It's a quiet building with shoes and boots lining the walls. There is also a corner filled with Smartwool socks of all kinds as well as insoles. They have a good selection of women's, men's, and kids footwear.Ethan was the associate who helped me out. He seemed very knowledgeable about the boots I was asking about and helped me find a good quality pair that fit just right.I left happy with two pairs of new socks and a new pair of Teva boots for work! Great place with great products, and a great staff.

Michelle Claybaugh: Bought New Balance shoes that the inserts come out of. I have plantar fasciitis and needed to put my own inserts in. I was told only shoe stores like Mieras could sell shoes where the inserts come out. I have found them since then, for half the price, at JC Penny's, Famous Footwear and Kohls. At the same time I purchased sandals for a pretty penny. I bought them in August right before school started. They hurt my feet. I wore them once. I just tried to return them. They refused to take them back. They were expensive and the gentleman said I could donate them and he would give me half off a pair of shoes, if I wanted to buy a new pair of shoes. I told him I didn't come in to spend money. I came to return shoes that were expensive and hurt my feet. He also said they couldn't take sandals back in the winter. I won't spend that kind of money on shoes again, or buy from Mieras Family Shoes.

La Chynah Boricua: Customer Service has drastically changed. We've been customers for many years now through the Steelcase program and today was so disappointed with how we were treated. Young blonde girl refused to look up work shoes and at one point said they were discontinued and wouldn't even call the other store. I told her they were on the website and she said if she ordered them there would be a delay because of back orders. I could tell she didn't want to help us so I told her we would just have to drive down to the store at 44th st. We went to the store on 44th st and the lady there was so sweet and helpful and guess what they did have the shoes and are not discontinued as stated at the Leonard st store. So disappointed that customer service was not the same as I'm used to..

My Dad was convinced he was a size 12, the sales person measured his feet and said he was wearing shoes 1.5 sizes too long! He needed WW to accommodate the various toe issues.The New Balance shoes are more stable ( used by a local rehab facility) and will help him walk more confidently. I saw a difference immediately. Stu Cole: I needed a pair of shoes for work. I have an extra wide foot. I went to VanHoecks for two distinct reasons.1. The website said they carried an inventory of wide sizes2. I wanted the assistance of a professional.I walked into the store. I let the gentleman know I was looking for a pair of brown shoes for work which would be comfortable for walking. He measured my feet. Came out with a pair of Dunhams. Left foot fit perfect. Right foot was digging into my Achilles tendon a tad. He took them in the back and made an adjustment. Tried them on again. Fit perfect. Paid for said shoes and left.I couldn't have been in the store 15 minutes. If I would have gone to Walmart, Meijer, Shoe Carnival, etc., I could have saved a couple of bucks. But I would have been in the store 45 minutes or more, possibly had to go to a different store to find extra wide, and no adjustments made so I'd be walking around at work with uncomfortable shoes.So glad I went here and worked with a courteous professional. Would definitely recommend this place.

I've been panicked unable to find a place to buy shoes when this store was recommended to me. So happy. They carry a variety of shoe styles and know how to fit my feet. I even came back with a shoe and they adjusted the shoe for comfort. Personal service with long-time fit experts. If you have difficult feet and need personal service, I highly recommend them.

Mike Rundhaug: Extremely poor customer service at VanHoeks Footwear. Unfortunately, this is not a store I would ever recommend visiting due to the fact that the customer service is horrible. Last Friday afternoon, October 20th, I sent my 70 year old mom here to get shoes because she has a wide width and has a hard time finding shoes. The store employee first told her she had orthotics from hell, because they were thick. These orthotics were purchased from a local business who supplies orthotics for sports teams all over the United States. My mom also said she wanted "stylish shoes" and not something that looks like an old lady and was told "you have to come to grip with the fact that you can either have comfort or style but not but you can't have style AND orthotics. The only shoes that this store carries are dated and old lady looking shoes. As someone who supports local business and appreciates companies that provide excellent customer service I was extremely disappointed to hear how they treat a new customer. My parents were both so disappointed in this experience that they proceeded to tell me the whole story and I felt it was worth sharing with others. The store employee also told them "you'll be back because we are the ONLY story in Grand Rapids that sells wide shoes". I can assure you, this will never happen because my mom will just purchase shoes online.

