I needed to go to Detroit for the weekend in preparation for my college graduation and at first something wasn’t working but she took her time and figured it out and I was able to get the rental and go home for my appointments and come back for graduation. She was really the glue to my entire weekend and the only thing I kept telling her was thank you because without her I would not been able to travel 2.5 hours to go back home for my appointments. She was very patient and didn’t rush. Thank You Cammie.
Elie Soukar: RENTERS BEWARE!If I could give this location less than one star, I would have done that. The cars are always old, dirty and with high mileage and the people that work there are rude and very unprofessional and especially the manager that I spoke to. I rent cars all of the times but this will be my last choice.I reserved a premium car and when I arrived to pick it up, they said that the only premium car available is a 2020 charger with very high miles and dents on the sides. I looked inside the car and it had stains all over the seats. Normally premium cars will have leather interior but this one was fabric and very dirty too.Beware of renting from this location. I asked for a different car and all what they had available is a couple of compact cars that will not work for me. Why would I pay and reserve Premium car and accept a compact car?

Alajia Cherry: Until recently, I have never had an issue with Enterprise vehicles. However, while driving my most recent rental, the transmission went out while I was exiting the highway. I barely had enough time to get to the side of the road before the car completely stopped. My 4 year old son was with me and we could have been in an serious accident. Although Enterprise sent a tow truck, they said because we were in "an unsafe location", they could not send an uber to take us to the nearest rental location. They told me to call local authorities to move us to "a safe location" so that they could then send the uber. I called 911, no one came, so the tow truck driver gave my son and I a ride to the nearest Enterprise which only 5 minutes away (my destination was 6 min away). After waiting 10-15 min at Enterprise, they gave me another car that had a weird smell in it and a mysterious stain in the trunk. This experience has put me off of Enterprise.

I booked a car and was notified after arriving that the car that I booked was no longer available, and I would have to pay more for a larger car and addition to paying more for a larger car, the car was filthy, and it was a dirty paper towel stuffed in the door secondly, the car also smell of cigarette smoke. I notified the employees of the dirty car and was met with disrespect. I highly recommend do not rent from this location.

When I asked for a different vehicle I got a downgrade and it was still dirty! When I made complaints I was told “sometimes they miss stuff”… not acceptable at all! Philip Todd: I reserved a full size truck several weeks in advance. When I flew in, the Enterprise at GRR did not have a full size truck available. When I questioned this, they suddenly had issues with my Corporate credit card not having my name on it. Reservation was made with this card and it was acceptable at that time. The customer service guy had no clue what he was doing. It took him 15 minutes to figure out the customers reservation that was in front of me in line. I ended up spending $145 on a taxi due to this. Now their computers are down so I can't even cancel the reservation to ensure that I am not charged for it. Very poor customer service. Very poor computer system.

As I was waiting in line, both of the associates manning the desk were very courteous and kept their cool while doing their job processing customers. I was impressed with Mary R., as she was consistently courteous and helpful regardless of who she worked with. There was a slight mixup because I had previously checked in my vehicle via the Enterprise app, so that made my reservation appear elsewhere in their system. If this happens to you, just let them know you checked in via the app. I rented a Dodge Ram 1500 and while it was sparsely equipped, it was in good condition and fit my needs. Returning my vehicle was a breeze—I simply parked and left my keys with the attendant on site. My bill came in via email promptly after. Highly recommend this Enterprise for your rental needs!

Laquinta Thomas: I rent cars at enterprise often because I have a discount code through my job. But this last time I went they said my code was different or something. Basically when I booked with my discount code they gave me the wrong price and my rental ending up being triple the amount , not the amount when I booked . I don’t kno why it change all of a sudden when I get there and not change online while I was booking. It was very last minute and it just didn’t sit right with me. I should’ve at least got the rental at the price I booked it at. And if that was a technical problem then it should be fixed because I was expecting one price and ending up paying way more than expected. I don’t think I’ll be renting through enterprise again just because of that. I’ve been going through enterprise for years now and that never happened before ever.

