City of Lansing Building Safety: what do users think?
Jonathon Snyder: Top notch. The Building Safety Office certifies safe occupancy of buildings in compliance with State regulated building, electrical, fire, mechanical and plumbing codes.
Dolly Chamberlin: I think it's not a busy signal, to me, it sounds like an 'out of order' buzz.
bethany Sherman: Called the phone number listed 10 times in one day and phone rang busy all day. Not even a recording. Very disappointing! All we pay in taxes and no one can answer the phone.

MSU Police: what do users think?
Marko Bogojevski: Terrible parking rules
Elise H: Such a great department!
Jacob Levack: Poor parking accommodations for off-campus students despite the fact that they force juniors and seniors to live off-campus. Counter-intuitive and an extra pain they wish to create for students.
Samuel Duckworth: MSU parking is an absolute waste of resources and filled with greed. Atrocious pricing for all of the parking passes. $100 dollars for a pass to the commuter lot which is 2 MILES away from campus not even remotely close to anything. They have given me tickets for parking in lots that were supposed to be free and had no remorse when I try to appeal the ticket. (this was in the middle of the summer where the lots were empty anyways.) They make millions in ticketing revenue every year and actively lobby against things like bike and pedestrian infrastructure as that would cut into their profits. They are the reason MSU is a car and parking lot infested campus and love to screw over students.
Forkan Saroar: Worst service ever, couldn’t reach them , because they are always busy on on phone, went to the office to buy permit, in person permit is closed, So I have to buy pay by plate even if I am trying and eventually will buy the parking permit for the semester. very unprofessional. weather enroll more employees or make the parking free.
Jason Bialke: Maybe dont give out tickets to people who are legally parked....
Bridget Saroli: I wish I could give them a zero.
Darnell Savage: The worst parking service of all time.
Carson Broeker (CarBroke): Both for the police and the parking office. This is the only place I've ever been pulled over, and they opened with asking me if my car was stolen since I'm from out of state. Not a good introduction.MSU's campus is littered with tons of surface parking lots that make the campus look ugly, but at least they provide plenty of parking for everyone, outside of football game days. Especially during the summer, there's always available parking everywhere. Despite this, MSU hands out parking tickets like they're desperately trying to make everyone stop using the infrastructure they built for staff and students. Graduate student's are supposed to have the option to buy a graduate assistant pass online, but there was none available for summer 2022. Half of the cars in the parking lot had tickets because MSU messed up somewhere and wouldn't let us buy parking passes. MSU parking has a nice racketeering setup going on.
Fred: Absolute waste of not just campus resources and tuition funds, but also of energy and oxygen.
Eric Xie: Charges whenever they get a chance despite already paying $30,000 a year in tuition + fees. I've gotten $800 plus in tickets (this school year), I got multiple tickets NOT in the "ticket time" range. When I go to appeal it, some lousy person finds some lame excuse that's not on the signs, makes up some new rule and never appeals it.
Jake Roman: Phenomenal department. Dedicated officers and civilian staff, and great place to work for those students who are interested in a career as a public servant. Flexible schedules, decent pay and a great work environment. The parking system is not perfect, and fines could perhaps be lower, but with an ever-growing student population and a finite number of parking areas (and space) on main campus, ordinances and enforcement are necessary.
Denton Lo: They know what they're doing with parking and the staff barely know what they are doing, emails they send are vague and write a ticket on any chance they can get, is pathetic and almost defacing on a campus that is held in a high manner of prestige, maybe open a small lot for free parking
Taylor Martinez: The staff that answers the phone is insanely disrespectful. $25 for a parking ticket when there haven’t been ANY open spots for weeks now is absolutely unreal.
Colin B: Don’t park on campus, it’s all employee lots and you’ll get a ticket for trying to go to class that you pay for.
Sean O'Connor: I’m sure my car in a parking lot with 40 open spots deserves that ticket for sitting there an hour while I’m in class. 20000$ a year and u still can’t let people park on campus. You really make a difference in the world 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Patrick Gordon: Most dedicated officers, and the parking office and enforcers are really looking out for the campus, and seems to me that those Criminal Justice Students working in the PD will make great officers one day!
Jonathan Amos: 0 stars for the worst parking infrastructure, services, and ticketing I have ever experienced. MSU takes advantage of its students to raise revenue via parking tickets.
Amber Y: They need is your money, they don’t care their students.
Justin Hannemann: Parked out side a dorm to drop my sister off after coming from home, got out to help carry in a bag and got a ticket, why should I pay for a half an hour when I’ll be there 10 minutes, appealed it and got denied then had to pay a late fee because they took too long to confirm the appeal. MSU parking is the worst office on campus
Shen Yan: No matter how cautious you are driving they will still find chance to ticket you.

