Nichole Furlong: I was not impressed with my experience. I felt very rushed (even though there was only one other customer in the store. None by the time we checked out) and I was disappointed in the selection. The associates were kind but either the owner or manager (not sure which) was very rude when she spoke with me which was extremely off putting. Even if you're providing an extra service to be helpful, making rude and snide comments about how/where/why I've purchased a particular shoe is a huge turn off. I've been to many dancewear stores in my day as a dancer and now dance mom and this is probably the worst experience I've had in 30+ years of being involved in the dance world.Edit in regards to Owner's Response: While accurate in her response, the owner left out a few key facts. She was not in the store for the first 20min of my shopping experience where I felt rushed. There was only one rack of adult sized leotards to browse that were not black. I did not ask for the tap shoe to be repaired I asked if they carried tap shoe screws and she willingly repaired the shoe. She also left out the comments she made while the shoe was repaired. Targeting the facts I purchased the shoe online and it was not a "name brand" (I was shamed and told I should be buying from them and not online) and specifically told me "I get what I pay for".

Lupe Carroll: My dance instructor referred me to Heather for a pair of pointe shoes. I was very impressed with her skill level and knowledge on all things dance. Not only my shoes.

Julia Anderson: MK has the best fitting expert for pointe shoe fittings. Heather has years of experience so you never have to worry. I also love the rewards program. It has saved me much money over the years.

Adele Holmes: They don’t just sell clothing they sell accessories which I love. Nothing better than a one-stop shop with great customer service. I needed something very specific and Heather came through as I knew she would.

Gerald Washington: Abby was great in helping us find everything that we needed. The shop is very clean and well-organized which my OCT appreciated.

Marianne Carlson: Our troop needed some performance apparel and we came to the best place in our area which is MK Dancewear. The rewards program allows us to take care of our students. We use the discount to help our kids who come from families that are going through financial difficulties. Without all the help we can get we would be in danger of losing some of our most promising talent.

Brandi Venox: The selection here at MK Dancewear is second to none. Heather’s years industry experience must give her a leg up as far as knowing what to stock for all of us dance addicts. I have never looked for a shoe, leotard or accessory I could not find.

Courtney McCampbell: I went in hoping they could help me and they blew me away! I direct a high school theater and have no dance experience. Ok, I did do tap dance and ballet but I want even in the double digits age wise so I don't think that counts. Heather was incredibly patient as she walked me through the different types of shoes and the benefits for each one. She was very honest about which shoes were better and why even if sometimes they were the cheaper shoe. She is incredible knowledgeable and friendly. I am so happy I stopped by her store and look forward to working with her for many years to come!!

hima kurada: I’m sure everyone has heard this before but I don’t like to leave reviews good or bad ( apparently am too lazy). However, I was compelled to leave a review for Deb’s Zumba class. I am a working mom pretty active pre pandemic but then had a baby and the pandemic soon after made loose all interest in fitness ( going out period). As they last ditch effort to be fit (really just forced by my sisters 😒) I went to the kick it dance studio for Deb’s Zumba class. It was amazing not only did it kick my Bu** it was super fun. I’m not a dancer by any means but there was absolutely no judgement period! All in all it was great. Ladies if you’re like me and are looking to have some fun time while getting fit this may be the place for you. The only downside the class gets filled pretty easy because it’s worth it.

Heather Stiffler: I have brought my girls to Kick it out for a total of 4 years. My girl have loved being there. When we first started going one of my daughters didn’t know what she wanted to take, the owner suggested she try a bunch of classes to figure out what she likes. Then she picked 2. Then my other daughter was in soccer and wanted to do dance when soccer was over. The owner was very accommodating. Now 4 years later one daughter is still dancing and loves going. We have always had good interactions with all the workers and teachers.

Deborah O'Connell: I have been going to Kick It Out for 3 years and they have treated me like family since day 1. Their staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about dance. They focus their efforts on helping students improve their dance technique and grow as individuals. I am incredibly impressed by this facility and it's staff. I highly recommend this studio for children (competitive & rec classes), adult recreational classes, and fitness. They have a little something for everyone!

Kristin Tweedy: Kick It Out is a fabulous dance studio. The owners are incredibly hard workers and bend over backwards to make sure everyone feels included and accepted. There are dance classes for all ranges of dancers from beginners to experienced. They even have adult beginners classes, which is awesome! On top of that, they also have fabulous fitness classes they hold at their studio from Zumba to Pound to Yoga. It's a great place!

The staff was rude and I was not impressed with the way they treated the students either.To reply to your messsage: My name is clearly posted above. It’s not a fake name, actually very rude of you to assume it’s not my name. How would you fix anything when I decided that your dance studio was not a place I would ever want my child going again exactly, and there was no money to be refunded. YOU sound like someone bitter because I left a bad review, since you want to talk about how I sound. You want to fix something, fix the professionalism and training of your staff. However, clearly they get their training from you, so it all makes sense. Have a good day!

Sammy Chau: I had the worst experience with this place. My child was assaulted in class by another student, shoved out of class, while crying, without explanation and was held to a higher standard than the other children. She was repeatedly reprimanded for the same thing other children were doing. None of the other children were reprimanded like she was. All of this happened in 3 classes. I was offered to join the class after I was already walking out the door. I was only offered to sit down, on site and talk, after the owner repeatedly interrupted me while I was speaking with my daughter. They also required me to pay almost $300 on the first day of class, and none of it was refundable. Oh, and she is a 3 year old... I have proof they offered to view the recordings with me, once I accepted, they quit communication and threatened to contact their attorney.

Sara: My family has had the best experience with this studio. Both my kids are dancers. My daughter is going into her 5th competitive dance season and my son just started last year. The instructors are amazing and really teach to the kids strengths. I cant say enough about the owner she has a heart of gold. Its amazing that she knows every kid and every dance they are in. They provide great positive instruction. The studio has been safe and followed every protocol. My daughter comes out of class laughing and exhausted (the “worked hard” kind of exhausted) It’s been a great year despite every challenge. So grateful for this studio and the instructors!!

We stayed because of the relationships we developed with the other dance families and dancers. Studio collected from the state during quarantine all while making dance families pay full tuition as well.I do not recommend. Matt Holtz: When it comes to planning a recital day this school bombs. They ask 5 &6 year olds to show up at 12:30 and stay until 8pm. I’ve never met a 6 year old that can focus for nearly 8 hours.
