Kevin Ashbeck: This place is terrible. Don't stay here. I won't get into all the issues I had, but the carpet floors were WET. The key cards hardly work (you have to insert them often in excess of 8 or 9 times even after you get them reset by the front desk) there are gnats (some people say bedbugs but I just had gnats all the time), there are no amenities, and the wireless internet doesn't work a good portion of the time and when it does, it's horribly slow. The staff also does not care. I saw three guests who were extremely frustrated with various issues while I was in the lobby for various things, and each of them were turned away by the front desk for whatever reason.Also, the people who stayed next to me were fighting (calling each other fat, saying profanities, etc) and at all times of the day (including 2-6 AM on a Tuesday night!!) It was so bad I was afraid to tell the front desk due to my own safety based on what they were saying (and the front desk's unwillingness to help other guests with other issues).Don't stay here, please. There are plenty of other places in the area which are similarly priced which you can choose. Look at them first.

Christine Krumins: Full service hotel near funeral homeNoteworthy details: I had about two dozen guests coming into town for a funeral so I reserved the Dante room as a place for us to gather for food and fellowship. The room would have been better if it had at least a sink and maybe a fridge and/or microwave. The front desk staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I can't say enough about the kitchen in that we were allowed to store our luncheon leftovers in the walk-in freezer. However, the unfortunate situation was that they didn't have enough staff on Sunday morning so were only open for a few hours for take-out. Two other things worth noting - the pool was packed with kids and the entrance to the pool was right across from the Dante room; and the bereavement rate was higher than what people were able to find online. This was my second stay here in conjunction with a funeral and I would stay again.
Marissa Bolden: Hotel was very disgusting it was trash under my refrigerator and my air conditioner. I asked the front desk receptionist to have housekeeping come clean it, he said yes but no housekeepers ever came to clean it. I booked a king suite and the next morning when I tried to go get breakfast they said it wasn’t apart of my stay so I had to pay to eat breakfast, which is very unusual because I thought free breakfast came with your stay just like every other hotel does, so that was very weird. Their pool also closes at 9 so me and my spouse couldn’t even go for a late night swim even though we paid damn near $200 to stay in a king suite for one night. Last but not LEAST, the receptionists were so rude and didn’t care to accommodate me and my spouse requests. I usually love coming to hotels but because of my experience here I won’t be staying at another hotel for a while. So no swimming, no breakfast and my room was horrible. I truly regret staying here and if I could give this place negative stars I would. I literally would rather stay in a Red Roof Inn than stay at this horrible hotel. Please PICK ANOTHER HOTEL I BEG OF YOU.

Kris Amber: Came for a night away. The hotel is nice, needs some updates. I came during a city power outage so the hotel was booked up. My hallway smelled the whole night. Bathroom is very small. You have to make a $100 deposit which deposit are understandable but I’ve gone to nicer places and paid less in a deposit. Question would I come again, probably if I wasn’t paying or the price dropped.

A: Alright so I am actually quite surprised this hotel has just over 4 stars as a rating. I’m going to cut to the point of the positives and the negative I’ve experienced while staying here. First off, I had to switch the key card to my room a total of 5 times while staying here for 2 nights. They just randomly stop working and was forced to go to the front desk and get new ones each time. Next, the ice bin in the room was filled with used tissues from the previous people staying in the room. The bathroom has no ventilation so it gets super foggy while showering or even no exhaust when using the toilet. The bathroom also had a broken lock and and broken faucet in the bathtub. Not to mention the sink being outside of the bathroom and the one I had specifically had a faulty drain so it took a while for the water to go down. Woke up the first morning of my stay early since the lady at the front desk told us there was complimentary breakfast. Wrong. You have to pay for it. Not sure why I was told “complimentary”. The hallways seemed a little dirty on our floor as garbage would rarely be picked up off the ground. My room was not serviced once during my visit with no house keeping at all. No fresh sheets or fresh towels. Although I ran into issues, I will say the staff is polite and provide good customer service which is why I give 2 starts instead of 1.

