DAMNRIGHT! “DRE”: From start to finish this was a great experience. Caught a great deal when I first purchased the unit.I was there for several months. Casey was very helpful. I even left my unit unlock a couples of times. You know,rushing. She called me, not to long after I had left it unlock, to let me know. Even when I left,I didn't let them know ahead of time so I could pay a pro-rated amount. So I thought I'd just eat the lost and she still found away to refund me the additional money for the time I would have used. The enclosed access to the units are great. Especially when it's cold,raining or snowing. I'm glad I found this place. Will definitely recommend or return if needed.

D S: Foreword:I've never had a storage unit before, but Extra Space Storage has set the bar very high.Customer Service:Firstly I'd like to say Casey is awesome, super nice and friendly, yet very informative. She wasn't someone to tell you only what you wanted to hear just to mske a sale, she gave you it all (but in a very professional and respectful way).The Facility/Grounds:I was shown a brand new unit to rent, it was spotless from the floor to the ceiling. The whole facility is incredibly clean and well kept, you almost forget you're on the south-side of lansing LOL.Security:This place "feels" secure at least. They have security gates and cameras, it was daylight when I went but they had many light poles so I'd imagine at night it's well lit.Pricing:The pricing seemed fair, not cheap, and not over the top. You're definitely paying for what you get, clean facility, clean units, well kept grounds, and security. So I'm totally pleased with everything.

Sara Wells: Very pricey for an average sized storage unit, and it's infested with mice. My mother-in-law and I both had mouse droppings all over our stuff, and our books and other paper stuff were destroyed by the mice eating them. Not to mention they also false advertise. We signed up online which was supposed to be $67/month. It STILL says $67/month online. However, we are currently paying $140. Don't fall for it. Do not recommend. I am currently in the process of moving my stuff into a better, more reasonably priced unit in Delta Township.

Travis Gaines: Just signed my lease today, so I can’t speak to my long term experience with this business, but in the short term, I can say that Casey has been phenomenal. She’s proactively communicated with me throughout the process in a clear, courteous, and upfront manner. It appears she takes “ownership” of the property, its customers and their customer experience. Finally, I appreciate that I was able to remotely complete as much of the leasing process as I wanted to.
Diana Dora: Very quick and easy to deal with. Had a united rented and paid for in less than 10 minutes. Casey (not sure of the spelling) was absolutely professional and kind. 10/10 recommend!

Devin Daniels: Just a heads up if you plan on using the storage unit, they won’t tell you, but every four months they will keep upping the rent and there’s nothing you can do about it considering they do month-to-month contracts. highly recommend you go with any other company. Now for the staff those guys are awesome, the company itself is garbage.

Ginny B2022: Ken and Travis at the Hosmer St, Lansing Michigan location are a pleasure to work with. Moving interstate is not for sissies and these guys helped allay many of the worries associated with this. The facility is super clean and I loved that the moving truck pulls right up into the building to unload.

Amy Stanton: The units are nice. It is clean, and I never felt unsafe, even late at night. However, they increased the rent on my unit twice between March and October so that I was paying 70% more. It felt predatory. I get inflation, but not 70%. And they didn’t communicate the second increase. I am no longer renting a unit there because of this.** Edit: CubeSmart's response is great - but I am going to say this again. The price increase on my unit went up by 70% between March and October of this year. And saying that I should talk to someone is silly. I DID talk to someone in the office, after trying for two weeks to connect with someone and finally happening to catch them in the office when I started to empty the unit. Their response? Energy prices. Inflation. Etc. So again - I can read. Expecting reasonable price increases annually makes sense. But 70% over 6 months is not reasonable. That's predatory.

It is pretty secure.I would also like to point out this was a very reasonably priced storage facility.Again I would like to thank everyone that assisted me with my issues and help me with getting this location.Thank you.

Stephanie Andrews: Stay far away from this place. Have been trying since November to get access to my moms storage unit after she passed. Sent in the paperwork several times with multiple phone calls, only to be told a different reason each time why I couldn’t access it. Now (March) I finally can after I pay over $800 plus late fees. The manager ‘call back within 24 hours’ is a joke. It’s clear they get off on taking advantage of people and tormenting me after losing both my parents.UPDATE: went to BBB website, apparently they are known for having unethical billing practices and denying gate entry.

John Henry: Garbage all over the streets. Both machines in office are broken. Nobody to talk to in this state. The rejects you actually talk to argue when you call them. There was 6 inch step up to get stuff in the unit. And the door lock doesn’t go in the hole. It’s not properly lined up. And 2 hours after I moved in the rates went up. I have never seen such bad business policy’s. Yes they are cheap but you get what you pay for. I will be moving out as fast as I moved into the unit. Forgot to mention this is in Lansing Michigan

acidflxwer: If I could give zero stars I would. Tried moving out back in December. Cleaned out storage unit and let the office know, they said everything was fine. I continued to get invoices all the way until May when I left in December. Called 3 separate times and when I called a 4th time was told there was no record of any of my other calls. On May 15th I finally got an email confirming my successful move out. Then just yesterday receive an invoice and lease agreement for a DIFFERENT unit that I DID NOT sign up for.Edit: this is the Red Dot storage on Bristol Road in Burton, MI.

Spring Seder: I went here after office hours to get storage and paid for it got a gate code and spent from 915 p.m. to 10 p.m. trying to use that gate code to get into the gate so I could unload my truck. It kept denighing entry. So I call the number on the door, well there is no one I can speak to after 7 p.m. so what do I do? Nothing I'm s.o.l. and have to pay for my truck rental again. If it wasn't already paid for I wouldn't be storing ny things there. There should always be someone you cab speak with. I mean come on you can't afford to gave 1 remote employee to answer and route emergency calls and you are that big of a company? That's definatly not great customer service.

They worked w me when I had to upgrade and move a couple of times. Great place to store stuff. Be cautious of the vehicle storage outside though. Looks like they're installing cameras to fix that issue tho.. I have to say that I am disappointed in the lighting and have seen places where people can get in without being seen in there. so, there needs to be more lighting and the perimeter secured better.

The only reason I moved out of my unit is because my living situation changed from what I thought it would be when I got the unit, and it was now too far away to be convenient.I had one of the 24 hour smaller units on the perimeter, and even though my unit wasn't inside the gates, I always knew my items were safe. Chris went out of his way to explain things thoroughly, and he is very helpful! He will go out of his way to have authentic conversations with you, and is a friendly face to have on site.

Rajan Dewar: This storage space experience was my best in the industry that I have encountered. This includes my storage experiences in CAlifornia, Massachusetts, Michigan and CT. First of all, the price - it is as transparent as possible. Yes they have the promotion but they explain upfront what and when the promotion ends and give you heads up when it expires so that you are not surprised. The intaking experience with Cassie was very nice and professional - no pressure. They offer a lock but also allow you to bring your own. No pressure whatsoever on using their products. And their products are not pricy - a coat hanging box was 14.99As I was closing out, again the experience with Carly, the manager was very pleasant. I was just a couple of days into my new month and she offered to give me a discount on what I owed, without my asking. Overall, this business is less greedy and more customer oriented. Place is clean - lots of Dollies. Lighting is good. They have spaces per your preference. Great experience.
