Devin Myers: I was under the assumption that Planned Parenthood offered free STD testing, but they do not. You have to be a registered client with them in order to even receive that. You have to see a clinician before that’s even possible. They don’t tell you any of this information until after your visit. $80 for an STD test. That’s disgusting. They didn’t tell me the price until after the procedure was done. Health departments offer STD testing for FREE. Don’t go to planned parenthood for any sort of testing if you haven’t already or else they will charge you an arm and a leg.

I called to make an appointment and I was able to get in within a couple days. The girls over the phone and in person were very helpful and friendly. The clinician who examed me was also very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend planned parenthood.

Michigander: The wait times are about as predictable as any clinic - they actually were nice enough to call ahead this time and let me know they were running behind, and helped me reschedule painlessly. But the care is what keeps me coming back despite the unpredictability.These kinds of medical visits can be really upsetting for someone like me with PTSD. The two physicians I’ve seen were extremely kind and attentive, clearly trauma-informed, talked me through everything they were doing, and made it easy to ask questions. They manage to make the appointment go by quickly and calmly without feeling rushed at all. I have left every time feeling a little more relieved than the last. Highly recommend PP for anyone who might be feeling nervous for any reason.

P Emerald: I will start off by saying I love Planned Parenthood but this location is absolutely awful. I made an appointment a couple weeks ago got there from driving 30 minutes and was told their systems was down so I had to reschedule. I made a new appointment days later went in today and was told I had to wait outside until I could be checked in it was 85° outside I waited outside for a hour and a half my appointment was at 2:15 I got called in at around four. When I got called in she took my temperature right away and told me I was above the temp they allowed. She waited not even a minute and took it again twice. Didn’t even let me cool down from being outside and told me I can’t be there all while arguing with the other nurse on staff about whether or not I could be re-tempt or I had to leave. They were very rude and unprofessional I went out of there in tears today as they made me felt so uncomfortable and just purely unprofessional. As I left they had about six other people sitting outside in 85° weather for who knows how long. If you can go anywhere else to another location I would suggest that this place is horrible.

I made an appointment months in advance and drove an hour just for them to tell me they wanted to charge me two grand, cash only for something that costs three hundred dollars at every other location I’ve called. It’s pretty sketchy to me and seems like they wanted some extra pocket change. I love planned parenthood but recommend going to another location if you can.

Susan Simons: Wonderful staff. So glad I can go to planned parenthood for my basic healthcare needs and barely have to pay anything as I am very poor. I don’t know what I would do without them. Never had a bad experience except for when they were getting used to new covid restrictions and it was a long wait, but that’s to be expected and if anyone is getting frustrated during this time just imagine how hard their jobs are. I’ll never say a bad word against this place.

Megan Ann: I experienced the worst medical care I have ever had in my life. I went in for a copper IUD removal. They had a student medical resident attempt the procedure without even asking me if that was okay. She went to do a swab and accidentally shoved the swab in my urethra. I now have excruciating pain every time I try to pee. Not only that they didn’t even have the proper speculum and I was unable to even get it removed. And even after the student injured me they still let her attempt to do the removal before finally letting the doctor take over when she continued to struggle . All the pain and suffering was caused without reason. Uneducated providers and awful treatment. I wouldn’t recommend this facility to anyone.

When I called to inquire about the referral, it was somehow inconveniencing them. Because of their service, I have had to deal with an injury for an extra month when I should have been getting physical therapy.

The Dr my son sees doesn't seem like the brightest and always has to check with another Dr with questions. The last apt he had lasted until 7:30...the apt was at 5...and we only saw the Dr for about 15-20 mins. Today we went for an apt at 10:40 to get told that the Dr was not in. The rude lady in front said I got a call on Friday about it. I in fact did not get a call about it. I got a text on Friday to confirm the apt alone with a phone call last night confirming the apt this morning. Needless to say as soon as I got home from the apt I found my son a new Dr. He missed a morning of school and I missed half a day of work because of these people. We will never go back and I advise everyone to just go somewhere else. Don't waste your time.

Kristen Grafen: Willow is honestly the best health center I have been to in my life. They are very friendly and have great service. You might spend more time than what you want in there, but they always make sure that everything is okay and that you get what you need.

JEB 1: An absolute waste of an hour of my life. They do not take appointments online, which I tried to book, for blood testing. However, I watched 10 people go in before me for TSA pre-check testing over the course of almost an hour, and the staff said nothing and let me sit there. When I asked the staff how much longer it would take, I was informed that “another round of appointments was coming up” so I would have to wait ANOTHER 30 minutes. Absolutely not. My time is valuable, so I left. This place needs to take a good hard look at their SOP in terms of managing walk-ins and respecting customers’ time. If I could give this place zero stars I would. This facility being located in a seedy old strip mall should’ve been my first clue.

