Fred Gibson: My wife passed away a few months ago after a lengthy battle with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. She had a lease vehicle that I needed to have the lease transferred to my name. After months of extremely frustrating phone and written communications with the company that leased the vehicle, I finally rec'd a packet from the lease company that would allegedly allow that to occur and allow me to renew the now expired registration plate. I made a same day appt with the Sterling Heights branch on 19 Mile Rd. That was amazing of itself. I arrived early - with all paperwork in hand. I was greeted by a very gregarious lady who ckd my paperwork and directed me to a very short line. The lady I first met with was very pleasant. She was concerned the leasing company didn't send me the correct documents. You can imagine my frustration. I explained the difficulties dealing with the leasing company to that pt. She discussed the matter with the branch Mgr. -Elizabeth. Elizabeth took the time to contact the leasing company herself. She then took even more time to fax necessary documents to the leasing company. Because the plate was expired and due to the circumstances contacted her higher up to try and waive the fee for a 'temporary' plate. Even though that was not possible Elizabeth explained what I needed to do to follow up with leasing company and with Sec of State to achieve finalization of lease and plate transfer/renewal. I think she saw the tears in my eyes that I was trying to hide. She went above and beyond as did the first 2 CSR's I had contact with. Absolutely impressed. Thank you.

Missy Stables: I had the most wonderful, upbeat, cheerful, sweetheart help me out today by the name of Shauntee and she deserves a raise! She's by far the nicest and most helpful customer service worker I've ever encountered in my life! If I could give her more than 5 stars I would! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Evan Gonzales: This was the most streamlined and nicest SOS/DMV visit I've ever had in my entire life. Staff were super nice and efficient. It was borderline a good time, but let's be honest with ourselves, no SOS visit is a "GOOD" time... It did approach it, though. 10/10 would license again

April Cehaich: 5 months waiting for my unemployment I have one doc sitting for review no one can help me. I am entitled to this money I paid into and my first ever claim in my 30s for just 2 months is just sitting pending a doc review. I wait about a month or 2 and reach out and all I get is no time frame available first come first served I submitted in September. Every person is rude, they claim it is my fault that I received a severance when I applied. I disclosed that in my initial paperwork, my reason for the pending doc is a severance payment for weeks I was denied because I did not know that I had to apply for Michigan work. So due to a moot issue as it doesn't matter as I am not receiving benefits for the weeks I received my severance I have been waiting for assistance that is desperately needed.

Michael Garrett: Horrible experience, can't get my claim to go thru. Phone calls never answered. Michigan Works told me I did have it last year but never received a penny. Never got a letter or email. Now trying to get it this year is ten times worse cause no one can actually help you. So 2 years going back to back with no unemployment.

Zeena Jones: I've been trying to reach the agency for two weeks without any luck. While waiting to be connected to an agent on the phone, the automated system hangs up on me EVERY SINGLE TIME. I tried chatting with an agent through the website about 10 times over the course of 2 weeks and no agent is available even after waiting for hours to be connected to an agent.They didn't calculate income from my recent employer. My monetary determination protest has yet to be processed despite submitting multiple attempts to submit the protest online. Still have not received a single payment. This is the worst government agency I've ever dealt with. I'm pretty sure the entire agency shut down their office to take a vacation and tinkered with the phone system to hang up on every caller. So our tax dollar is going to a bunch of UIA employees who refuse to do their job. No accountability whatsoever!

There was not one person inside accept for the two security guards.I thought Michigan Unemployment was trying to clean up there record after it’s bad handling of COVID, they are doing a poor job addressing that.

Blakley Myler: I am not even trying to get paid by them…. I am trying to pay my insurance for my company. I have tried to submit my payments 3 times on their website and it never goes through. I’m sure the fees are stacking up while this is not working…. I am constantly locked out of my account, or login but have to confirm everything again and am then unable to proceed…. Ridiculous. I am a small business owner with one employee wondering if starting my own business was even worth it when I run into this kind of unprofessionalism.

keith samuels: Security guards would not let my spouse in with me. The purpose of the visit was to clarify issues that also involved my spouse. After he was told to leave the building, the female guard asked the male guard what the issue was and they had a good laugh RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. The government does not care about this, which is deplorable. I'm getting a lawyer.