Krystal Andrzejewski: Stayed with my daughter and a few friends for her birthday. Worst experience. We checked in late. The guy at the front desk Said he would keep the pool open a little longer for us to enjoy. That wasn’t the case. We were also told complimentary breakfast between 6-9am. NOPE! I had to call the front desk several times because the room next to us had a bunch of children screaming. I didn’t know if they were hurt or if there was a responsible adult. They were shaking our walls at 2-3 o’clock in the morning. The best they could do was knock of $20 for our experience. We couldn’t even get a roll away bed when we were told we would have one in our room. When we asked about it they acted like they didn’t know what a Cot was. This place doesn’t even deserve a 1 star. Worst experience ever!!!! Don’t come here.

michael Gravlin: When I booked my room I was told that there was Free Breakfast and that Pets were aloud. Upon checking in after a 12 hour drive, I was informed that there were in pets aloud and they did not serve breakfast anymore. So were do leave my dog and now have to search for a place to eat before I do my business in town. Terry Pack: I very nice hotel that I stay at during the week because I live out of the area but work in the area. The manager has been very fair with me and I cannot say enough good things about her except to say that she runs a very good hotel that is worth spending the night if you are in the area and need a place to stay. Since I am in a different room every week, I can say that most of the rooms I have stayed in have a bathroom that has a wall mount handheld shower head. This is something that you don't see in most hotels and it means that you can take the showerhead off the wall and wash yourself better than a showerhead that is just wall mounted. The hotel has 4 floors and there are 3 icemakers. The only floor that doesn't have one is the 2nd floor. So, you really don't have to go far for ice. The breakfast is a typical free hotel breakfast that will fill your stomach. You can get a waffle, eggs, sausage or bacon (depending on the day), yogurt, cereal, muffins, coffee, tea, orange juice, the list goes on. There is also a free USA Today if you like reading a newspaper. Also, there is a workout room for you to workout if this is important to you. Kudos to the manager, her front desk people, the people who clean the rooms, and the maintenance people for making my stay the reason why I keep coming back to my home away from home.

Smoke alarm hanging off the wall with plastic wrapped around it. When I brought it up the night attendant says oh they do that. I'm pretty confident that most of the reviews on their website have been paid for.

Thadine Kazmer: We stayed here with our cat while our floors were being refinished. The suite with a door between the bedroom and living room was great . The hotel is a little older and shows some wear but all in all was very nice and all the staff we met were very pleasant. It was a bit over the top noisy with parties on Friday nights but by 1 AM things settled down. I guess that has to be expected. I would stay again, that they allow up to 2 pets is a real plus.

Jo Singleton: We got a handicap assessable room it was disgusting. The room has mold, water damage, and the floors were so dirty!!!!! Our room key constantly doesn’t work. What’s scarier is that when you go to the desk to get a new key they don’t ask for ID or a name for who’s in the room, they just give you a new key. This is our third and LAST time staying at a Days Inn. We’ve stayed at 2 separate locations in the Detroit area while visiting in-laws. Both were terrible. We thought if we went further out they would be better. Wyndham should be ashamed having this location under their brand.

Jonas Marshall: I booked at this hotel because I was from out of town. I was allowed to book with my temporary papers with my face on it as well. I had an amazing stay. So I rebooked the hotel for a later date. They claim they can't take it and turned me away. I was stuck with nowhere to go and have to wait since I booked through a third party to get my money back.The room was renovated and I can say I had no problems with the room.

They have roaches and bed bugs. Management won’t check into any complaint. The rooms are super dusty and dirty. The toilets are broken. The pop machine is always empty. It took my money and the person at the front desk walked away in the middle of the complaint. This place is trashed and if it had an inspection it would be shut down.

Mark Thompson: This hotel should be torn down and rebuilt. The place says smoke free however hallways smell like a 90s dive bar. The floors are uneven and move under your feet. The floors in the room are the same. The room was 80% clean and the bed was the best feature of the whole room and stay. It was not worth $70 for the night I stayed there. I would never take my kids here.

Anne With an E: My family stays here almost exclusively or at one of it's nearby subsidiaries, when we visit Detroit. I think that we stayed here, five out of the past six times, within a year's time. Even last month, too.Food & drinks: National Coney Island all types of goodies getting stores are nearby. Walmart. Buscemi's. White Castle. Arbi's. Sit down family restaurants. Lots of pizzaria's! Many within walking distance.
greybeaver1: do not book or stay at this location. Staff are rude and racist. Its not worth the lower price to have to tolerate rude people at the counter. Told them to cancel my reservation and he said no problem. Got my driver's license back and left and checked in to Marriot Residence Inn. May cost a bit more but they were nice and welcoming with no condescending attitude. Rude and racist... beware.. Filed a complaint with customer service at Choice Hotels..

Breakfast was amazing they had pancakes, waffles, pork and turkey sausages, eggs, oatmeal, fruit, bagels, yogurt, cereal, muffins, orange juice, and apple juice. The only complaint I have is I could hear everything in the hallway and the room next to us.