Long waits, technicians that didn't know the lab codes, etc. But in the last year they've gotten a lot better. Antoinette has been my tech for the majority of my draws and she is fantastic! Super friendly, knowledgeable, and just an all around great person. ARCpoint, if you're reading this, make sure you take care of her, she's the best!

Madison Bach: Had to have a drug screening done for a new job. Took me a few tries to have enough urine for the sample. While sitting in the waiting room, I could hear the girls behind the glass window talking about me and saying I should have better things to do with my time than sit there and wait. And that if they were me they would have been sure to drink more water before hand. I have a nervous bladder and did not want to sit there but there is a 30 minute required wait between each try. Hearing them talk about me made me very uncomfortable and unwelcome.

I can understand that things are strained during COVID, but I’d rather just be told that they can’t or won’t do it as opposed to having to reach out to them multiple times and wasting so much time. If you want me gone, then cut it short. I don’t get it.

Charman Todd: My daughter received a call from the health department and went. The doctors said she needed a procedure done with no numbing medicine or anything. Then when she told me what they did I was very upset and the procedure should have been done it the operating room and she should have been sleep. I am putting in a complaint with the attorney General office yes she is a adult 32 years old but she didn't know!!! Yes I am very very upset!

Casey C: Went here to get some blood work done. I was informed verbally and physically on paperwork that they would work with my HDHP and offer me a heavily discounted $30 one time charge (discount to help those with HDHP). I paid that and went on my way. Now it’s 7 months later and I’m being called from a debt collector saying I owe $200. Come to find out, Sparrow Labs is also billing me for this service. ICHC realistically provided me no service as I find out it was Sparrow labs doing the blood work. Sparrow somehow had my old contact information from 10 years ago and was unable to reach me, hence the debt collector.After all of this, I had to keep calling Sparrow and ICHC back and fourth of the other blaming the other and neither would help me. This is causing such a headache that I’m just going to pay the damn $200 and will never be returning.

Robin Ann: i went there for an immunization shot and told them i would be self pay. They looked disgusted and barely wanted to answer my questions. In fact, after the shot i found out it was a generic similar to the one i was expecting but that it did not cover certain aliments of the original. It is best to think of every last thing out of the blue that could be a question because you can't count on the staff to inform you. This isn't just seen at this health department though unfortunately.

Tayanni Terry: I was going for my prenatal care there. Keep telling the doc that something wasn't right with me. So instead of running all test they said oh your fine. After 3-4weeks and telling the same doc this. I had a appointment with sparrow said something to that doc she looked at my file come to find out I have gestational diabetes. Only one doc at Ingham county health wanted to say that. Others said it was fine. Well I take insulin shots 4tmes a day along with other meds. Thanks to sparrow my baby will be born at a healthy weight now. All cause they listened to me. I will not ever recommend anyone to this clinic. They don't listen to they patients.

You think maybe peoples first impression is skepticism of education and competency to care for others heath? It's October 21 2022 and I was ordered to wear a mask with respiratory problems and severe sinus sickness. When I asked why.. every attendee gave me a lecture. Michigan, the CDC and the president has lifted all restrictions and I'm grateful we can get back to living a little happier. No other entities are operating like this and Sparrow is holding on to outdated policy, which makes me think they don't have any idea of how the rest of the world is operating in current practices. It's called normalcy. There I am, no one else near me, coughing and hacking harder to breathe even more putting up with no common sense. Workers continued to be rude, when I just asked a reasonable question, standoffish and passive aggressive attitudes. Zero positive attitude, empathy and understanding resides in this office. Most, if not all of these employees do not have the personality to be kind and understanding towards others, or relatable. Employees need serious attitude adjustment and should reconsider a career in human relations. These are the doctors we need tucked away doing research because they are not meant for public care. Perhaps just a solo office or a cubicle, minimal people engagement. It would go a long way for corporate to supply employees the resources and the training needed to understand applying professional management and interaction while working.Next,I did half the doctors job. Actually she was just a p.a. not a certified m.d. I pointed out my last visit where I was sick with the same symptoms and circumstances. I expressed what worked. Meaning she didn't look at any history of record before she came in for an evaluation. Not even the prior visit to this location!! Surprise surprise she prescribed me the same medicine.She wanted me to take another prescription that had toxic warnings all in the paperwork!!! She actually made it a point to tell me that it was easily toxic!!! Possibly talk about alternatives???? Nope! Common sense says that I won't be taking this medicine And that's probably the most rational grounded item that came from this visit. A huge ordeal over mask mandate that doesn't exist but take these pills with toxic warnings! 🤣Be wary. Many many negative google reviews.Picture as follows to reinforce medicine advice! Whomever makes the paperwork can't form complete sentences as well 🤣 hahaThis location is not worth your attention or hard earned money. Staff doesn't care period. Save yourself a headache buy more Sudafed and hope for the best.

