The Himalayan Lodge: what do users think?
Derek Richardson: Great place!! Really nice location close to downtown but in a quiet neighborhood, loved time on the front porch and the lawn picnic table in the evenings. Very easy to get keys and get in, very clean, decorations were amazing (thank you note from Obama!!), would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Matt R: Very cool guest house with a lot of character and space. In a nice, quiet neighborhood that is walkable to downtown (in good weather).
Daniel Miller: I stayed at Himalayan Lodge along with 4 of my coworkers while we were in Ann Arbor for a conference. This was the best short term lodging I've ever found in Ann Arbor, and I travel there regularly. The location is excellent. The price is very reasonable. The house is very comfortable, with plenty of privacy for beds and homey living spaces that were great for after-conference co-working or for relaxing. The owners were friendly and easy to communicate with.I'll definitely stay here again.
Nancy White: A charming house, filled with pictures of the Himalayas, Tibetan prayer flags and the owners art. A great respite from hotels, where you have a comfy bed, good bathrooms and a living room to hang out in. Oh, and a porch swing. It seems I'm partial to porch swings.

Rita Kubek: It was a good value for the money I spent. Customer service from the front desk was wonderful.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Kid-friendly, Great value …More
Clare Dewhurst: Overall a good experience, however we needed to check out a day early because my son got sick. Nobody was available at the front desk and I waited for 15 minutes for them to return. Finally housekeeping saw me waiting and called for the desk person but they couldn't find him. They called him and he rudely said I'm busy checking rooms and you can tell her she still has to pay for the night because it's after noon. I already knew that I would be expected to pay for the second night I was just giving the courtesy so that they could possibly get the room turned around that day. There was absolutely no need for the rudeness.
Justin Preston: Staff was great! Location is great! Pool was green🤔. Hot tub is no longer there😐. handicapped pool lift did not work... or even have a remote to control it. Carpet was duct taped together at the seams on the 1st and 2nd floor that I saw🙄. It seems like every hotel in the area took out the hot tub to make room for a fitness center. Still trying to find a decent family friendly hotel to stay at near the children's hospital. And also the breakfast served in jail I'm sure is better than the breakfast served here.
Michael St. John: Clean, quiet rooms with a nice continental breakfast.Rooms: Clean and quietNearby activities: Tons of restaurants

Peter Chen: Short one night stay for busniess. Hilton quality assurance doesn't disappoint. Enjoyed the stay.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Erik Owens: Very nice, clean, and quiet. Jeremiah was very professional and helpful at check-in.Only thing that surprises me is no USB charging outlets in room.Breakfast room thermostat says 73 but it feels much colder.Rooms: Sophisticated and appointed properly
Paul Popa: I needed to book a hotel at the last minute due to an electrical issue at home. This hotel was a delight to stay at from start to finish. Check-in was fast and easy, the room was clean and well-appointed with everything I could need, the bed was extremely comfortable, and each person working the front-desk was knowledgeable and friendly. I especially appreciated the late check-out and the fitness center. Sometimes the little things add up to a great stay, and that’s definitely the case here! As a Hilton Diamond member, I was very pleased with my stay. Great work everyone.
Laura Penrod: Room was not well kept found food on the floor, black fuzz all over the bed, hair in tub and sink. Was offered NO DISCOUNT for staying only a few short hoursRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Ann Arbor Bed & Breakfast Inn @ Rackham Gardens: what do users think?
Clarke Wells: Really great place to stay! Comfortable and very accommodating!
Savannah Schuring: Pros: Cute building, close to downtown, safe door-locking featuresCons: No responses during stay from owners after calling and texting for help, air conditioning didn't work well so room was quite warm, bed caved in and was uncomfortable, breakfast was bagels granola and cereal - different from traditional breakfasts at other bed and breakfasts I've stayed at before. Anytime I mentioned any of these things to the owner she said "No one's ever said that before" and "That shouldn't happen I'm sure it's fine" with no additional follow up or help. We won't stay here again.
Ahmed: Not worth the stay-Stay elsewhere.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Top Reviewer: There is a fine line between eclectic and cluttered design. I found all areas very cluttered and didn't feel roomy or comfortable. This clutter is also hard to keep clean and it shows.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Denise Hanna: Great location - interesting place to visit.
Laurena Lacroix: high prices for overnight stay
Christie Schulz: Cute, cozy, and eclectic. Loved our overnight stay here! Pat and the staff were so nice, and we were close to everything.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Sunil Lall: Wonderful alternative from the mainstream. Homely and clean.
Donald Montgomery: so much love this inn
Juan Alberto Estrada García: An excellent service and place! The location could not be better and the hosts are just wonderful. A must visit place in town.
