junior rivera: I want to give this place a better review. I only know of one mechanic here who was great which is the reason I came back. I towed my car here to get it diagnosed as I had a nostart issue, they said they tried to crank and it wouldn't and that they tried other things to see if it would crank but this is where my issue lies. I am not sure they did anything or tested anything because I did exactly what I was told was done to the car as a test, and it worked for me. I am happy that my engine works, but disappointed I spent time and money at this place as I ended up towing my car out of there due to their misdiagnosis. I understand this may also be just one person slacking but I figured everyone here knew what they were doing.Service:Auto engine diagnostic
Heather Hansen: While out of town I broke down. This was the closest shop I could limp my car too. They changed my fuel intake sensor and charged me $457 dollars!!! The price I looked up saysthe job ranges from $147 to $161 for parts and labor. The nice man knew what was wrong, right away but they did not provide and itemized receipts. My car IS fixed and i made it home but the price is not sitting right with me. So today I contacted them to email me a copy. Let's hope it's a billing mistake and they respond quickly.I hope this isn't one of those times women get taken advantage of but I will definitely update! If it is, I probably should have just gotten a hotel and towed my car elsewhere and it still would have been cheaper, but I needed to get home for work in the morning.

Marissa: I just got my car back from Main Street motors and I just want to say that this place is amazing. They got me in super quickly and were able to fix the hood of my car, change my radiator and headlight within a day. They even fixed the dent in my driver's side door. I'm so thankful to the guys here because other shops I went to this week were not doing repairs until February. I would highly recommend this place if you need work done on your car!
Bonnie McKinley: Horrible customer service. Logged on to the website, went to the “make an appointment” button, went through the instructions. Someone emailed me and asked me what time I would like to come in for my oil change, I said 10am. I dropped the car off for my appointment, 7 hours later, my car was finally ready. I had called twice previously to see what the problem was…when I called to ask if there was a problem Mr.Max told me Main Street motors was a drop off service, first come first serve and I should have known that. He also said I should have told him I needed my car back in a hurry. I told him I didn’t need my car back in a hurry, but I also did not think it would be there all day (7 hours). I asked him for the benefit of his future customers to please communicate better….it was really difficult for him, but he said they would try to do better, but I should have known it would take all day since I did not ask them to rush. I’ve gotten at least 100 oil changes in my life, I’ve not run into this problem before. Good luck Max and good luck to anyone who is not first in line

We've had them service a few of our cars over the years and they have always been attentive, straight forward and honest. Recently we had an older car in for brake service and they noticed a potentially dangerous situation with the frame. Instead of just doing the brake work and not letting us know, they alerted us to the danger and gave us advice on what to do next. No charge. Good people. Sean Dalton: I took my car here for a stalling issue, I was told the issue was fixed after spending over $800 for spark plugs and a fuel system clean. The day I picked the car up the stalling happened before I could even leave the parking lot. I left my car for another 4 days and was told they “couldn’t get the stalling to happen for them” and to bring it back once it shows a code. Don’t waste your money here, I took the car to the dealership where they were able to find the actual problem and fix it within the same day.These guys should stick to oil changes as that’s about as far as their skill set goes. Would not recommend to anyone and would rate lower if I could.Also would like to add I never once went for a “ride” with the service advisor as the owner below stated. He seems to just brush off people that have valid claims as to why this place is a joke and continually discredit them in his “responses”
Michael Billingsley: This shop is full of con artists who claim to fix things that immediately prove to be false once leaving the shop. They then turn around and say nothing can be done. Also if you call early enough in the morning you may get to hear Eric the seeming manager be clearly drunk still from the night before. Avoid this place at all cost. Not only did they openly claim to not have a clue of how to “clear all of the check engine lights”, by the time I got home after a 10min drive the light for my particle fuel filter came on which is a part they claim to have completely replaced. Furthermore, they offered no solution and will be hearing from my attorney. The straw that broke the camel's back was when they decided it was a good idea to close early on a Friday before they finished the oil change on my car that I had scheduled for Thursday.

