Aloha Cookin': what do users think?
B Grzesiak: Super staff, delicious food, very clean and different. The Poke is awesome, loved the dumplings and especially the Spam Roll.Shrimp was cooked perfectly and Kalua Pork was another outstanding dish.Mahi Mahi was top notch.Aloha Cookin' will be on our regular rotation now!!!
Zach Garrett: Yea, it's that good.
Katherine Molnar: Super disappointed my take out Deluxe Poke Bowl didn't include any avocado, and not much seaweed or edamame. Otherwise tasted great.
Steve B: This is a little slice of Hawaiian Heaven!!!Please don't sleep on this place 🙏 so much to offer. Extremely clean 👌 👏 🙌Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Laurie Brinker: The panko chicken was perfectly cooked. The rice is nice and sticky. Loved the ginger soy dipping sauce. Miso soup was delicious.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to ground floor level entryDietary restrictions: I'm allergic to peppers and there were plenty of options for me to choose from.

Reed Turchetti: We had a great dinner, lots of good food, friendly people, relaxed environment and they have really good coconut donuts!Vegetarian options: Great options!
Alex Bane: I used to live in Korea for nearly 5 years, and I've been struggling to find a decent Korean restaurant in the area. I have sadly yet to find one, but Aloha Cookin definitely fills that void. Hawaiian barbecue is quite similar to Korean barbecue in many aspects, but you won't get any sides of garlic or kimchi or lettuce wraps. What you will get, however, is an explosion of FLAVOR! This place has THE best short ribs and barbecue pork I have ever tried! Their mac salad is heavenly as well. Kudos to the chef. 👏
BilliJo Tourtillott: A few of us drove from out of state just to visit this restaurant. It did not disappoint!! It took me back to being back in Hawaii. The food was just like what you would get at the local eateries on the island. We all shared loco moco, katsu chicken, fried pork dumplings, Kailua pig, macaroni salad, garden salad with lemon ginger dressing, chili chicken, huli huli chicken, and huli huli wings (we went there on two different occasions). Everything was delicious. I was sad that we couldn’t try their Spam misubu, but it was due to circumstances beyond their control. In addition, the atmosphere and the staff were very pleasant. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant.
John McCann: As someone who has lived in the Lansing area his whole life, I’m not kidding when I say this is East Lansing’s greatest gem. Everything from the buttered shrimp to the fried mahi and chicken katsu was outrageously good. The shrimp is the best I have ever had anywhere! Highly recommend and probably the best East Lansing/Lansing has to offer. Five stars
Anthony Nye: This is a great place for Pacific Islander cuisine! A friend and I found this place by chance and we glad we tried it. Definitely going to go back.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Steamed Dumplings, Kalua Pig Special Plate …More
Jairus Gerona: Has a great setting, the music is relaxing, and most importantly the food is out of this world! So good and never that busy, food comes out immediately.
joe got that: Amazing food great quick service and over all I wish I could rate it a ten because of how good this place is love it!!!
Sandeep Banik: Aloha Cooking primarily serves Hawaiian cuisine and is located in downtown East Lansing, beside BAPS.I went in for a poke bowl and they offered tuna, tuna and salmon, or veggie poke bowl, which came with a miso soup and a choice of sauce.Atmosphere and Decor: The restaurant looks neat and clean, with a warm and quiet atmosphere. The seating is the classic booth, which seats four. The restroom is relatively clean and spacious.Service: The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food came out quite quickly, and they were able to leave out certain items from a particular dish if you have any allergies.Food and Flavors: The poke tuna bowl was delicious, with very tender tuna and a great mix of flavors with the veggies and rice. The roasted sesame sauce was a great choice for this bowl. The poke bowl with miso soup is a big meal for one. The restaurant does not serve any alcoholic drinks.Price: The price is on the higher side for an entrée, but considering the quality and quantity of food, it was a great experience. Conclusion: The restaurant's location is great, and the staff is friendly. The food was delicious, and we had a great time.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian poke bowl available.