Eric: The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious, with great amenities (fridge, microwave, snacks, tea, etc). Morning breakfast was plentiful. And the scenery/decor both inside and out makes it such an interesting place to stay.Pat was such a gracious host and made sure that we had everything we needed. She was very accommodating to us and made our stay as smooth as we could have wanted it to be. She is so genuine and we learned a lot abut the history of the building - She has a book for sale that she wrote about her experiences running the B&B, which we ended up buying as well.Overall, if you want a central location with great comfort and, most importantly, great people running the show, I highly encourage Ann Arbor Bed & Breakfast. We will definitely try to be back in the future.
Holden Ranz: This B&B is excellent, eclectic, fun, and very accommodating!! 5 stars doesn't cut it, the owner went above and beyond make sure we had a great stay. I stayed here with my fiancee and friend and thoroughly enjoyed talking with Pat and her other guests and meeting her adorable pup Russ. Definitely look forward to staying here again the next time we return to Ann Arbor!
Furious George: Great B&B!
Amanda Williams: This place doesn't even deserve one start. Booked a reservation online 2 days in advance. I get sent confirmation on how to obtain keys and when to enter building. No key in mailbox as it stated. The woman rented out my loft room that I reserved online days ago. Said she didn't pay attention to the name and gave the room to some other young lady. Went to another room and said "well, here is your room. It isn't the loft size, it is smaller but it will do. I'll give it to you for a discount". A discount? It was not even a quarter of the size as the one I booked online, the room that they took their money out of my bank account Did nothing to solve the problem. Said they refunded my money but I still don't see it. I didn't even have the money to book another room because it was booked through 3rd party. Woman smelt like alcohol. Worst experiance ever.
mark saputo: This place doesn't deserve any stars. Booked a reservation online. Went to check-in and the woman rented that room to someone else. It was a loft, a full sized kitchen private balcony. She then tried to give me a super tiny room after a mistake she made and said " well here is your room, it's not a loft, well, it's a bit smaller and I'll give it to you at a discount."A discount, no. The room was small as hell. They did nothing to try to correct the issue.
Liane Pyper: I absolutely adored this place! Pat was very kind, and great to work with regarding accommodations. Bummed my trip didn't allow me to stay for breakfast, but I look forward to it next time!
Ace steensma: It was so amazing and the rooms and the view were so nice. I felt right at home. Ps. I do belong to the lgbtqia+ community and they were very friendly to me if anyone was worried about thatRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Willow Armstrong: Upon arrival was refused entry and then charged for the night regardless. Unable to contact them.Does not seem like a real business. Very uncomfortable and creepy. Many of the other reviews seem to be fake. I'd legitimately watch out on this one, something doesn't seem safe.If they took advantage of you and charged you, dispute it with your bank, you never received services, Dont let them scam you too!
Rodrigo García de Loera: Un excelente lugar , el cuarto súper cómodo , el host súper amable y el desayuno de 10 . Recomendable

Frank Lloyd Wright Palmer House: what do users think?
Jack Fifer: It was amazing to see the house and to know that he built it way before its time. The heated floors and the tea room/ little house . Was interesting to see and be In.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Brian “Timmeh” Timm: A truly unique house and rental experience. A whole home based on equilateral triangles which eschews right angles but still manages to feel like a home you'd like to live in. All the period correct furniture is still here and it creates a time machine like experience. If you're a frank lloyd wright fan, it's worth checking out and maybe staying a few days!
Arthur Talbot: Accessible haute architecture experience as Wright intended it. The tour by knowledgeable and kind hosts Sue & Gary is not to be missed!
Gina Bunger: Fantastic to rent. Peaceful and in part of town where there's plenty of restaurants. Great back ground info given. All original.
Leo Kupperman: A masterpiece of archeticture and a wonderful preservation of Frank's work. The house is almost entirely equilateral triangles and with no horizontal right angles. The people who run the house are pretty fussy, but for good reason. The house is essentially a museum with many great pieces of furniture inside. I would strongly recommend staying here if you get the chance.
Ricardo Alfaro Arosemena: It belonged to Bill and Mary Palmer. He was my father-in-law's best fried when they roomed at University of Michigan in the 1920's and he was able to stay with them when he visited them.
roselle serrano: Another masterpiece by FLW. Privately owned and available to rent.
Rachel Perfecto: Awesome opportunity to stay in a home by Frank Lloyd Wright
theheadland: It was a privilege to stay at the Palmer House. The house is museum quality - original furniture, art, dinnerware - everything is of the highest quality and authentic, and exactly as Mr Wright planned. The views and perspectives from every room was amazing. The gardens are beautiful - takes a lot of planning to achieve this "natural" look. We especially liked watching the deer feeding on the lawn, and the tea-house is sublime. We had no problems with the owners - their requests are pretty simple - no smoking, use coasters, be careful as everything is over 50 years old. They are very generous to share this priceless piece of art with visitors. An incredible opportunity to stay in a work of art..
