Ann Arbor Coffee Roasting Company: what do users think?
Rosee: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Nutri Steph: ☕️🥥 Coconut latte for the win, friendly service, nice vibe.
Mengcheng Guo: I really wanted to run out with one of their kettles. I got a bag of their decaf coffee beans. They’re okay
Andy Viana: Nice big space with plenty of seating. Cold brew is good
Emily Fae: Yummy espresso and great atmosphere!Only problem was that they charge too much for add-ons and there’s minimal seating.
M S: Most of the baristas here are pretty good. Usually I never wait too long, never get a bad drink. One legitimate complaint I have is related to the amount of seating. I get that this is meant to be a very clean and simple interior, but for the casual passerby, it can be pretty tough to grab a seat during the afternoon or on the weekend because of so many people sitting and studying. There is seemingly a good amount of space for additional seating throughout the space, but I could be wrong.
Mouna Somaiah: As an introvert, I love their consoles where I can personalize my coffee without explaining to the barista. Their coffee is one of the best I have tasted in town. I like their minimalistic decor as well.
Xiao Meow: Ok quality. Not unique quality though
Kk Maple: They. Are really nice, I was up here for my model un conference and they just make my day
Caitlin Schreuder: Coconut creme latte is delicious!
Raymond Levine: Superb food and service to match. Bella, Lauren, and Dahvi are an exemplary team. Most pastries are made on site, and those that aren’t were locally made. They were excellent in accommodating my allergy (detailed separately) and the whole experience was pleasantly low-stress. The scone I had was fresh out of the oven: lively fruit that wasn’t overbearing, a light pastry with satisfying crumble. This is a can’t miss if you’re passing through!Dietary restrictions: Staff here are meticulous, knowledgeable, and prompt in providing allergy information. I have a corn allergy - a tricky one to accommodate. They knew the ingredients of pastries made in-house and were candid when they did not know. They were clear about cross-contamination. They offered to prepare food separately to accommodate me. And they were infinitely patient in fielding ingredients questions. People with food allergies can feel confident eating here.
Vaishnavi Katta: Not a bad coffee shop to sit and study. I got a matcha latte and it was pretty good. I like the 2000s throwback music that plays, but I do wish there were more seats.Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Kaitlyn Ender: Excellent coffee! A bit pricey but very good quality. Love the honey cinnamon latte. Staff is very kind as well!
Andy Weng: Joy is my favorite barista. She deserves a raise for all the hard work she puts into making my drinks I am always satisfied with the drinks she makes me
Marc-Grégor Campredon: The staff is super kind. The coffee is actually good. Like many other place in Ann Arbor, this is a good alternative to the big brand. The atmosphere is really nice and totally contrast with Espresso Royal.A very good spot in that corner of the campus.
Julie McLaughlin: Great drip coffee! But not much food. Friendly staff.Food: 2/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
James Douglas: Came back recently and the place was dirty tables not wiped and trash overflowing. Staff was rude when I asked questions about the coffee like they didn’t know the answers or care to check. Pastry’s where over cooked and when I got a new one it was stale like it was a few days old. I’m not sure what changed recently but if I come back again and I get the same treatment then it will be my last.
Mark-Anthony Lingaya: Love the outdoor seating during the warmer months. The oatmilk match latte is a must-try!
Allan Engler: Great coffee shop to stop in for a drink and snack. Coffee was fresh and very good
정규화: 커피맛이 괜찮습니다

Max Monegan: Quick and friendly service with medium- dark espresso roast (a rarity in AA).Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Nicholas Squeteri: Don't get me wrong, it's aesthetic, but that' all it has to offer. I got a chai tea latte, a green tea, and a strawberry and cheese croissant, and I was nothing but underwhelmed.
Shreyasi Datta: Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More

Vance Heistand: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Marc-Grégor Campredon: Great update from espresso royal as it feels more modern and comfy.Price tag feels a little high but probably true to the market..staff is kind, fast and helpful.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
mikayla peterson: M-36 is great! I love the basement study space and their lavender matcha. The only thing I’d wish for is more gluten free snack/food options!
