Mai M: I went in for a diagnostic test on my car (which was priced at $108) and somehow I ended with them keeping my car for almost three weeks trying to do more tests. They talk fast and around you. They did not tell me they were charging me extra for keeping my car. They also did not explicitly state that they were running additional tests. I wish they would have just told me they did not know what was wrong with my car after the first test so I could have had time to go elsewhere instead of cheating me out of $300. Scott Roberts: Dropped off for a simple oil change. They called and said they couldn't remove the skid plate. A screw was stripped and there would be this process in order to remove it correctly. $148. charge. I declined. Next day I went to Instant Oil Change. No issues.Service:Oil change
Tim Kylman: Picked up my Mom's truck after they installed transmission lines. The lines leaked the transmission blew. With less than 50 miles on the vehicle they said it was her fault and it would cost $5,000 dollars for a junk yard transmission no warranty or guarantee. We called a transmission shop $4500 Jasper remanufactured with warranty,When we went to have it towed the truck had the window broken out the transmission lines cut the catalytic converter removed and it was suspiciously parked two feet outside the camera range. They never HONORED there warranty. I give them two stars because I honestly believe they were telling the truth about no warranty on the transmission that blew because be of thier repair.

Mike Pizzo: Friendly, knowledgeable, honest shop with excellent service. Their labor rates are one of the lowest around and they don't charge a ridiculous markup on the parts. I had a 6,700.00 estimate from another shop, Auto Lab did everything plus more work that was found for 4,700.00 and offers a veterans discount. Sam the manager is a genuinely great person. I cannot recommend any other shop over the service you will receive at Auto Lab.
Ron Feher: Said they don't give quotes over the phone. That should have been my first sign. Like they don't have software that tells them how much parts are and how long it takes to put them on. I finally got them to give me a quote and dropped off the car cuz it was about what everybody else was charging. They called me the next day said they made a mistake and doubled the quote. As soon as I told them not to work on it I was coming to get it they proceeded to wait 20 minutes and call me back and take it back down to the original quote. Promptly went and picked up my vehicle. Those kind of sales tactics are so outdated and ridiculous I can't believe they thought anybody would go for that!Update: The bait and switch quote was double what 3 other shops quoted me. Funny the other 3 were all within $10 of each other. You called me back and reduced the price to what you originally quoted me that was the price the other 3 quoted me. Can you explain that away? You had my car so you thought you were going to hold me hostage. Not happening. Trying to work with you costed me 2 additional cab rides. Compltetly unprofessional and deceptive way to make double the profit on a repair. No need to talk further. I think we both know we won't be dealing with each other in the future. By the way it pays 1 hour. 4 bolts, How could you make a mistake on that?

j g: After a few days they returned with the same diagnosis I gave them at the beginning so a few wasted days isn't great but whatever. Then they quoted 2x to 3x the price for a part saying that was "his" price from Napa yet Napa's own website confirms Auto-lab is asking 2 to 3 times more. The part can be found on Amazon for 6x less than Auto-lab quoted. Had my vehicle towed to a more honest shop after talking with a rude manager (Sam) who just whined about how expensive it is to run his shop and how he needed his profits. Business owners and managers who whine about expenses are destined to run the place into the ground while blaming everything but their own decisions. Sure, making a profit is fine but trying to dramatically overcharge on an easily confirmed price is just bad management.

Just to look at it was $200 and if I walked away from getting it fixed I would be out that but to fix just my air it was $800 that day my tail lights were both working😞 all for nothing and got my air fixed with new compressor I guess said to think it's a 2010 and almost 200000 miles is all I could afford and now my car is putting me more into the ground.

Gretchen Paige: Fantastic auto repair service. My car broke down on way to Chicago and stopped here to see if they could troubleshoot. Jake jumped on it and quickly identified the problem which was quite extensive. They were able to take me in right away and had it all fixed within 24 hours. Josh Mac: Had my vehicle in for service, 400miles later the “repair” failed. So I had to pay for a tow and additional maintenance that the shop alleges were necessary. Yet no mention of an issue with the prior service. I’m certain you scammed me! 400miles and an alternator fails? Not likely.
Josh H.: Too much oil was put in the engine during oil change. I received a refund but no apology when I went to pick up the check. In the past I have left positive reviews for previous work that was done but I cannot give a good review this time around. I have taken numerous cars here to have work done but I won't be returning.

J B: Had them change out a part that bigger commercial places wouldn't do for me unless they replaced the rest of the suspension components too. I'm in school and was quoted prices such as $3,000. I bought all the components for around $200 necessary for the job, but didn't have the ability to do one part.The guys were nice here. Jacob Kahn: I heard a metallic rattling noise coming from the engine a couple days ago. I saw that B’s Randall had good reviews, and I’m happy to say that they turned out to be true. The rear catalytic converter was the issue, but it was much more expensive than I could afford to fix on a student budget. The mechanic offered to tighten the protective shields and sure up anything else, while also repairing a broken sway bar for a great price. While not a fix, B’s Randall was able to help postpone the repair until I have the money to fix it properly. Which obviously will be done by them for their honesty, good prices, and understanding how to help someone on a budget.

