A bank staff sat with me thru process.I have been trying to wire money to my brother and the wired funds have been reversed each time, despite personal help at the bank.Today I contacted customer services (Ohio?) and I was kept waiting a long time. Two people tried to help me but they did not have the information and kept transferring me to other staff. I planned to transfer more funds to Chase.
Nishil Talati: Had excellent transaction with Sibel. They are very welcoming, we had very nice conversation. Everything went extremely smooth.
Barbra Wells: A branch manager can set the tone for a local bank, even when it's part of a giant financial system like Chase. Unfortunately, Amy Sobas has made it difficult for her team at the Plymouth Road branch to treat customers with personal care. In my case, both of my parents died early in the pandemic. When a tax lien was erroneously levied against my account this year, Ms. Sobas explained that I had failed to send their death certificates to all of the right places. Instead, I had only brought the certificates to her branch. Now I know! I should have submitted them to Chase Mortgage and Decedent Processing as well. Then I should have advised my branch to remove my parents from the account. Ms. Sobas not only taught me this important lesson, but she also showed me that it's time to change banks. Her failure to offer compassion or assistance cost me weeks of worry and effort. Fortunately, the Michigan Department of Treasury came to the rescue! (There's a phrase I never expected to utter!) It was easier to get help from the tax authority than from bankers down the street.

Sebastian Nugroho: Not helpful. I tried to add one of my family member into our account but one of the officer turned us away. They said we need to bring this and that. I came to another branch in the south of Ann Arbor the next day and guess what? they could do exactly what I requested without any hassle. I don't know what's wrong with this branch. I won't come to this place again. It's not worth it.
Adrian Platts: After several years of banking at this branch I discovered that they had entered my social security number incorrectly when the account was set up. This of course isn't great for your credit rating :( Several other issues have cropped up with this branch and folks biking or walking should note that it doesn't have a lobby ATM.

James Dubinsky Jr: Went in there looking to talk with a private client banker and was questioned how I know about it and then if I was in it... I had to explain to the greeter that I was in the program and needed to take care of business issues. Then I was asked why I didn’t go to my assigned banker. This went on and on for several minutes. I get you need to screen a little but for the love of god just help someone with their needs. I’ll be leaving chase based on this experience.

I had started the application online and so there were some problems getting the info from there to transfer over. Diana was very patient and super nice. She even followed up with me a few weeks after to see how everything was going and know whether I had any problems with my account. Overall great customer service and great location to bank at.
Grigorios Stamatopoulos: You have to show ID to deposit money... This is ridiculous. Their excuse is that the government tells them they have to but I have bank accounts at other banks and they have never even mentioned this.

daniel morton: Despite multiple phone calls and in person visits, we were unable to setup a simple check scanner for our business in 2 months. Chase has many departments all of which operate separately. Very time consuming and unfortunately unsuccessful.

Ian Stirton: If you’ve been a victim of fraud this isn’t the spot to go. My paperwork wasn’t processed correctly and I’ve been essentially without a bank account for a month.They let me open an account, put all my money in it, then put a hold on my account because the fraud claim I made wasn’t processed at all, and they haven’t offered to pay any of the late fees I incurred.Trying to open an account here was easily the worst financial decision I’ve made.

Ray Gillespie: Worst bank I've done business with. Im here dropping off a deposit from work and been in the drive-thru for over 20m now for around $100 in cash. After 15m they say we need your ID. For what? Im making a deposit and not taking any money back out. So 25m in total for a small deposit.
Keri Elrich: Never go here if you have a situation of fraud.. My friend had all her information, including account numbers, debit card numbers and the CCV, and online information stolen by her ex. She had unauthorized charges that were made by debit card through the exs paypal. The banker (we couldn't get her name but she's older, short dirty blonde hair, and maybe Russian or something) told my friend they will block the card so he not make anymore purchases... to which we replied again informing her that he had everything saved on his phone. She still kept saying nothing could happen when in fact due to the way her account was set up, continuous charges can still be made without funds in the account. She wouldn't let my friend create a new account either because it was okay the way it was. Which its not and that completely angers me! I myself work at a financial institution, granted things are different, it's still a similar process when handling fraud. I tried explaining that her ex has every single thing on his phone and only blocking a card won't help. She got louder with me and said "I am not talking to you, I am talking to her!" I understood and never even asked for any information myself, I was trying to get her to understand he literally had everything besides a debit card number. I was there for support and to help her explain her case. In the end the banker did everything I said would need to happen before we got in there. Chase obviously does not care about their people or their customers finances, she did not want to help my friend from the second we walked in. That is a sad excuse for a banking institution. Bank where the institution cares about you.
W Li: Location is a charm, I went there with fully high expectation, which turned out to be my worst experience of all time. Mirela Fodor, the officer, "welcomed" me with a poker face and cold voice. Without any kindness or etiquette, literally asked me a few questions and ended the conversation. I will never forgot her disdainful expression, and this is faaaaar away from the Chase service criteria. I'm a customer not a prisoner, I don't need a supreme service but at least politeness should be demostrated. I'm glad that I went to another Chase in downtown Ann Arbor, only took ten minutes to fix my issue and the officers there were so nice.