Robert Walcott: Four of us stayed in this amazing historic house twice. It's the strangest of all Frank Lloyd Wright floor plans: no horizontal right angle anywhere (except kitchen fixtures), only multiples of 60 degrees. Occasionally a bit awkward, but it didn't bother any of us, in fact it's the whole point. The previous renter's review is hilarious. I guess he expected Club Med with servile natives. No concept of how exceptional it is to rent a museum year after year without it being destroyed by yahoos. It's maintained very well, considering. Of course it's a 50's house and has odd shaped beds and strange corners. Duh. BTW, a historic trust forbids changes, like dropping in a modern kitchen (good grief).
Art Marks: This is not a place for someone wanting a comfortable place to stay for any length of time. It a place for a one time visit to absorb the unusual work of an American icon. The owners are much more concerned about the property then they are about guests and their comfort. They focus on what you can and cannot do on the property so one would expect that the house to be well cared for. It is not. It is filled with dust and spider webs. It has fixtures that fall off of walls, non-existent window screens, no air conditioning and exceptional uncomfortable beds and bathrooms. The beds are in keeping with the design, but that means they are not rectangular nor easy to sleep upon. The bathrooms are small, the doors narrow. There is a maid service available, but it is superficial. The gardens must have been wonderful once, but they have not been well attended. Dead grass, dead plants, hungry mosquitoes. The kitchen is workable, but built in the 1950's. Don't stay here unless you are dedicated to Frank Lloyd Wright and in that case, make your visit short.

Nurgül Kılıç: The hotel is far from the city center, but it is very easy to reach by bus number 4.There is a very nice shopping center close to the hotel. You can find everything you are looking for around the hotel. You will be very pleased with your stay at the hotel. It's nice that the staff is smiling. In addition, the hotel works in terms of sustainability, I thank the hotel management and wish success to the employees.
Matthew Rian: Had to stay here for family health issues. They gave me a shuttle to and from the U of M university Hospital. Drivers are excellent front desk ladies were great and breakfast woman made sure you started your day off great and housekeeping made sure the room was clean! I will definitely be staying here again if I need to! Thank you again everyone!Food & drinks: Red lobster across the street, Bob Evans next door, palm palace just down the road, other places to eat with Uber!
Nicole Caruso: Very clean, staff is super nice!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Rebecca Grody: Amazing staffI accidentally left my bathing suit and had to call and ask the hotel if it was found in my room a d could they please ship it to me. The staff was excellent. They found my suit and had it fed exed the next day. The room itself was very comfortable and inviting. The locations was perfect and the amenities were exceptional.
Alain Chautard: An old-fashioned hotel with board games, foosball table and a pool table. It was very quiet and the staff was super accommodating. The breakfast area is a bit small and its layout makes it difficult ton have more than 3-4 people help themselves at any given time, but it wasn't too busy when I got there.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Erica Reist Bass: We lost power due to the recent power outages in the area and needed a place to stay. They were able to take us day of and make us feel very welcome and at home. Thank you so much for accommodating us and helping us out when we needed it most.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
David Mccray: Vry niceRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
KRISTEN L: Stayed one night during mediation visit. The room was clean and looked recently redecorated. The pool and hot tub area looked nice and clean, though we did not use. The work out room had 2 treadmills, a bike and an elliptical: all of which were... useable but entry level/old. The work out room was HOT and small, mentioned the temp to the front desk, so hopefully that will be adjusted. Breakfast was free with a variety of selection. Had to ask for decaf coffee, the attendant was friendly and immediately offered to make some, but she never brought it out. Plenty of parking during our midweek stay. Would definitely stay here again.
Bethany “Bett” Benisch: I would not visit this hotel again. The bed has a divot and the showers had peeling wallpaper. The rooms were clean, however.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
L Beebe: The rooms were not clean and were out of date. Caroline was very rude all around. She had offered my daughter chocolate-covered strawberries stating a guest they were for had canceled then once she had realized she had made a mistake quickly took them back very unhygienic. Our reservations we made earlier in the day and we watched several other guests get the card to their room while we had to wait in the lobby for over an hr and a half. Just based on Caroline alone I would never recommend anyone staying at this location.
Christina Daniels: I stayed here for three days during an ice storm. The hotel was sold out. Every employee was kind and helpful. I would especially like to thank the breakfast attendants. While the space is very small, they worked diligently to keep items stocked and were helpful and polite while doing so.Very impressed.
Stephanie Bundy: Michelle was a life saver when we were looking for a last minute room for our daughters appointment at the U of M Cancer Center when our previous hotel fell threw. The hotel was beautiful, staff incredibly helpful and friendly and the shuttle server is such an added bonus!!! As soon as we find out her surgery date, we will be back!!! Thank you for making taking some of the stress off of a stressful situation.
