Pacific Rim By Kana: what do users think?
David Stielstra: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Thai-Style CalamariMore
Kelsey M: I was not impressed with the food here. I tried the peanut noodles and it lacked flavor so I notified the waitress and got something else. I also tried the spring rolls and passion fruit mousse and did not care for either one. Their dumplings were decent but overall I‘ve had much better food in other restaurants. For some reason this place is only open 4-5 hours a day for dinner.
S L: The food was good! It wasn’t “OMG AMAZING” but it was still enjoyable. My favorite dish was the Southeast Asian Crabcakes. The flavors were meshed together perfectly. We also had the five spice duck and the Japanese style Sablefish. Those both were okay. Maybe I was expecting more of the Asian flavor profile so I found it lacking. But I do recommend giving it a try!
Danielle Foor: The food is delicious as are the drinks. We defiantly will be back!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Grilled Prawns, Thai Peanut Noodles …More
Charles Huff: Great food and great service - excellent overallRecommended dishes Seared Sea Scallops, Southeast Asian Crabcakes, Japanese-Style Sablefish …More
Isaac Jason: Really amazing food, highly recommended Ann Arbor spot. Servers are friendly, wonderful cocktails, prices are reasonable!Recommended dishes Thai Bouillabaisse, Korean-Marinated Ribeye, Five-Spice Duck, Grilled Prawns, Tuna Tartare with Taro Chips, Unagi Terrine, Roasted Pork Belly …More
Wendy Zellers: We are so very happy that Pacific Rim made it through the pandemic! The food is delicious, the staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and the atmosphere is lovely.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Seared Sea Scallops, Korean-Marinated Ribeye, Wasabi-Peppercorn Tenderloin, Warm Chocolate Cake with Coconut Ice Cream, Coconut-Curry Soup …More
Louise Zrull: Sad experience for our first experience, majority of dishes were excellent, but wait staff rude, abrupt and not at a standard I would expect for such a venue. Made overall experience not good…
Dzmitry Halouchyts: This would be the very first place that I would recommend if my friend is asking for a special place to have a delicious dinner in Ann Arbor. The atmosphere is very-very nice and pleasant and food definitely worth to come for.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Monisha Encarnacion: Been around a long time and will be around a lot longer. Quiet and very classy would recommend reservations. Perfect date night.Recommended dishes Korean-Marinated Ribeye, Unagi Terrine …More
Namitha Srinath: I took a 5pm reservation for our family of 4 , with a request for 2 high chairs. We were greeted very warmly by the host, he even had the two high chairs set up for us in a nice corner of the restaurant. Being 5 pm, we beat the restaurant week traffic. The server was amazing. Polite, quick and accommodating. The food was fantastic. We had the pork belly for appetizer. The Korean inspired rib eye with quail eggs for main course. And shared a dessert of dark chocolate mousse with passion fruit sabayon sauce. Mouthwatering! Best service ever! They have nice individual restrooms. No diaper changing station but we didn't have an issue with that.
Elise Bancroft: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Marsha Langhorst: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Southeast Asian Crabcakes, Saigon Spring Rolls, Miso-Teriyaki SalmonMore
Laura: Innovative tastes. I like the salad which mixed many kinds of food especially like the nuts and pumpkins. Quite expensive even in restaurant week.
Jonathan Amos: Cocktails: 5/5Service: 5/5Starters (crab cakes and unagi): 4/5Mains: 2/5Overall, we had a nice night due to the great service, awesome cocktails, and delicious starters. We were both very underwhelmed by our main courses though. I had the sablefish and my husband had the lamb shank. Both of the proteins were COOKED well, but the flavor profiles were extremely one note and blah. With the sweetish sauce pictured drizzled all over the fish/veggies/rice, the entire dish tasted like the same flavor profile. Both the lamb shank and the sablefish needed some acid and heat to break up the flavors. This restaurant had been hyped up a lot by friends but the main courses were somewhat of a let down.
Trooper Long: The service here was top-notch. I enjoyed my three-course meal here, part of restaurant week.
Derek Gouin: Fantastic experience once again from the amazing staff at Pacific Rim. Always a lovely time.Four different entrées, four beautiful and delicious plates, expertly prepared, served by friendly and attentive staff, all amid the bustle of restaurant week.Great night out with friends!
