This was an investment, against future doctor co-pays, not an expense. I needed experts.Alyssa greeted me. Asked everything about my walking plans. Observed and evaluated my gait. She, obviously, knew everything about her craft. She’s not there to just sell me a pair of shoes and send me on my way. This was exactly what I needed. An investment. She proceeded to measure, fit and evaluate my walking back and forth with each pair of shoes. She didn’t have to bring out 50 pairs. She knew which were for me, based upon her skill. After my trying each of three, I invested in a pair. More importantly, I’ll be back. They know their field and I want that. Buying junk on-line is useless. Support local. Shop the experts.I spoke with Rebecca, store manager, on the way out. Professional team. Downtown Grand Rapids is the place to be.

Premium Kicks: I have went in a few times now. Each of the times the staff has been more then helpful. They are always on the floor. Some how they all work with one another and function extremely well in my opinion. Im a picky and demanding guy this is my first spot to shop at in Grand Rapids for my shoes. The store manager was praised by the staff last time i was in. Sounds like a happy family.

Aaron Topping: Came into the store to do an exchange on some boots I picked out of one of their "boot trucks". I've never been to a Mieras location before so I didn't know what to expect. It's a quiet building with shoes and boots lining the walls. There is also a corner filled with Smartwool socks of all kinds as well as insoles. They have a good selection of women's, men's, and kids footwear.Ethan was the associate who helped me out. He seemed very knowledgeable about the boots I was asking about and helped me find a good quality pair that fit just right.I left happy with two pairs of new socks and a new pair of Teva boots for work! Great place with great products, and a great staff.

Michelle Claybaugh: Bought New Balance shoes that the inserts come out of. I have plantar fasciitis and needed to put my own inserts in. I was told only shoe stores like Mieras could sell shoes where the inserts come out. I have found them since then, for half the price, at JC Penny's, Famous Footwear and Kohls. At the same time I purchased sandals for a pretty penny. I bought them in August right before school started. They hurt my feet. I wore them once. I just tried to return them. They refused to take them back. They were expensive and the gentleman said I could donate them and he would give me half off a pair of shoes, if I wanted to buy a new pair of shoes. I told him I didn't come in to spend money. I came to return shoes that were expensive and hurt my feet. He also said they couldn't take sandals back in the winter. I won't spend that kind of money on shoes again, or buy from Mieras Family Shoes.

La Chynah Boricua: Customer Service has drastically changed. We've been customers for many years now through the Steelcase program and today was so disappointed with how we were treated. Young blonde girl refused to look up work shoes and at one point said they were discontinued and wouldn't even call the other store. I told her they were on the website and she said if she ordered them there would be a delay because of back orders. I could tell she didn't want to help us so I told her we would just have to drive down to the store at 44th st. We went to the store on 44th st and the lady there was so sweet and helpful and guess what they did have the shoes and are not discontinued as stated at the Leonard st store. So disappointed that customer service was not the same as I'm used to..