Yosselin Zavala: Bagels are absolutely perfect! I’m a New Yorker and these bagels are so much better! Thank you.
Jomo Mason: I love going to M-36 Coffee Roasters Cafe and getting their scones and breakfast sandwiches with a vanilla latte.
Rudraj Koppikar: Love the Americanos here, and the Turkey Pesto Sandwich is to die for. I've never not found seating even at peak hours thanks to the basement space.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Vaishnavi Katta: The atmosphere is alright. I like the more industrial look and the basement is spacious. I wasn't a huge fan of the music playing though and my coffee tasted burnt and chemically. Not the place for me unfortunately.Food: 1/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Pipperoni: The coffee is overpriced and super bitter, the only nice thing about this place is its convenience. If you have a dining plan just get coffee from the dining hall
Sarah Frank: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Sarah Douglas: Spicy grilled cheese and bourbon barrel latte with vanilla are my favorite. Fast and friendly.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Christopher Schlosberg: I’ve been ordering my beans from here for years and they are always fresh and delicious. The shipping is fast and the prices are great for the quality I get. Can’t recommend M36 enough
Mark Fertig: Latte and Chai Latte were very good, and quickly prepared. Ordering is a bit a chaotic - just not organized, with no clear flow. Two different stations - open? Not open? People behind us in line being serviced by someone at a station which was unstaffed a minute ago. Not a big deal, but could be so much more efficient.
Maggie Sterling: Great staff and customer service, but I just had a latte that tasted extremely burnt/bitter. I added vanilla and oat milk so that was really surprising.

Vertex Coffee Roasters: what do users think?
Michael Youngblood: Okay so I'm really not a coffee person so take this review has a full tablespoon of salt, but this is the best coffee shop in Ann Arbor. The ambiance, the staff, the plants, the merch, the board games, the seating area, this is what Ann Arbor is all about. Great quality food with a focus on creating an overall experience and just being wonderful all around. And as a bonus, the non-coffee drinks I've had here, from teas to their hot chocolate, are delicious. 10/10
Jamie: like the taste of coffee, friendly people and cozy interior
Amanda Bashi: Delicious coffee. Very friendly staff. Not a lot of inside seating, but a big patio when it's nice out.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Trey Cook: Good coffee, outdoor seating... Unfortunately in a very noisy part of town.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
David Sayah: This is a boho little café with some greenery and indoor & outdoor seating options. My guest and I ordered the lemon bar latte and berry mocha and we each tried both. SO good, both of them were so flavorful and prepared beautifully with the colorful edible glitter latte art. The atmosphere is very small but nice for summertime. The service was super helpful and sweet as well. Definitely intend to return!Parking: Street parking closeby!
Elijah Grubbs: Got the chai and and the cafe miel. For the price the amount we got was a little on the low side. The cafe miel was pretty good, but the chai tasted flat
Mohammed (Mo): Great coffee.. got a large latte extra hot.. recommend the outside chairs.. little noisy but nice 👍
Josiah Bruner: Very high quality coffee (the roastery clearly does an excellent job) and drinks were made well (on par with places like Roos Roast and Hyperion). The baristas were friendly and knowledgable.Main con is that the store location is nearby some frat houses so the chance of loud... ambiance... Is quite high. Generally not a problem, but can make reading or studying hard.
Notyour Business: Great staff and my 420 nutella latte was delish with a little cinnamon on top 😋Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Charles Carlson: Perfect! Amazingly warm n tranquil lil corner location to hang n enjoy some time with friends n a cuppa joe. "Ya know, this is a damn fine cup of coffee" ~ Twin PeaksService: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Shreyasi Datta: How can some place be so perfect? It's just awesome. I have tried many drinks, and everytime, every single time I was extremely happy. I think it's the best in Ann Arbor. ☺️ ❤️Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Will Brawley: Very friendly staff, great treats, and delicious lattes. 😋
Mariko Ito: The coffee is always delicious, the staff are always friendly, and I love everything they stand for!!You’ll never go wrong with any menu item here
Lillian Hazel Pearce: Great coffee!!! I prefer their iced drinks over their hot drinks, though. Also, it’s always SUPER warm inside… so if you run hot, be ware!
