informed by the office that they would not be enforcing the meters. A few weeks later I received two tickets during the stay-at-home order/pandemic! On top of that they refuse to appeal the tickets and basically said a news article said they were about to start issuing tickets again.
Amarah Tiller: They issued me expired meter parking tickets during the stay-at-home order. How do you expect the residents who live downtown to not only feed the parking meters every 2 hours but also move parking zones every 2 hours?
Arnold Lewis: Don't do there job

East Lansing Parking Department: what do users think?
Michael Super: They’re here to take money from students and pay themselves. Don’t accommodate for appartements that don’t have enough parking by only allowing some apartment buildings to have more then 20 overnight parking permits. Also they’ll give wrong information out and claim they did not and cause you to receive tickets they they won’t clear for their wrong information given out.
Colton Goodman: shoutout to PACE for the ticket

Lottery Bureau: what do users think?
Rick Kellogg: So went to dinner last night at Amore's in Chesterfield, Michigan. Decided to play Keno from their machine, Put $10 in selected 5 Draws at $2 each for 5 games. Forgot all about it and after having dinner remembered to scan ticket before leaving. Screen displayed " Player must visit lottery claim center to file a claim with the original ticket, their valid government Picture ID, and Social Security Card" We had won $820. The manager gave me the number for the Sterling Hts Claim Center and I called this morning to set up an appointment, they do not take walk ins due to the Pandemic. I was shocked when the lady said first available appointment was on Monday November 30th at 8:15AM, 18 days out? I took the appointment what else can one do. Decided to try two other offices, Detroit New Center, and Livonia. Guess What? Same story, first available appointment is November 30th. How is that even possible at 3 different claim centers? Convinced that they just make everyone wait regardless of their work load, Typical Bureaucratic Government BS. Yes I will wait as they hold the cards, but kind of takes the shimmer off wining when they put you on hold for 18 days. I am sick and tired of this Freaking Pandemic being the excuse for Sub-Par Customer Service everywhere and especially in Government.
pat izzo: If you win this is where you go!