I’m very ticked off 😡 So after a 14 hour day of working, I pull into my driveway at dark to have three police officers run up to my car before I could even get out of the car door to slap handcuffs on me 😲 saying I’ve been accused of stealing a rental car, which Kia has been renting for me since August when the engine went out on my car that I am still making payments on and have an extended warranty on. We picked up the rental in August from Enterprise with no specific return date because because how would we know when our car would be finished, the last time we communicated with Kia they were still waiting on a part to fix our car, on the 13th of this month my husband drove to Kia to make sure Enterprise was informed that we were still in need of the rental because our car was not repaired yet ( which took place) so then my husband drove the car to Enterprise so they could check out the car and see everything was fine and check the car out as they needed, we thought everything was fine. We’ve communicated with Enterprise when ever they had a concern on how long it was taking to bring the rental back, which had no specific return date, after all how was I supposed to know how long it would take for a dealership to fix my car. I am very unhappy with Enterprise who supposedly leases cars to Kia frequently and should know that you can’t give a specific date on when a repair might be completed specially when parts are taking longer than usual to be delivered. This is the Enterprise car rental on Plainfield in Grand Rapids that did not communicate with in there own company and with Kia to find out what was going on and had a grandmother that was simply trying to getting herself to work and back taking care of handicapped people that can’t take care of themselves handcuffed in front of her grandchildren because this company is not communicating amongst themselves. The rental was taken away last night, leaving me with no transportation to get to my disabled clients 😩 All because of poor communication between the dealership who is paying for the rental and Enterprise staff, please be aware this could happen to anyone, if you don’t believe me just go to utube and search wrongful car rental arrests 😡 I am very upset and expect Enterprise to do the right thing and correct all there mistakes so I don’t have to pursue this legally

Tom Mohl: My experience was top notch in every way. It was a pleasure working with the staff from beginning to end. They seemed genuinely concerned about my well being due to the accident I was in and making sure I was well accommodated in a vehicle that was affordable and comfortable to suit my needs. They were very courteous and friendly making it feel as if they truly liked what they were doing and wanted to help. I would highly recommend this location to rent from and if I need to rent again i will be returning to this location.

Tav: It took 75 minutes and multiple calls to inquire about renting a 12 or 15 passenger van. Enterprise will NOT allow you to speak to customer service in your local town. I called the local Grand Rapids South store, but was transferred to the Reservation department in another state, who transferred me back to the local store. I was disconnected after a 10 minute hold. I drove to said Enterprise nearest me, and out of 4 people facing the door, one gentleman answered my questions to the best of his ability, but prompted me to call the 28th street location. The 28th street location sold their last large van and transferred me to the Airport. Airport transferred me to the Truck Division, who transferred me back to the Car Division as they don’t have large vans. Car Division at the Airport has a 7 passenger van and their quote and deposit were higher than the 28th street location, who I called again for comparison. Every number connects to an out-of-state Reservation, so I had to ask for local numbers with each person I spoke to. It should not be this complicated to rent a van and I don’t understand why up-to-date information isn’t available in ONE SYSTEM for one location to answer my questions. Why can’t every vehicle in the system be driven to another location? Why can’t I call a local store? Two stars rating for each person’s kindness, although no one offered an apology for the inconveniences.

She said the car went for a wash and got rented out. Really, rented overnight?? I don't think she bothered to even check on it. She never called to update despite repeated requests. Other customers have posted similar complaints re items left in the car and never returned. NEVER again will I rent from this location. Enterprise - Are you listening!

Rivers6908: So let me start with saying be patient. Their call center is TERRIBLE. I called three times and failed each time with getting reservations. Called on Wednesday afternoon got reservations then went to get car... not even anything in computer for reserve. Then left that office called again made another reservation. Guess what it happened again, in less then 5 minutes no record of my information. Tried again with same result.Suggestions made for making a complaint. A lot that does for me now....Never again Enerprise.
David Hopp: I booked a reservation a week prior after recently moving to the Grand Rapids area. I had an out of state driver's license and didn't think this would be an issue. At previous Enterprise rental locations, I was always able to use a debit card instead of a credit card. Although the manager, Leslie, was warm greeting me when I walked in, the other staff member who looked like Steve from Blue's Clues, was a bit cold. He wouldn't let me rent due to not having a major credit card, or a Michigan state driver's license. I stated that I was able to rent without an in-state driver's license or major credit card. I felt like a "Karen" and asked for the manager. She (Leslie) was no help and completely refused to let me rent. Heartbroken and stranded in Byron Center, I went outside in the rain and called customer service. Wanda was super helpful and said that I shouldn't be having an issue, as long as I could prove that I lived within 50 miles from the rental location. She promised to have the district manager call me with a solution, but I never heard back. I did, however, remember seeing a jenky sign at the location's desk stating that I just needed proof of residence, but was so traumatized at being stranded, that I didn't bring it up.Don't rent from here. They may be nice on the outside, but inside, they're very cold and do not explore other options.