Josh Long: Awesome little shop with delicious and strong cofffe and a few delectable baked goods standard coffee shop fare but so yummy. Tried a wake and bake latte for the hash bash event and a salted caramel macaroon both were amazing.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Kaylyn Campos: My favorite thing about Vertex is their coffee flights. Sometimes, I just don't know what I want, and Vertex solves that problem for me! I can get 4 (smaller sized) drinks and have it all. The espresso is rich, smooth, and delicious. I haven't had a drink that I disliked. My favorite drink is the chai. Their pastries are also great. I was happy to see that they offer gluten free goodies so that my partner with Celiac disease could enjoy them. The staff members are always nice. I love that the outdoor seating has heat lamps when it's cold outside, especially since there's not a ton of indoor space. It's a great coffee shop to go if you want to try a bunch of different drinks or are indecisive like me. I wish more places did coffee flights.
Aniket: Best coffee in town. Try cappuchino with whole milk and top it up with brown sugar and a hint of cinamonn. I was awestruck by the freshness of the beans. They roate bean flavors. The cafe itself is very sustainable and reuses cutlery like stirrers etc. There is inside and outdoor seating available.Recommended dishes Coffee Flights …More
Isabella W: Cute and quirky. Good atmosphere. Would love to have more comfortable seating and more options for tea drinkers. 👍
lana: yummy lattessss

Mighty Good Coffee Roasting Company: what do users think?
Katharine Morrow: I visited this coffee shop today for the first time. The coffee was really good and the business seems lovely, but the short barista with a small face tattoo or another employee stole my credit card information while I was in the bathroom. There were no other customers in the store during this time so I know that it was one of them. I had placed my wallet in my backpack when I went to the bathroom, but my wallet was outside of my backpack when I returned from the bathroom and my credit card was in the wrong place. An hour after this incident, there was $2,400 worth of charges on my credit card. I was really disappointed at this incident as I had heard only good things about this place. The incident happened on 1/19/2023 around 9:40am if the company has security cameras and would like to check them.
lesse e: Excellent oatmilk cappuccinos, and an awesome slice of pumpkin chocolate cake.
Samantha Rose: Such a lovely little place! Welcoming and friendly barista and yummy coffee:) They let me use my own cup as well! would definitely recommend!
Joshua Adams: I recently had the pleasure of being offered a sample of the Black Diamond at Meijer Midtown Market in Lansing. This is legit the best, smoothest and least acidic coffee I have ever tried. Thank you!
Judy Wismont: Love the people who work here. :)
Tyler: Great staff that will make you great coffee!
Laura Gurney: Visited for the first time this week and loved it! They DO have mighty good coffee! 😃 We got pour overs and loved them. Our barista was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. He made our visit a highlight of our day in Ann Arbor. Will definitely go again! 😊Second visit this week. Pour overs were not as great this time, but still good.
Judith Wismont: It is "mighty good coffee." :)
M B: I love MGC! My unit received a care package from Mighty Good Coffee when we were deployed to Afghanistan in 2008, and I have been ordering and enjoying their coffee ever since. I'm currently stationed in Germany, and I'm so pleased that they ship to APO addresses. Loyal MGC fan! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Rahil Ginwala: Mighty Good Coffee indeed!!
Joe Hood: Super friendly and happy
Scott E: There are a lot of bagged roasts to go. Nitro on tap was great.
John Bogdasarian: Small pour over with a shot! Excellent. For the record, the place on Washtenaw was a franchise - that’s where the employee problems were - and it’s closed now. Main St is limited hours but MGC has the best beans in town. Espresso 46 is excellent!
Charles Carlson: Mighty good coffee ☕ indeed!
john kaminski: Purchased a bag of whole bean "smoking joe" very light beans, very weak coffee. Will not buy again.