Mukesh Nyati: Vegetarian options: Not too many but enough options to enjoyFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Coconut-Curry Soup, Thai Peanut Noodles …More
Mackenzie Byrne: Delicious food and cocktails! I got the seared tuna, which was wonderful and a very pretty plate. I also had the red viper drink, which was delicious. Habenero tequila was the perfect amount of heat. Our server was very informative and friendly.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Nana Ama Kwarteng Baryeh: The five spice duck is excellent!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Five-Spice Duck …More
Teresa Echols: The food is good, the drinks are good, and the service is good. Not my favorite place ever to eat but in the top 10 in Ann Arbor.

G W: Food was ok. Service by the first server was slim, but someone else took over and she was very good.Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Grace Su Ming: Great happy hour! The crispy ravioli is delicious. Wide selection of drinks. Staff were so friendly! Vegan and gluten free options.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Douglas T: Was suprised with the quality of the food. Fun place with a little history behind itFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Avin Vijay: Pretty underwhelming, especially for the price range.Ambience is quite good, and it seems like a good place to watch sports- so definitely a good place to catch an away match on a fall Saturday.Other than that, the food was quite underwhelming. The food options seemed to be thoughtfully curated based on the menu, but however, some of the signature dishes don't have it coming through when served on the plate.Drinks were moderately priced, and pretty watered down. In general, has to offer way less for the money.
Norbert Schneider: Overpriced pub food.A Facebook ad with great descriptions about their scallops made us believe they serve good food. What a disappointing experience. The scallops were luke warm, undercooked, garlic overloaded and 35$. The rigatoni was TV dinner quality. Everything overpriced.
Samantha Riga: Absolutely love this place!! The Bad Axe is the BEST burger in Ann Arbor area, not to mention Ashley is the greatest manager! Awesome atmosphere to watch any games!!
Mayra Rios-Benitez: A pity that we didn’t take pictures of our delicious dishes. I had the seared and roasted salmon, my husband had the Bad Axe Burger, and my niece had the Spanish octopus. They’re all savory, deliciously fantastic! It’s a noisy place but, hey, concentrate on savoring your food.
Devonairé LeSure (The Living Shadow): Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Ashley Baranski: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
David Gagnon: Pricey for basic bar food. Drink prices average. Very loud, especially on game days/nights. Speaker microphone combination very loud, hard to understand. Quite annoying. Needs to be addressed.
Michael Detmer: Great place for dinner, staff was very personableFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Charles Carlson: A Classic - Upscale pub food - Love the Cubano, Charlie Brown burger, the fish n Chips.... never had a bad dish here. Great service and clearly a chef that cares about the food. Awesomeness! Oh, and the best carrot cake on the planet!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Thomas Sanderson: 30 minutes to get a drink. 1 hour to get cold food. Terrible.
Christine Comer: I have to admit, this visit was not up to par. Service was great, as busy as it was, but the kitchen dropped the ball on our last minute table add... Big-time. My sense is that like all businesses, staffing is maxed and rushes are taxing, but this was a noticeable problem.Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Trish Meyer: Had a fabulous cafe lunch on their outdoor patio. The chef had one of the best appetizers of the tuna wonton - highly recommend. My blackberry drink was also amazing
M B: The Korean Short Ribs were awesome. For my entree I got the pasta which was so bland it wasn’t worth eating. The steak was mediocre. The rest of my table had the fish tacos and they said they were great.
KL ENZO: Excellent a sunny sunday to having a cup of coffee
christopher campagnari: A great place for a beer and a well done casual meal.
Anne Sales: We wanted to eat in downtown Ann Arbor because we were going to a show at the Ark. We arrived about 6:30, knowing it was a home game weekend. We weren't expecting the insane crowds of people eating out, coupled with low staffing at many of our formerly favorite places to eat. We finally moved further north on Main Street and saw that Diamond Jim's didn't have a crazy crowd so we decided to try our luck. It was a great choice. We sat at the bar and had the friendliest and best service we've had in quite a while from Ashley and Andreos. The food came quickly and was delicious. The salad was excellent, followed by our mains-- mine salmon while my husband had the whitefish. Both were great. We shared a dessert. The dragons sangria was truly wonderful. Strongly recommend!
Cody Cooper: Excellent burger! We told our waitress we were in a slight hurry to catch a concert and they definitely accommodated!