Noticed that the doctor had written in her notes that I did NOT have any of the symptoms that I specifically told her I had? Went to a different urgent care the next morning and they were shocked that I wasn’t given any sort of antibiotics, prescribed me some, and I was doing exponentially better in 24 hours.

double rapuken: Wouldn't treat my strep throat without a 150 to 200 copay. How is it a copay if nobody is helping me pay? The counter person demanded payment up front and made mention that they were an urgent care facility, but their website says the fast care location is supposed to be cheaper. I then wonder why they have an urgent care on Michigan Ave. What's with the different names? Why knowingly lie and call themselves less expensive than an urgent care visit (on Sparrow FastCare website)? How could you guys justifiably charge so much for a 20 min visit, a strep test and an order for Amoxicillin? Without the lab fee its 420 to 570 an hour ($30 lab fee). Pharma bro much, Sparrow? Do better. Nobody is gonna call me back because this is America, after all.

Lyanne Wesley: **UPDATE** To say that I did email customer service per the response to this post, last Thursday (10/8/20) and they never responded.I'm so disappointed in Sparrow systems. I want to FastCare with very concerning symptoms, but nothing I thought was urgent, hence why I didn't go to Urgent Care or the ER. After running a number of tests, the Nurse Practitioner I saw (and I will say that the staff at this location are very friendly and professional for what that's worth) told me that what was going on could be life threatening.At this point, I started to feel scared and panicked. This is a medical professional, I'm going to trust what she says. She urged me to go to the ER to get more advanced testing that the FastCare couldn't do, even though she had done an examination and took labs and cultures based on what she'd seen.So, expecting that this medical profession knew what she was talking about and now fearing that my life could be in danger, I went to the ER, where they ran $8,000 worth of tests that this FastCare Practitioner asked them to run. None of the tests found any issues and they give me and Rx to relieve some of the symptoms.Fast forward a 24 hours and I get the lab results in MyChart. Come to find out, the labs from FastCare DID show what was going on with me. I google the symptoms of the diagnosis and EVERY SINGLE SYMPTOM I had and told FastCare about was on there. EVERY ONE. Why didn't this Practitioner know this? She new enough to test for this, but not enough to put together that, if it was that, there was no further testing necessary?Now I'm saddled with a bill that I'll either have to pay on for two years and live paycheck to paycheck, or I'll have to take out a loan that will give me smaller payment options to pay it back. And yes, I called the billing department to ask if I could get the bill reduced. Sparrow told me they won't even consider that if I can make minimum payments. Forget if it's going to create hardship for me.Please go to Lansing Urgent Care instead. They're only $20 more and they've never caused me this much grief and hardship. They've never over reacted and cost me thousands of dollars for sure. I've never had to take out a loan to get care from them.

They will charge you for things and not tell you about them band then send your “charges” to collections even if you pay at the counter and they say that’s all you owe. Don’t believe the prices they have posted in the lobby, total lies. Oh yeah, they’ll say you didn’t pay at time of service (which isn’t possible as far as I’m aware) and try to charge you for that again too.It’s sad that this “non-profit” is run by leadership that only cares about profit and not about the patient. There are a lot of good doctors and nurses that work for sparrow, but I’m extremely grateful mclaren offers another option in town.

I had expected the pre-screening process on the phone to be time consuming and a bunch of automation but it was very quick and simple to get to a real person, through the process and then an appointment for the very quick test. They were very good about giving details and directions.

M: They do a good job but make sure you know what they’re charging you you and if what they give you is absolutely necessary. Came in for an ankle sprain and just needed an X-ray and crutches, but they gave me a $650 boot that I never needed, the same one goes for like $40 online too…

DIY‘s for sanity God bless: 99% of the staff was better than I expected. I injured my back wasn't wanting any pain pills just checking to make sure it was not broke and know how to take care of it. I have a very high pain tolerance and this takes my breath away(. I lost my son 2 years ago to a drug overdose and I found him. ) so I don't take any additive pills. Went to go for my x-ray the tech rolled her eyes when she came to get me because with the injury take me a minute when I told her that she rolled her eyes! I instantly started crying because I truly was crying only because of the pain and how I was treated because when I got in there to get my x-ray she was rude until she noticed me crying then things change! I didn't tell anyone because that was the reason I hadn't been there before a week of pain! Judgement that everybody is in there for pain medication! Guess what I WAS NOT It just broke my heart because of all the other staff was AWESOME SAUCE! The dr help paying for my medication! 1 bad day for her or you have a bad seed!

She listened intently, clarified symptoms, provided medical insight and recommended disposing of tooth brushes at various times to prevent cycling of strept...then offered prescriptions after verifying only allergic to Demerol.DEFINITELY WILL RELY UPON AND RECOMMEND LANSING URGENT TELEMED FOR FUTURE ILLNESSES!