I was told I needed a brake job even though I had yet to hear any brake noises. I was quoted $500 over the phone for “the brake job”. At the end I was charged for $940 for oil change and brake job. From the quote I was given over the phone I expected $600 at most. I’m just presenting facts here but I can’t help but to feel lied to. From the inquiry phone call I made until the end of business between us, they were absolutely stellar. Upon inspection, I got a detailed inspection report complete with 34 detailed pictures pin-pointing everything they found on the vehicle. I have NEVER got this complete of a report from a auto shop.I don't think I have ever dealt with a more genuine, customer service driven auto shop. Mary Lynne Foster: We were facing an hour long drive home when we noticed the car seemed to be leaking. We called Hoover Street Auto Repair, and despite being very busy, they said they could check the fluid levels and top up if necessary. Their technician, Tom , came out right away, checked the fluids, identified the leak, topped it up, and assured us we would get home safely. They refused our offer of payment. Kim Wehrmeister: Hoover St diagnosed my headlights not working as a corroded relay in the battery junction box. The repair was done within a week, delayed only due to obtaining a part on a 10-year old car from out of state. They also reconnected a loose heat shield on the underside of the car. Shortly after the repair, I receive a notification from Ford Motor that there was a national recall on the battery junction box for the exact repair I'd just had completed with Hoover. The recall stated that they would refund any previous repairs provided a detailed receipt was provided. I contacted Hoover St and told them about the recall, and asked if they could add additional details, just to be sure Ford would cover it. They added a lot of very detailed notes to the invoice and emailed it to me so I wouldn't have to pick it up. They didn't have to do that for me, but they went above and beyond. This was my first visit to Hoover St, also, so it's not like I was a consistent customer. Gabriella Ring: I took my Ford Focus here for the first time after experiencing a really bad, grinding sound with my brakes for almost two weeks. I dropped off my car in the morning and it was available by the end of the day which was much appreciated! The guys at the counter answered all my questions. I wish they would have tried to repair my busted spare tire, which another shop down the road did. PTI Michigan: They hire people who are not mechanic or technicians. I took my car for exhaust sound issue. They charged me but never fixed the issue. The mechanic dropped the back side of exhaust pipe twice on the ground and bent it and could not put it together. THEY ARE CHEATERS, DONT GO THERE.
Sydney Joann: I want to start off by saying this man had EVERY opportunity in the world to take advantage of me, I walked in a frantic mess telling him I have no idea how cars work but I thought I needed my brake pads changed because of a squealing and that overall it was overdue for a service check.I dropped it off at 11:30, and I got a call about an hour later saying my car was actually in great shape & I was just due for an oil change! :) Turns out, something just needed to be cleaned under one of my brakes & that solved the problem entirely. He even put air in one of my tires and took off a broken rubber piece without charging me.I walked away from what I was expecting to be a $800+ day, with a smooth driving car and a simple oil change. Polite, quick, informative & professional. I'll recommend Car Doctor to everyone I know now, and this will be my go-to place for sure. Nate Berent-Spillson: AC wasn’t working. The did a systematic troubleshooting and communicated all along the way. It ended up being the compressor, so not cheap to fix but the air is icy cold now!

Tayler Ondersma: They went above and beyond for me! After having a horrible experience at another shop which led to part why I needed these repairs they made sure I got back out on the road and told me to come back if anything acted up! I had something unrelated to the repairs go wrong the next week and they took care of it for free for me! I felt very heard and welcomed which isn't something I can say about any of other experiences I've had when it comes to getting car repairs! I can't recommend them enough! I will be back even if it's just for an oil change!

tom Rudnicki: They've brought my late fathers truck back to life not a project i wantd to take on and am super happy I took it here. This shop has done an excellent job and make things really easy for their customers . You don't find businesses like this anymore they're all about caring for their customers always showing me what's wrong withmy truck and never is their a question of quality. Talk about hard working people this is a great shop.

The mechanics are top notch, efficient and they are experts in their field. They always give me an honest, fair, estimate and let me know what I need to have repaired for my safety. D Y: Driving in the snow past winter did a number on my car and I had to get a control arm and ball joint replaced bc of a noise I heard when turning. The car was fixed and after a couple weeks I heard some noise again. Took it back to the shop and they got me in first thing the next morning with a free complimentary rental car. The work they did to fix the issue was covered under warranty and everything was done free of charge!These guys are knowledgeable and experienced and they take care of you as a valued customer. Thankful for their service and their care for their clients. Thank you!

Lopaka St: Only 1 star, since the owner ASSUMED I called and was quoted a price, but actually received the estimate from his "Master Mechanic"... I went elsewhere (MDP Repair near Jackson see cost difference below).I was in the area and seen the reviews, stopped for a steering issue and quoted $500 for the repair. Went to my normal shop and the issue was not the pump itself but a sensor. Spent $190 including the diagnostic and got a free loaner car at MDP Repair.I left a simple review first and the owner replied with what he assumed I did, never reached out to me. With that reply I chose to elaborate and include the cost difference. It's very clear this place is not as organized, communicative or as "fair priced" as they portray. Go somewhere you can trust to diagnose and fix the problem that's actually needed, not someplace they think they know everything. Looking through the owners replies it's pretty clear he thinks very highly of himself.

I went to the other tire shops in that same location and got 4 tires for 600 dollars and was a better brand. 2 women sit at the front desk. The siting area is cluttered as well. The technician explained very well what the issue was and they were able to repair it immediately! The staff was very helpful and friendly! They go with you step by step of what needs to be done and even show you pictures. They back their warranty and if you have a problem they are always going out of the way to help. I mean loaner cars and dropping your car off to you! Seriously who else does this??They can get me in right away and fixed in no time. I hate having to wait for my car to be fixed here you don’t have to. Some of these reviews are crazy I have never had a problem and have send all my friends and family here with all the same experiences! Brittany Rose: I had the best experience I've ever had with an auto shop at Complete Auto Service. My Audi desperately needed an alignment and possibly more front end work from the evidence of wear and tear on my front tires. I was welcomed and quickly scheduled over the phone for the same day. Upon arrival, the owner, John, generously explained the entire process; what they were going to look for, and the cost I should expect. This was unlike any other customer service I had received before at other auto shops. When they found my tie rod was bent and causing my issues, they called me and explained everything. When I returned, same day, I was shown the bent tie rod and again explained to what to look out for and why this was causing me issues.