East Lansing Police Department: what do users think?
Lydia: 🐷🐷🐷🐷🐽🐽🐽🐽🐖
Catherine Y.: Please terminate officer Michelle Hood's employment there.
Christy Pitzer: Arresting a DV victim???? REALLY???This is going to be spread everywhere!!! Michelle Hood needs to be gone and any others like her that you employ!!!! And we're supposed to have trust in you guys!!!! What a disgrace!!!
Kylie Graves: Michelle Hood is very unprofessional and is disgusting she represents you as a town. She needs to be reevaluated as a police officer.
Fishman30: Rude and unprofessional
Сергей Лусигнан: Ordinary traffic stop ain't nothing big, don't know why you all are freaking out.
Daniel Sapp: 5 stars when it comes to monopolizing force to rob people in the name of the tyrannical revenue stream that is traffic and parking enforcement. ACAB
Oni Sullivan: Rude over the phone when I was trying to file a police report. Super dismissive.
Kishore Raj: The team is very understanding and very supportive when I had a family situation. They helped very swiftly. I feel much safer when we see such a team. Especially officer Chad Pride.
L. SEYDI: Most citizens really have to comprehend the laws. Police can not stop you without presenting a reason, than make up one. My daughter was stop for no reason. However the two cops said her insurance was expired, which was false. Plan to take further actions.
Matt: Will make up just about anything to cover up their mistakes and make a profit. Where has the trust in law enforcement gone?
NR W: A very committed community focus team of officers who care deeply about each of East Lansing's residents. These are very professional and personal officers who can be approached with ease. Also, each member is very knowledgeable and respectful.
khalil ibrahim: Yes, ELPD can be rather strict when it comes to traffic enforcement, but follow the rules of the road...right? As far as emergency calls, they take crime seriously. ELPD response times are fast. Their capable investigators take pride in bringing criminals to justice. As an added bonus, they are generally very professional. What more do you want from a police department?
Fremontidae Scott: More profiteering than policing. They use Grand River as a piggy bank, and create excessive traffic speed variability (#1 predictor of accidents) while doing so. It's so rampant they even have an online, streamlined way to plead to a more expensive civil infraction rather than getting points for a moving violation. A mockery of real law enforcement.
Jose Roman: The better police of the world
Jake Dechurch: THE BEST.
Barbara Taylor: My Mom is on the "Senior Emergency Check List" through the ELPD. She didn't respond to a follow-up phone call after the storm. I asked to have a wellness check-up, within a matter of minutes they called back to report she was okay and without power. I truly appreciate their service to the East Lansing community, especially our elder residents. It provides me with peace of mind as I live out-of-state. THANK YOU!
Justin Anderson: Shittiest police department. How does police administration only open 4 days a week?
Anas Aldasouqi: Thanks to the police for helping us stay safe!

Lansing Township Police Department: what do users think?
jeffery Marsh: Officer ebright from Lansing Township Police Department is a horrible untrained officer he is not professional and he is a scared officer .
Catherine Y.: Officer Michelle Hood is an extremely poor excuse of an officer. She let an abusive man steal a woman's car WITHOUT a license, and arrested. She is not and will never be a good addition to anyone's police department team. I ask that you please investigate and fire her immediately. Are you all as corrupt as her??????
Taylor Marie: Officer Michelle Hood displays a severe lack of skills in mediation, empathy, and decision making. She is the shining example of why women do not come forward in domestic violence cases, as they often feel the police are not on their side nor listening. Lansing needs to immediately broaden their training techniques for domestic violence calls. She failed as a police officer, and it doesn’t just reflect on her, but on the entire department for fostering an environment where an officer feels comfortable enough to do what Officer Hood did. Trying to embarrass a victim by arresting her, after Officer Hood failed to properly mediate a situation, in which she also failed to investigate a possible domestic abuser on scene and instead commended him for being “cooperative” and then let him leave along with the only working transportation for a single mother. Nothing less than a public apology, immediately action within the department, and reworking of DV training will suffice in making this right.
mountain mama: Michelle Hood is a disgraceful police officer, one of the police officers that give all the rest a bad name. I would avoid calling the police at all cost if you live in this precinc unless absolutely necessary. Officers like Michelle Wood are why domestic violence victims stay quiet and don't ask for help. Absolutely disgusted with this sad excuse for a woman.
Lyndsey Webb: Michelle Hood arrested a DV survivor to cover her trail for not checking the abuser for license or insurance before allowing him to drive off and steal the victims truck. An absolutely disgusting example of police incompetency and disregard for the people they are employed to serve. This needs to be investigated.
Rocio Goodwin: As a DV survivor Michelle hood is what's wrong with most officers who answer these types of calls especially if they themselves have the same conditions as the abuser or poor training in DV to handle set situations and then wonder why many victims don't speak out or leave! Thanks Michelle for the extra ✨️trauma✨️ you added to the victim.
Meghan Johnson: Officer Michelle hood is the problem. DV victims are clearly not supported by your police station and officers. She should not be allowed anywhere near DV victims ever again. Disgusting that you still employ her.
Alva Johnson: Quick response and courteous manner. Thank you.
