Elizabeth Lyons: I love going to the dentist. My teeth feel great afterwards and I get a typically honest update. I think Elan is a great dental service but the dentists rotate/leave often and there isn’t typically a warning. You just have a new dentist when you get there. That’s fine but some sort of update would be nice. Hygienist are usually around longer but often switch as well. My recent visit was ok. I had a 9:40 appointment but the day before it was changed to 8am. That’s ok, I don’t mind getting there early. When I arrived, there was no one at the desk. I was told to arrive early but when I got there I had to wait 20 minutes in the lobby for someone to come in. Maybe they had an early morning meeting?? I’m not sure. I didn’t get my usual dental hygienist. She’s absolutely amazing. My teeth always feel great afterwards. So I was kinda bummed when I had to go to a different person. The person I had before my favorite dental hygienist lied about issues with my teeth and gums and was moved elsewhere or fired. I think it was done at the request of the old dentist because when she left the hygienist told me my teeth and gums were fine. The issues she told me about and I refused to take action on don’t just clear up after six months. So it had to be a lie. The things they told me to get done involved deep scaling, a root canal, a bridge, and pulling. When she left and a new dentist came he was like no that’s not necessary, just a replacement filling (what my original dentist said should be done before he retired and sold the office told me to do. I mentioned this to both ladies and they refused to even consider what I was saying.) So I really appreciated my new hygienist and the care she took of my teeth. She was very informative too and really honest. I truly trusted her recommendations. The new lady from this appointment was nice. She used a water drill (I think) to clean my teeth instead of hooks. It was ok, but I didn’t like it as much. My teeth didn’t feel clean afterwards and the polish used was really gritty. She told me I needed to get a fluoride treatment (a two hour process) and a mouth guard. The doctor was someone different also but he seemed nice too. He said my teeth were flattening and chipped and I should look into a mouth guard for at night from grinding and clamping my jaw. He’s a nice guy also but always seemed nervous.In all, my most recent trip was 30/35 minutes. It wasn’t very long which was confusing and issues that are typically issues weren’t, so that’s concerning. I don’t know if they actually went away or if this is another trick to get me to have procedures I don’t need. (The lady who was giving false info is no longer there. I think I’m just overly cautious after that experience.) I wish I could’ve went to my usual dental hygienist. I trust her recommendations and she takes time to explain what she’s seeing as she works and how the suggestions help. If I see her next time and she recommends the guard and fluoride treatment, I’ll get them.I gave a four because they are a nice group. I think they just had an off day. I have an appointment in six months and will give the new hygienist and dentist a try to see how it goes. This visit was just ok and the first time my teeth didn’t feel clean. On average I think they do good work. So I’m hoping in six months things are back to normal when I’m there. I recommend them to everyone who asks. They are the best in the area. A lot of people at work go also.

Journie Cruz: The staff is always friendly. Their COVID practices are clear and safe. I've always received excellent care from this facility. The office and waiting areas are clean and attractive. They seem to always be running on time, I've never had to wait past my appointment time. They are very attentive and utilize multiple communication methods to make responding to confirmations, and things of that nature, more convenient.

Mike Perrelli: Went in for treatment of a small cavity. Was treated by Dr. Lakian, who was exceptional. She kept me informed through the entire process, but in a light-hearted manner. She turned a normally anxiety producing event into manageable and almost entertaining experience.

They never left the lidocaine gel on my gum long enough, it would be there for less than a minute before they were giving me shots. I hate needles going into my gums. My dentist did not soothe my fears and at one time said I was being “over dramatic” about it. I felt pressured into a tooth implant that I absolutely hate and the cap is constantly breaking off. If I could just go to my hygienist I would have stayed.