Larry Mayotte: True to its name, they brew some mighty good coffee. Not a place you're going to get a "fast" cup of coffee from, but, mighty good coffee, isn't fast.I can highly recommend the Ethiopian small batch pour over. 👍
steve gladstone: My wife and I stopped in Ann Arbor halfway home from a trip to northern Michigan. We were looking for a good cup of coffee and came upon Mighty Good Coffee. We were so disappointed when we tried the door and found it locked. We then were standing on the sidewalk searching our phones for another coffee shop nearby. We heard a voice from behind us asking if we wanted beans or coffee. The kind gentleman whom we didn't even notice as being inside had seen us outside and had unlocked the door. He explained that the shop had closed at 2 (it was then about 3:15) but invited us in and offered to fix us a coffee to go, with several coffees to select from. We made our choice and were not at all disappointed. The coffee was delicious. Just as meaningful for us was the kindness of his opening the shop just for us. We don't get to Ann Arbor that often but this will always be a stop for us when we do. I should add that we purchased a bag of coffee beans and have been enjoying Mighty Good coffee at home. And we have signed up for the newsletter and intend to order beans from the shop. Just a wonderful experience.
Jennifer Mcvay: It's just OK. I felt like the beans were a bit over roasted and most had a burnt taste. We tried several different kinds, so it seems like in general they are just over roasted.
M.K.: It was my first time at this coffee shop and tried a latte. Highly recommend if you are looking for quality coffee.
Bruce Geffen: It's good and comfortable inside.
Marianna Hagler: How do you sleep at night knowing that your coffee tastes like weak trashwater....

Grace Hsia Haberl: LOVE LOVE LOVE their coffee. They are some awesome guys roasting delicious (well-sourced) coffee. It has been amazing to smell some of what they're roasting and try some of the coffee and espresso. If you have the chance to schedule a taste testing, definitely do so.
Joshua Banner: These guys got it going on. Just launched and the ethiopain bean, swaddled hound, is as good as any other boutique I've ever brewed at home. And their design...so fun and smart.

RoosRoast Coffee: what do users think?
Alicia Schmidt: I work in one of the businesses nearby, so I've been going to this RoosRoast location for a couple of years. I had to make a review just to emphasize how much of a grown jewel this coffee shop is on Ann Arbor's crown. The coffee is superb, the employees are such a delight, and the aesthetic is awesome! I love that so many different people get together here: families, college students, and everything in-between. A lovely place indeed.
Dottie: I love coming to the Rosewood location versus Liberty as it is quieter, easier to park, and you have more room outside to sit and enjoy the weather (no matter even if it is raining) & your coffee. There are 3 sizes to the cappucino now for everyone’s needs - the small, the next size up from the traditional, is like a latte but with a stronger coffee flavor. They use Calder’s dairy and Oatly for oat milk - the best brands for dairy and a milk alternative in my opinion. You can taste the difference! The baked goods are consistently delicious - a little on the pricey side which is why I would give 4 stars but 5 stars for taste! I like that they rotate bakeries as well. The staff are kind & friendly - I’ve never had a bad experience. I like that I can ask them how they are and that they do the same - even if it’s a busier day. Those little moments of connection are precious and have helped me through some challenging times & this place was a source of comfort where I could escape. It’s quirky, eco-friendly, and yummy. If you come to AA, you have to make a stop here!