Enterprise and my insurance agent handled the whole transaction. The negative this time was that even though the cr displays two "No Smoking" stickers on the dashboard, the previous renter must have been a heavy smoker. I could still smell the remnants of the smoke when I returned the car at the end of a 3 week rental.

Had to drive out to the airport to rent a truck from Avis. Made me late for a very important presentation I needed a truck for. So they left me hanging and said there was nothing they could do. Manager was supposed to contact me regarding this issue and never did. Never again! Very unprofessional, poorest management I've ever encountered (Ryan, and Tony). And this last rental, the 26' truck's lift gate blew its hydraulics 60 miles from home. After a phone call, a service truck appeared in short order and we were on our way in less than 2 hours. They were fair in compensation, too. I don't normally go out of my way to submit a Google review, but this company deserves it.

Jeff Thomson: When a customer is looking for the best deals for the money, then I'm totally misled on the exact cost to rent from Enterprise, this car rental is the biggest liars and scammers, you should Always be honest to customers with everything involving the cost, including the $300 security deposit required, this is the worse company for renting cars
carol davis-johnson: I was privileged with having a young man name Kyle for Customer Service at the 28th Street /Grandville, MI location. I was in a down mood when I arrived. Due to the care and mild mannerism of Kyle and due to him keeping his great demeanor, it prompted me to boost up and continue on. I know he do not know this; but he helped me check myself with only the use of his great personality. He was very knowledgeable of every question I asked and more. Thanks!!!

Michael Shocklee: First of all I would like to share that I'm a Enterprise employee. I reserved a small pick up truck two weeks ago to be at the Grandville location. (P2) I called ahead of the rental and requested a pickup at Line X about 2 miles away. When I got to Line X I called to see if they were on their way. I was told that my rental was at 10:00 and the vehicle was not available at 9:30. The agent also stated it was coming from the Plainfield location. I was fine with that. 10:30 came and went still waiting. I called again the agent said they were on the way. Thirty seconds go by and they called again and stated no truck was available. I needed a vehicle so I agreed to a car. I needed the truck to move some bagged mulch for land scaping around the house. When I got to the branch they gave me a car that had a chip in the windshield and the drivers side mirror was shattered as well as multiple scratches and dents. The vehicle did not appear to have been cleaned. I have the rental for three days and it will sit in the garage and the mulch will have to waite. Next time I'll go to the airport or P1 I've never had an issue prior. All I needed was a call before hand telling me they couldn't get the truck. I'm sure my boss could of moved on there.
Debbie Andree: Car was dirty inside and out, windshield wipers were bad, we have rented from another enterprise before but would have to say I would never rent from Grandville again, also smelled terrible inside, we got 2 days free rental but not going to use it, left garage door opener in and when I called the guy said you can come look in the lost and found , 1 1/2 after I returned car they had already rented it out, when I got there my opener was not there, it was still in the car which told me they didn’t even clean it out before they rented and I was told by a manager that’s not our standards when I returned the rental car and told her what was wrong when she ask, the next day when I returned to get my opener the car was back and still dirty

I rented an 8 passenger SUV at least 6 months prior of our planned trip and I show up to pick the vehicle up the day we leave for vacation. They tell me that they as a company don't have any 8 passenger vehicles. let alone the 8 Passenger Luxury SUV i rented and is still shown able to be rented on their website. Classic bait and switch. I will go out of my way to make sure this is known to any of my associates that may need a car rental. The employees at the branch get to deal with issues that they didn't create. They ended up putting me into a Honda minivan that got the job done. Excellent customer service at the branch.

Will never rent a car with them again!!

She also stated that people have reserved vans a year in advance. OK...so why have the reservation up in the first place? Total incompetence from every level of this location