I found sketches warehouse and they had what I wanted, got there couldn't find them, getting ready to leave I thought I'd ask to verify my size. Well I got a real nice gal at checkout and she verified my size then I showed her what I was looking for, immediately she found 2 pair which I bought one. Nancy Scaglione: I went to my local Skechers Outlet store in St Augustine, FL and was told "their policy" was to NOT request sneakers outside state lines. I then called Michigan and asked if this was the case in their store as well? I was informed that was NOT the policy and that all stores can ship across state lines. The manager in Michigan, Hope, stepped right in and quickly took care of my situation. Hope made numerous phone calls to insure that I received the sneakers I requested.My issues:1. I was told by the employee in St Augustine, after going into the back of the store, that he called his manager and she said she couldn't do it. This turned out to be not true. According to the St Augustine manager the employee never called her.2. After numerously telling the employee that I needed a wide width, he order the standard B width. Thank goodness Hope was there in Michigan, across the country, to catch that mistake. Hope called me and is sending me the correct size and width I need.Thank you Hope! It's nice to know that some people understand the concept of "customer service."After being told that sneakers could not be shipped across state lines, from the outlet store in St Augustine, Florida, Hope really came through for me. She was able to manage the situation and ship sneakers from Michigan to my home state of Florida. Hope went above and beyond and made sure that I walked away from this situation with a positive experience.

K7 B7: Store #756 has a management issue along with her family that work at this location in Nashville. Store closes before the 8pm mark several times. She hired her boyfriend (key holder), 17 yr old daughter, and her daughter friend. Family affair. I was hired knowing that I am disable and requested 18 hours a week. That some how 23+ hours a week is slotted on the schedule. Completely ignored the time I requested. Recently an injury occurred moving some heavy boxes. Left knee swell to size of softball, feet got numb, tenderness in my tailbone. It felt worse the next morning. I call the store and explained the situation. Told her I made an appt. with my Dr., called a Orthopedic I went to in that past. The Orthopedic office said since your injury re occurred at work I needed t file a workmen comp. First off She stated She was flabbergasted which I don't understand that statement. Then She said had to call corporate because She never handle a case before. Got a call back to discuss incident report. She filled out the incident report, I ask to review the report. She stated it goes to Corporate no need for me to review..what? I was asked to come to the store to discuss the issue. To add to this story, my Dr. written a note not to return back til 9/23/2022. Also said work men composite was not needed and the Orthopedic receptionist should not have said that too me. This the only reason I asked my manager about the workmen comp form. So let's see what happens on 9/1/2022 at 10 a.m.?Also would like to add last Saturday the store got extremely busy with 4 people working. I made sales with customers buying multiple purchases. Store manager daughter was on the floor with me. Store manager and the other key holder her (boy friend) where in the back office. Manager 17 yr old daughter comes to me and says " You need not to converse with customers too long with stories, because we are extremely busy" in front of customers. Overstood! I replied than the key holder (Jonta) should stop what he is doing to assist? Manager daughter replied " Boss lady got him stocking and I need not to worry about that". My first week in training I was specifically told when the store get busy to stop what I am doing to assist customers. Now it doesn't apply? Store did not get the goal of $5200 and I see why on two reasons. One because of this scenario and the second is the Keyholder closed the store one hour before regular closing time...Yes!This past Tuesday store closed early again at 7:40 pm. I was asked to sweep the floors got to the front of the store. Watched a couple pull on the store doors at 7:44pm..Yes! I said sorry we are closed.

Amanda Stevens: Very very dissapointed on the view the Rockford Michigan club has on non -members. I had been using the kid classes for my 2 toddlers for a couple years. I loved the classes but did not join as a member because my kids were both under 5 years and there classes were with parent participation. When they get older I wanted to join and then I can leave them in their class then do my own activity. This is where it gets unbelievable. I called and personally spoke to the Wolverine World Wide location and scheduled my 2 daughters in a swim class. The employee checked and said 2 spots were available she took my kids info and my credit card and were were booked. When I got home, I had a message that the slots were taken!!! How can this be. I called and was explained that a MEMBER was trying to schedule the class on line and being a MEMBER she got the spots even though I had personal confirmation. A NON MEMBER gets kicked out. I even called the Grand Rapids Headquarter location and no appology was given or compensation for being slighted - NonMembers even pay more for each class. They are all about MONEY and without a Membership you are spit upon. I have found better classes at local schools. Rockford High School has awesome, high competition swim classes for all ages that focus on proper body positions and train for competition. Once Non Members know how they are viewed why would you step in their door?