While I have come here once before at a very busy time of day and had to wait a while at the drive-thru ATM due to a lack of available tellers working, I still come here often to use the convenient drive-thru and/or walk-up ATM; Other than the one time, the ATM is always very quick and easy to use! I’ve also been inside twice for more personal banking needs. Each time, the bank tellers and (specifically) Private Client Banker Jonathan Carey, with whom I’ve worked on both occasions, have exhibited very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly customer service. I would recommend this branch (and Chase Bank in general) to anyone and everyone - they truly treat you well here. I will be coming back!
Tianshu Qu: I'm only reviewing this place because I saw that one star review being the only one so far, and I think it's unfair. This branch might not be perfect but certainly deserves a better rating. Hence the five star to balance out the one star. To be objective, I think it should be 3.5 to 4 star. The hours are convenient, the staff are friendly, and there are of course times when they don't know how to solve some issues, but I guess that's more of a problem with the banking system.

Julia Goode: I was just treated horribly at the Westgate branch by a banker who did not identify himself. The tellers have always been nice there. He refused to notarize something for me and refused to tell me why and then practically pushed me out of the office.
Richard Wallace: I have been to this Chase location 3 or 4 times since Covid began, and the first few were fine, with everyone following safe practices. This past Tuesday, however (Dec. 1), a Chase employee was not wearing a mask, thereby endangering all customers and co-workers. Unfortunately, I did not notice this employee until I had been there about ten minutes and was right in the middle of a transaction with a personal banker. When this banker returned, I mentioned the problem with the employee in the Chase Private Client office (about 20 feet from us), who was not wearing a mask, had his office door open, and was talking on the phone (talking projects airborne droplets and the virus, if present). Fortunately, our banker's return ended our transaction, and we left. I have tried to find a state or city office to report this violation but so far have not found the right place. If it happens again, I will more aggressively confront the offender and call the AA police. Meanwhile, Chase should fire this employee immediately (white guy with a beard who works from the Private Client office at Westgate at least one day a week).

Tiahna Pantovich: This is not only the worse Chase bank I have ever been to, but the worst bank in general! I've seen the general manager, Kevin, yell at a FedEx worker. I've gone to the ATM to draw money, had it taken out of my account, then get a receipt from the ATM saying "unable to dispense money." I'll be going to the one at the corner of Packard and stadium from now on. An extra five minute drive to save myself the headache.

K. Kentala: If I could leave a zero I would! Chase is the bank of the worlds scammers and frauds. They allowed my 71 year old father to continually be scammed by fake LLCs that have accounts held at their institution. If you ask them how this happened, they’ll hang up on you , as it appears they like to harbor thieves. I would never own a Chase acct if you paid me.

Timothy Nutt: I have been banking with Chase for almost 25 years and I was so disappointed to see they took out the teller stations in the main lobby. So now if you physically want to deposit your money there is only one teller in the back. There is longer lines and Chase is trying to make us use the ATM. This is another example of Chase choosing profit over the customer. I wish I could give Chase 5 negative stars. This move shows that they don't care about the customer and I am thinking of closing my accounts.

I love that I can take a picture of a check to deposit it, even a check from my Ohio account when this account gets low. Get cash back, at no charge, locally. I check my balance online every other day, also free. I rarely go to a branch since they have made it possible to do everything online. They are always current with innovation.. the newest is Zelle.UPDATE: Just registered my SS from my Ohio account to Chase here in Michigan. Easy peasy......the desk person did it all on line. 5 minutes!
Wallace Hopp: I spent 3 hours opening a small business checking account. Apparently they had computer problems. Okay, it happens. The next day they mailed my materials to the business I was buying rather than the address I gave them for the account. Okay, we're all human. A couple of days later they called me to say that they needed me to come back in re-sign one of the forms. Getting frustrated. But I went back in and signed. Finally a few weeks later I went to the bank to make a deposit. They couldn't take it because my account was locked. Apparently they needed yet another form signed. I would have to wait two more business days and go back in to make the deposit. Furthermore, they could not give me the $20,000 I gave them to open the account back until they processed the signature and opened my account. You read this correctly. They were not able to open a simple checking account in a month, despite repeated attempts, but could not return my money. The people in the bank apologized nicely. But I don't need apologies. I need a bank and Chase is not one. So I went 200 ft down the road and opened an account at PNC. What a nightmare!