Eric Stuard: My favorite coffee on the face of this planet 🌎 (go visit!!). Always friendly, inclusive, and delicious. Eddie Smith: Great coffee shop with wonderful atmosphere, drinks, and service. The wait is usually short, and the service is usually great. We have enjoyed coffees from here dozens of times and the only service issue we ever had was with the staff mistakenly making a decaf latte with fully caffeinated espresso beans. However, this only happened once, and they were happy to remake the drink. There is also a delicious local candy vendor here called J. ppr 007: Zingerman's Coffee House is like the superhero of breakfast spots, with toast so good you'll want to put a ring on it and coffee so happy it could power a city. But don't worry if you're not a coffee person - their smoothies are like a refreshing dip in a pool on a hot summer day. And the staff? They're so friendly, they could charm the stripes off a zebra. So if you want to be part of the cool crowd, swing by Zingerman's Coffee House for a breakfast experience that will make you feel like a superhero too.And let's talk about the tea selection at Zingerman's Coffee House. It's like a box of chocolates, but instead of chocolates, it's a diverse and flavorful range of teas that will make your taste buds dance. And don't even get me started on the pastries. They're like sweet little bites of heaven, made with the same dedication to quality and freshness as their toast and coffee. Trust me, Zingerman's Coffee House is the whole package - toast, coffee, tea, and pastries - all served up with a side of humor and charm.

Loved the combination and also the roasted coffee smell at the cafe.Loved the fact that they served kid sized tumblers with warm milk so that they too could experience the café atmosphere with the adults.A great place to visit for a chat with friends and family if you’re in the vicinity of University of Michigan. 🤩 will be back for sure!!!Kid-friendliness: They had small coffee tumblers that they served warm milk 🥛 for kids 🤩 it was so cool that they could enjoy the coffee atmosphere with the adults.
Amy Courtney: Good espresso drinks and pour overs plus delicious pastries. Cute location in the arcade.
Amazing T. S.: spunky and rad cafe in a snug spot.
Shreyasi Datta: I think even my department's almost free coffee tastes better than this place. On top of that it is very expensive! I also had a chocolate croissant and that was horrible too. I don't see the point of going there again. What's up with you guys, seriously! Only good thing about this cafe is its location.
Yu-Chien Sun: 推!Ann Arbor 必喝
Rahaf Alharbi: Comet is my favorite coffee shop in Ann Arbor!I love to start my mornings with their dolce latte which is just perfect. It is not too sweet at all. Lately, I've been switching to oat milk and it still great. I love their pastries as well. The chocolate croissant is delicious. The The outside seating is amazing!
Rafael Santos: You won't find a place in AA that puts more love, care, and attention into every cup than here. There's a lot of fantastic coffee around here, but if you are looking for a coffee experience that takes it to the next level, look no further.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jeremy: Yes, yes, Y-E-S! Let’s gooo, this is it for coffee. This small and charming spot never fails to deliver on great coffee, espresso, etc. I always make the long, sorrow trek across the vast expanse of campus to seek out that wonderful cappuccino.Recommended dishes Pour over Coffee, Cappuccino & Brownie, Cortados N Brownie, Cortado & Brownie …More
Ava Chatlosh: My favorite coffee shop!! The coffee is always delicious, the service is great, and the latte art is gorgeous. Great place to talk with friends or do work.
Google Account: Nice quaint place with soft music but average coffee.I ordered the dulce coffee which is priced at $5. I liked the coffee art on it but the coffee itself was average at best.
Arash Yunesi: Cozy little place for coffee lovers. If you are as geeky as us about real coffee and fine pour overs this place is the perfect spot for you. The pour over we tried was the best I have tried in the US. Very smooth and flavorful. The staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about coffee and eager to help you out or just chat about coffee aromas and origins.

Shannon Gibbons: 5 STARS! Best staff, ample seating, insane breakfast burritos, the ability to switch from coffee to beer by happy hour, online ordering when needed, and GREAT COFFEE. They recently hosted a BINGO night with affogatos, a cocktail/mocktail menu, and a great moderator- such a fun date night!
Ashlee Goovaerts: Come here quite often to work or hang out with friends. The vibe is perfect! The service is fabulous and the coffee is incredible 🤤 They even hosted a Bingo night last night and it was such fun - with delicious affogatos included! msbionikaa: So, this is the best european standards breakfast I’ve had in A2. Normal sized portions, high quality healthy ingredients, reasonable prices, modern vibes. But more importantly, the taste! The food is outrageously good. And the pour over coffee is an actual specialty kind, not just the “wana-seem-specialty-but-still-your-regular-cheap-kind” that they offer in pretty much any expensive trendy coffee shop in town.