Poké Fresh: what do users think?
Alex Bane: The owner always talks about how she's following industry standards when it comes to her ridiculous prices and toddler-portioned fish. I don't think she's straight up lying but she's definitely stretching some truths. I wouldn't be surprised if this location closes just like Poke Lab did not too long ago. The rice here is always undercooked by the way.
C M: The staff is kind and attentive, the food is ALWAYS GOOD, i’ve never had a single bad thing here. Peaceful atmosphere. pro-tip: always get ad many veggies as u want, haha.
Sierra Tamez: First time at this location and it was so good. Ordered online, had free and easy parking. Store is well decorated and overall enjoyable to be in. Service was great. Adding this to my lunch routine.Recommended dishes Regular BYO Bowl …More
Lexus Loona: Do not get your poke bowl from this place, if you do go in person and make sure they are giving you the right portions. This is the third order where my rice is mushy and the miso is extremely salty. I always order the seaweed and crab and it seems like they increased the price still using the same small scoops. There was barely any crab in my bowl. There is no standard here and I can not expect to get a good meal from this place. This is the third time in a row where i have had a bad experience. Idk what happened to this place but its clearly not the same anymore, a hit or miss.
Rick Shafer: Really good, fresh, healthy food at a good price. Nice to have "poke" cuisine in Michigan after falling in love with it in Hawaii. Dining area needs some attention.Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 2/5Recommended dishes Heat Wave Bowl …More
Kylie Mckay: Portions are average, prices are also average for sushi, this was my first time and I'll definitely be back 🍣😸Food: 5/5 …More
Ray Boyer: Delicious and fresh, the sauces are house special and fantasticFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Linda Clark: Great food, fresh and great selection! Very clean and welcoming...Vegetarian options: Huge variety of veggiesFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Tempura …More
Jeremy Nielson: Poke Fresh is a little treasure I enjoy. All the normal poke’ toppings and a spicy mayo that doesn’t make me regret it later.Every time I go, the ingredients seem to be fresh. The rice doesn’t have any hard bits and is warm, the fish cold. The only complaint is it takes a few minutes for an udon soup - but that’s not really an issue, it’s really fresh. Id rather have fresh, good tasting food with a little wait.Keep up the great work, I’ll see you again soon!
Roy Partridge: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Amy Eyden: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More

charlotte hartges: Loved the poke! Tastes like sushi but in a bowl. They have smoked fish if your scared of raw fish.
Rachel C: In the past, I've loved Poke Fresh and it was one of my favorite places to go when I needed a pick-me-up. Lately, however, my visits to this location have been disappointing. Today was the final straw, unfortunately. My bowl was mostly rice with pitiful scoops of vegetables and toppings. The worker was rude and when making my bowl, he put in the wrong protein (plain tofu, when I asked for the miso maple tofu). I mentioned that I didn't think he put in the right tofu (it was clearly plain tofu, as the other two were definitely seasoned), but he argued with me that it was the correct tofu.He seemed like maybe he was new, so this may have been a one-off, but regardless, I've still noticed a trend in increased prices and decreased amount of food given during my past few visits. I have no problems with price increases, as I understand inflation and the rising costs of goods, but when I'm paying $17 after tip for a bowl that is 90% rice, something doesn't seem right.
Alex Gustanski: Their food is great if not a little bit expensive but the last time I went the ice machine gave me a dead fly in my water. Would be a 5/5 if they cleaned their machine.
Mohammed Al Nuaimi: Best restaurant in East Lansing, I’m really sad that I discovered it o
Melissa Suess: super good poké bowls! everything is clean and they’re always super quick. leaving 4 stars because i’ve had several less than friendly interactions with staff.
Madison Roberts: So good, can’t wait to go back
FIRE WOLF: Can't. Get. Enough.!!! Seriously!!
Isabella Voss: Food was disgusting had to throw it out the fish was rancid

Pizza House: what do users think?
Leslie Lopez: Delicious pizza 🍕!!! Lunch specials are worth the price also. Great place to dine in, the environment looks well lighted and organized. Definitely recommend the personal pizza lunch order. Will go again soon!Parking: Multiple spots, plaza parking

Lisa Shubel: I had high hopes for this place. We were there on a Saturday evening. Lots of staff standing around on their phones while guests waited to be served. Food was average. I wish I hadn't used the ladies room - it was a disaster! Overflowing garbage cans, toilet paper everywhere, dirty sinks. It made me wonder how clean the kitchen was.......