Charles Roltsch: I'd been going to B's Randall for years, but when I made the switch to Subaru he sent me across the street and I couldn't be happier. Mike and Blair run a communicative, honest, and fair shop. I have no doubt I can make it another 125k with these guys.
Jack Beck: I have a lot of experience with different shops and dealerships all over the state and I can't say a single one came close to the care and quality of University Foreign Car. I'm a college student with a Nissan Skyline (Japanese car) that I enjoy working on, but I brought in my car for some repairs and maintenance and Blaire the owner as well as Ian and Ryan the mechanics not only helped with the car but let let me watch the repairs they were doing, all while teaching me and giving me advice as to how to work on the car and maintenance it myself in the future. I was there for a few hours sharing stories and experiences about cars with everyone working that day and the entire time they weren't focused on upselling or trying to squeeze me for a dollar like just about every other shop, they genuinely cared for me and my vehicle and left me with a trusting group of friends, advice on my vehicle, all without charging me a fraction of what they easily could have. The Bose: This auto shop is fantastic. They fixed my car twice and I was completely satisfied both times. Prices are reasonable and the work was completed in a timely fashion. I have a 2001 Nissan Maxima and I had an electrical issue for which a part was out of production, but they managed to fix it anyway. I cannot recommend them enough!

I don’t know if their prices are higher than other locations, but the service I receive from Blair, Mike, and all the mechanics outweighs that aspect. As a woman, any auto shop that treats me with respect and will carry on a intelligent conversation gets a thumbs up.
Enkay T: Called and got an appointment for as n oil change. Got there and a man asked for my name and phone number again so he could write an invoice. Made no sense, but I gave him. After wasting my time, he proceeded to tell how many quarts of oil my car would need, how much each quart cost, and at the end the bill would be $120. Before he finished pronouncing the twenty, I was out the door. Criminal!!! Beware, dishonest people. Oil change prices are fixed depending on the quality of oil you need. I don't know if it's a MI thing, but I'm glad I don't live in MI.

C: The place was recommended but I guess is under new ownership. We had a leaking caliber. The price went up $100 by the time they found a caliper that was not leaking. I accepted that, however, when we picked up the car the steering wheel, door panel, and seat were covered in dirt and grease. I called them 2 times and never received a call back about how they left the car. Do not use these guys they have no respect for your vehicle. I will try to post the photos if possible.

The only reason I came here because the original owner were so good and reasonable fixing my vehicle in the past. Not knowing the original owner sold this place to some new owners. The charge me almost $600, part was only $100. So you can imagine what they charged in Labor. When I get in my vehicle the cover where my battery is was not put back on, live wires everywhere. My daughter almost step on them. I found dirty old rags in my back seat just total sloppy and unprofessional. I will never go back to this location. What they charged I should of got a free wash and wax SMDH.

Randy Cook: My brakes went out on my way back home from work. I work in Eaton Rapids and live in Dewitt. I stopped in to Muffler Man and they got right on it. I was done and home (with working brakes!) by early afternoon the same day! The staff was very helpful and friendly, as well as knowledgeable and efficient. I'll be doing all of my auto needs with Muffler Man from here on!! By the way, I work the graveyard shift at my work and had to go to work that night.

Brakfast: Took my Traverse in due to issues with low power mode, and the car not starting. After holding the car for 3 days, they (rudely) told me the transmission needed to be replaced and it was going to cost $6,000. Told them to forget it, and took it to the dealership I bought it from.Turns out, transmission was perfectly fine and it was just a corroded connector to the fuse box. That fixed the issue!Watch out for the scam, folks. Best to avoid this place, unless you like rude employees and fake problems.

John Brinker: Would definitely recommend for simpler repairs. Flex pipe on exhaust broke, so I worked to get the old off and a new one on. However, needed someone to weld it up for me. Took it to muffler man because they bothered to pick up the phone when I called. Showed up, and Nick took about 30 minutes welding the repair best he could; flex pipe was in a slightly awkward position. All in all the weld seems great and got an affordable seal for the wife's exhaust system.Service:Exhaust

Rochelle Fidler: Was charged for upper and lower control arms on both sides, and when I looked, it was like the upper ones either hadn't been replaced or were replaced with old parts when I paid for new parts. Always ask for your parts back, lesson learned. Also was told my car was totalled when it costed 358.51 to repair somewhere else, all because he wanted to sell me a car for 5 grand that he bragged about buying for 500 IN FRONT OF ME and said it didn't need much work, he could make money, etc. Not sure if it was him trying to get over on me with my lack of experience with cars, or if he expected me not to take a look at the control arms but I definitely feel scammed. Tammy Melser: My oil change/tire rotation turned into a stressful couple days. Lube tech said all lugnuts were cross threaded (yet he rotated the tires). A mechanic looked at it the next day and said they were not cross threaded but 6 lugnuts were over torqued and needed to be replaced. My lugnuts were not broke when I went in. The photo is when I got my Jeep back. So I would say their tech over torqued them. The service manager DID correct the problem eventually, while still not accepting blame. I received a questionnaire about my visits. I answered honestly about my experience. Within 4 hours of filling it out......the service manager called me and proceeded to chew me out for my review! He was mad that he got the score he did after he fixed my issue, which he again stated he didn't have to do! Was actually getting loud and rude about my review. Had him on speaker so my friends could hear him. Thought they were supposed to be filled out truthfully. ???Another friend of mine that has a Jeep vehicle said she also has had an issue with same guy at this dealership.Neither of us will go to this Jeep dealer again.