Angela H. Chih: Great coffee and atmosphere!Recommended dishes Queen Bee Latte, Corned Beef Hash Sandwich, Pour over Coffee …More
Cindy M: The best thing about this place is the atmosphere!! It's tucked away off of Jackson Rd and was very busy for the location, but not overwhelming at all. The outdoor area is so welcoming and even dog friendly!! What a great place to go to and catch up with a friend, on a beautiful day!! I had a refreshing blackberry iced tea that was really good! I would definitely recommend because of their set up. They also had indoor sitting areas, as well. Very cool place!!
ruby somers: This is my favorite coffee shop in all of michigan! It has a lovely atmosphere with even more lovely staff. The drinks are all amazing and the food is top tier. I forgot his name but it was something with an m and he made the best loaded tots ive ever had. Definitely a shop worth visiting
Avram Liebowitz: Very cool and fascinating establishment! Great place to grab a coffee or a beer! Unique style and location, very clean all the way around.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Leela Aiyagari: I’ve been going to Dozer for over a year now and I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff, the vibe, the coffee, the pastries, everything is wonderful. The environment is great for studying in, and the drinks are delicious. The whole staff is incredible but a special shout out to Davied and Emily whom I’ve come to know as truly wonderful human beings. Whether you’re a townie or just visiting this place is a must
Maggie Stansley: The coffee, food and location are spectacular but it’s the staff that really make Dozer a wonderful place!!Kid-friendliness: My husband and I LOVE bringing our children here for coffee and breakfast on the weekends. The staff there are absolutely amazing and always so sweet to our kids! Ann Arbor is lucky to have a spot like this!! #dozercoffeeforever
Ziggy Gottlieb: Dozer is always amazing! I am there probably too much for my wallet, but it's worth it. The coffee is always great, the food is delicious, and they are always making new and fun things. Also the staff go above and beyond to be kind and get to know their customers. Never had a bad experience.
Megan Lane: Dozer is a great place for working on the weekdays and hanging out on the weekends. We love their specialty lattes, drip coffee (we like Point Nothing), and a variety of baked goods and special order items.
Marnie B: I've been coming here since they first opened and it's one of my favorite coffee shops in Ann Arbor. The staff is very friendly and kind. There is ample parking, ample seating (inside and outside), a great ambience, and the coffee is high quality. My fave drinks to get here are a pourover and their ganache mocha.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Pour over Coffee Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More

Rian Hill: Absolutely lovely place! The atmosphere is quiet, but a light and airy kind that just makes you feel good. The coffee was good, but I am noticing a trend throughout the small shops I visit of there being a slightly burnt taste, is very dark roast just a preference here in MI? The BART tots were also delicious if a bit greasy, save those tomatoes for a palate cleanser 😆! Or have some water on your person 😄. The carrot muffin was divine and totally worth every cent! My only regret is that I couldn't try all the baked items at once, but that is what future visits are for. A bit more on the spendy side, but it is a more upscale place and I think they do fairly well matching size to price, even if it is the high end of the price scale 😉. 9/10 would recommend.Dietary restrictions: A little bit limited on the alternative kinds of milk, but oat is a good cover-all for most coffees. I do prefer almond for mochas, as its consistency is closer to dairy, but I got a latte and so oat was perfectly fine

K Bro: Obscene price for the coconut drink. I was visiting from New York and paid 8 dollars for an iced drink. It wasn’t tasty at all so I asked for a regular iced latte. They took the drink back and made me pay for a new drink. The iced latte tasted really bitter and watered down. My husbands regular hot latte was okay. Not going there again.