M Nedloc: I’m going to assume all the locals know about their town’s Pizza House and if they haven’t already, I’m sure they will in due time. A simple comparison would be that this is a cheesecake factory of pizza pies. There’s a lot on the menu, not just pizza, there’s a lot of food options, I mean, a lot. First time coming here, of course we got pizza, and it was not disappointing. We went with a Chicago style pizza, and it was ooey gooey, just the way I like it. There are also salads, wings, plenty of entrees to satisfy all kinds. People are nice and helpful when it comes to such a large menu. Besides all the great pizza, my next favorite thing would be their bruschetta and I don’t know what they do, but I could eat a whole appetizer of bruschetta by myself as a meal alone, I’d be ok with that. I also had an alcoholic shake, which can also come without alcohol, but boy I could get lost in those drinks as well. I’ve been to one of these establishments in Ann Arbor and East Lansing and when they get busy that can get BUSY, don’t be surprised because the wait can get long. But you might as well try it once, right?
Laura B: Love this place! It is kind of pricey but we don't get to the area often, so when we do it's a treat.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Laura Curry: Food was excellent. Service was attentive. My son's beer was flat, and the server willingly switched it out for something else. My son told me that wasn't the first time that he was served a flat beer at this establishment. And when he brought up the fact that his beer didn't taste right to the server without mentioning why, the server said "is it flat?" as if he'd received this complaint previous times.
Matt Fuller: I legitimately would rate lower if I could. My SO and I went in for a couple drinks and to share appetizers. Our “waiter” seemed annoyed that we would even do that when we looked over the menu. She never wrote anything down, never really acknowledged us, and only talked to us a grand total of 2 times. We waited around for an hour, never got our food, only got our 1 drink, and never saw her for the entirety of us being there. I had to stop a completely different server to ask for our check because we needed to leave and we never got our food. The waitress was shorter and had somewhat wavy/curly hair. I’m not 100% that’s what she looked like, again we only talked to her twice.Likely would never come back again unless they learn how to wait tables, or at least she does.
Katie Van Dyke: Sorely disappointed with our experience. Our server came by to take our drink orders after like 10 minutes when it wasn’t busy at all. She brought our drinks a few minutes later and took our order. That was the last time we talked to her and we sat there for over an hour. We never got our food, no more drinks, no one else stopped by to check on us. We ended up asking another server for our check and left without our food. Definitely don’t recommend coming here.

Anthony Siroskey: My widowed daughter spent a small fortune for her MSU daughter's graduation party yesterday.Service was great but the Chicago style pizza was all sauce, I mean like tons of sauce. Owner and chef need to go to Chicago or Pizza Populus to taste what a properly cooked Chicago style pizza is and it is stuffed with sausage pepperoni and cheese. No consistency with their dough also. Come on even Little Caesars dough is chewy not flaky like their breadsticks and Pizza dough.Salad pizza was done right.Sorry for the bad review but this is me being honest.
Michael Andrews: Great food.New waiter, slow but very apologetic . Overall good service.Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Chicago Deep Dish Cheese Pizza, Chicago Style …More

Chris S: This is easily one of our favorite pizzerias in the area. It's not flimsy, greasy pizza. It's solid pizza made with better ingredients. It's very tasty. Our family of four prefers this place over the others because of the pizza by the slice option. Everyone can get the toppings they want without a fussy compromise. (That's mostly on the kids.) What I appreciate most is that the selection is never quite the same. Yes, you'll always have the option of cheese, pepperoni, mushroom, pepperoni and mushroom, etc.; but then you'll sometimes find a nacho, taco, white, BBQ bacon, or some other specialty slice waiting for you.I do have some criticisms, though. My main complaint is that the slices that use tomato sauce don't have enough on them. Their sauce is good and they're being stingy! I can get a cup on the side for dipping, but it should be the default. Then there's the parking situation. There was a remodel imposed on them that I think, post-pandemic, will not be very favorable. There used to be a decent-sized parking lot available. Now there's a small enclosed lot that fits only a handful of cars, lacks a direct entrance, and lacks even a decent walkway out. Patrons have to worry about wedging themselves in and out of parking spaces as well as if their families will get hit by a car making a sharp turn into the lot, because there's no safe path available until they reach the sidewalk. My family loves this place. I just wish the building owners could have shown the same love.Kid-friendliness: It's pizza and most kids like pizza. You can ask the people there to cut slices into even smaller pieces if that suits your kids better.

Joshua Toscano: Got the stuffed meat lovers. I suggest not getting the 18 inch if it's just you it took me 3 days to eat it. Perfect for broke college kids and the pizza was crispy and super super cheesy. Put it in the oven to reheat if you make the same mistake I did you won't regret trying this place.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Marilyn Stahl: Amazingly quick. Pick your slice, and only one needed, they heat it quick and you are set.Vegetarian options: Spinach pizza, they have gluten free.
Patrick England: Very good Pizza, a large variety of different Pizzas. It was our first time there, we will definitely be back.
Thomas Lhamon: Awesome pizza!!!
Chris Curry: Just picked up my order and the potato pizza with bacon had no bacon. Contacted the store was placed on hold and told sorry the cook said he put bacon on it or we might have switched yours up with someone else. They went on to say sorry again but there is nothing more we can do for you and to have a good night. Generally get pizza from the other location because we have had issue with under cooked pizzas in that past at the grand river one. Figured we would try them again but after tonight will probably just stay away from the franchise.
Andrew Shay: Some of the best pizza in the area. Since moving from NY years ago, I gave up hope of ever finding pizza close to NY, but this is the closest to NY pizza I've had.