BillionaireFaith: Best blueberry Latta I have ever had. 😋
Pannaphat Scott: Great place to have some nice coffee and relaxed vibe in the morning. I come here several times for my favorite breakfast its a Turkey Panini I got to say this got me hook! 🍞🥐☕️ I will keep come back to check out other menu as well 😸 but overall this place is great and chill~Ps. My drink in the pictures is “Earth day matcha Latte” 🌎🍃 I’m not sure if this will be seasonal drink or all time but you should try if you like matcha
Eddie Smith: Delicious coffee, good service, clean restrooms, and a great facility... except for parking :/Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options available.

Moushumi Mookerjee: Wonderful blue foam coffee. The ginger flavored cone was unique and delicious....never had before. However did not give full points on the service ...because the barista went away chatting with another person while I stood there waiting for my order. Everyone else was served. Since nothing was mentioned on why mine took so long . .I have to call it out.

Melanie Eccles: Beautiful lattes and the most knowledgeable coffee baristas and roasters!
Theodore Greenfelder: Great coffee in the shop and great beans for at home.
Arielle 9892: I love going to Black Diesel, the staff is always super friendly, and clearly knowledgeable about their products. They always have some sort of tasty seasonal drinks, and I love that they have a little plant shelf to buy new plants from!
Dillon Taylor: Vegetarian options: Vegetarian, vegan, and GF optionsParking: If the shared lot in front is full, there's another lot behind the building. Street parking 2 blocks awayWheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk ramp and handicap parking spot, manual door
Kevin Bohannon: $3.75 for a 12 oz black coffee from a carafe?I'm not sold. It's easily the most expensive non-pour-over brewed coffee I've had in Washtenaw County. You should be way more upfront about why what you're serving is special. Like, $2 of that better have gone to a farmer in Ethiopia. It tastes fine, but not $0.33 an ounce fine.Edit: First, I said your coffee tasted fine. The negatives in my review were about price and your business's story telling. Maybe if you, oh, I dunno, had prices on your menu I wouldn't have been so put off. I'm giving you a customer perspective. That said, I literally have a spreadsheet of coffee prices in Ann Arbor. I'd share it with you, but I'm not running your coffee business for you. Here's one piece of data: the next highest price I've paid for a cup of drip coffee is $3.50 for a 20oz at Ann Arbor Roasting Company. Are you telling me that every high quality coffee shop in A2 isn't making money selling coffee? I'll even give the benefit of the doubt that black coffee is a loss leader. But then you are leading with the lowest loss I've seen around.Your business is failing at telling the story of your coffee... even on your website. That story is part of being "third wave" lol. If you aren't making money on coffee maybe you should move your business somewhere with lower rent or chose a different business model. As it stands, I'd say you're a just profiteer of the New Ann Arbor™
Wayne Nesmith: Awesome Coffee Cave ! Fabulous finished basement feel ! Unique Coffee, friendly staff. If I could, I would compliment the ownerFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Joshua Jones: I had not been there for years, but a barista at Cafe Liv recommended their beans. I was very impressed with where they had come. Initially their lattes tasted like they were brewed in bus muffler, like Biggby. But, upon trying them now, so much difference. I put it on par with mighty good and roos. They are roasting their own beans now. I enjoyed their Burundi, Holidays Blend. and Victor's blend (Espresso). However, their Cafe Liv blend (exclusive to that cafe) is worth the trip to ypsilanti. Their staff are pleasant, but my first return trip on a Sunday afternoon, they seemed not in good spirits. But early Saturday morning, they were friendly and chipper. The atmosphere has the diesel character. Baked goods are nice too. Plenty of Gelato. Tea selection good, but their tea lattes are not great. Parking and Location are tricky if not a walker. Seating is good. Also close enough for a stroll around that part of A2. No notes on the bathroom yet.Vegetarian options: most everything but the meat sandwiches is vegetarian or has options.Kid-friendliness: plenty of kid friendly foods. Also hot chocolate, steamers, and tea.Parking: Limited spots due to location.
Caroline Miller: The coffee is great 😊 However, my partner and I were looking for a bite to eat after a long day of travel. We both ordered paninis. They were tasty but very small in portion and way way overpriced for their value. I would not recommend getting food from them.
