The personal banker informed me that he would call me after he spoke with his branch manager. This was on July 5, 2019. I followed up a week later & was told he was still waiting. Here it is August 23, 2019 and I have yet to hear from that personal banker or even the branch manager. Poor service is one of the reasons I closed my key account. Online representative helped me with my concern.

Russell Hughes: I opened a business checking account with Lopa on 1-24-23. I never received any correspondence that there were any issues with my account. Monday (3/13) after realizing I never received my debit card. I went to the local Dearborn branch and was informed I could not withdraw any money as there were 2 blocks on my account. I asked the representative what I could do to resolve this and she simply stated “my address would need to be updated”. This morning I visited the Livonia location and was informed that I STILL could not withdraw money. I sat in there for almost an hour with Janice while she unsuccessfully called different departments in an effort to remove the block only to be told to follow back up with her later today or tomorrow. I cannot withdraw money or even close my account. I deposited cash so I am extremely frustrated with the service I am receiving with little to no explanation on why I cannot get access to cash I deposited in person. I am not receiving any information on how to rectify this situation or what exactly the issue is. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the service I received and how this has been handled.

I called customer service for help and was told I can't use my phone or tablet to complete my application. Was told I must come to nearest location. I mentioned I once opened an account online using my phone, but only problem was when I spoke to someone when doing it she lied and told me the bank was a short distance from me. Richard Henningsen: I've been a Key Bank customer since Key purchased Toledo Trust somethirty or so years ago. During that time I've lived here in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and back in Michigan without changing accounts. That account goes back to 1959. This afternoon I tried to get a Medallion Signature Guarantee Stamp which was a complete failure. The company requesting the stamp was a was Alerus handling my retirement for the Municipal Employees Retirement System who I receive my annual minimum distribution amount for my defined contribution per IRS tax filing. My form required only four questions was it over 100 G's, direct deposit and was to be sent out of the USA.and was the address of record correct, that hasn't changed in 40 plus years. The employee said I had to answer an entire list of questionswhich did not appear on my form from Aleurs. So why did I have to answer the questions? Having lost my in ID in 2017 the former Bank Manager knew me well enough to sign the same paper some 15 or so times without a problem. Now the current staff sits in the back room and I don't know if she is the bank manager or just some employee. Themanagers office sits empty and you don't know who your talking too. The lady I spoke with first couldn't sign or didn't want to, I never saw her card for ID nor the lady who came out of the back room. I thought it something that a employee meeting the public had a half eaten sandwich sitting on her desk. Not very professional for a bank if you ask me. I went to another bank and got the signature with the Aleurs form no problem.That lady said the four questions on the form were enough.On another area of disappointment the only teller at this branch appears to have been placed on the job with no prior training as she has had extreme problems cashing checks or entering checks for deposit. She does not give a very positive face to the branch. I'm certainly reluctantto use this branch in the future for my banking needs. In my opinion I think the rating I gave the bank is fair as service has not been to Key standards when compared to past managers and todays staff.

Bryan Johnstone: So the branch manager at KeyBank got mad that I made a complaint about his customer service so he closed my accounts. He called me 4 times yesterday while I was with a customer. When I finally got a chance to call back to see what was going on he didn't apologize or ask what he could do to better his service and to make me a happy customer! Instead he wanted to argue with me about the review.. Honestly I never thought I would be treated like this by my bank. After going back and forth I finally just hung up and proceeded with my day. Well this morning I'm trying to buy materials so we can go insulate some homes and my card was declined. So I called the bank and they said there is an anonymous block on our account, we do not want to do business with you any longer per the Livonia branch. Ok cool I already opened up a Chase business account so I'm coming to get a cashiers check I need my money. They proceed to say that I can't come get a check and that they will be sending me one in ten business days... They not only closed my business but also my personal checking and savings account as well as my office managers personal accounts. Good thing I set Chase up last month or I would be really screwed. Moral of the story do not give your business to Key Bank!

da don: Terrible experience. I opened an account online for a bonus. One of the requirements is to have a direct deposit of $500. I did direct deposit with my job. I was told that it wasn't eligible. I have never had an issue like that before when it comes to payroll at my job doing direct deposit. payment type “Bank transfer “ not “payroll “. I should tell my hr that they're doing fake direct depositsI won't waste my time with keybank ever again.

After a couple of questions that my husband had regarding opening a new account... he was continually met with a very unhelpful and snarky attitude by Saba. Brenda was fabulous and bent over backwards for you as a customer.After Brenda left, the whole atmosphere of the bank changed. Joanne refused to help me in any way. I had two issues I needed help with and both times she handed me an 800 number and told me to handle it myself. After spending much time attempting to rectify the issues myself, I complained to corporate about her total lack of customer service, she must have been notified because she has made me pay ever since. I have been constantly disconnected when I called and or put on hold for ridiculous periods of time…I noticed another staff (Lisa) had picked up on her behavior. Last week I needed to send a wire transfer, I asked the price and Lisa said $25.00. I was charged $30.00. When I asked Tanisha (manager) about it, she said "Lisa make a mistake and I corrected her), however, I will not refund you the $5.00.I have never been treated like this before and am stunned that this seems to be acceptable by the principles of Key Bank.Key bank lost an excellent customer that would have stayed for life had I been treated with respect.Check out Consumers Review Report – Key Bank was rated horrible by over 40 customers. I mobile deposited my work check on the 28th of January was told my money would be available on the 31st get to the bank to make a withdrawal only to be told there's a 9 day hold on my money because I'm a new customer and the deposit was over $1000. Now here it is the 9th of February and my money still isn't available. Will be switching bank and will never recommend this bank to anyone!!!

Douglas Hodges: Just the worst experience. Waited for over a half hour to change my PIN number. Ended up leaving without having it changed. Woman insisted I could change it on my phone, even though I had already tried everything. Never using this branch again.

Kathy O'Neill: Took my 92 year old dad who has Stage IV Melanoma Cancer for an appointment to withdraw his money from his "inactive" account. He had received a letter the day before from Bank of America stating that his account had been inactive and it was possible that his funds would go to the state as abandoned funds. My mother's social security check was diverted from deposit in Bank of America to Chase Bank in Sep 2021 in an effort to consolidate accounts. I guess this was not acceptable to Bank of America. We decided to withdraw my dad's $100,000 and close the account. The bank rep told us we needed to sign a form that would be submitted to the corporate office in order to reinstate his account before we could withdraw his money. This process would take five business days. I looked this up online and it should only take one business day for the account to be reinstated after a request has been made. This branch treats the elderly abhorrently and should be put out of business! My dad limped out of the bank with the aide of his walker, and it just broke my heart. Shame on these people!

Krista Lay: So my 72 yr old mother went on Friday December 17th to withdraw from our joint account. She went to this location because the other two branch locations were closed she tried to go to. Random closures at random locations have been ongoing thing since covid. So the bank teller says she needs more than one piece of ID for a withdrawal, last time I checked when you have a huge amount of money in the bank and have your driver's license with your picture on it it should suffice. My mom even gave the amount of money that was in the account to them. She talked to a bank manager the manager said we need two more forms of ID. How does one have three pieces of ID on them especially when they're 72 years old. My mom got flustered and left without her money. Bank of America is holding our money hostage because my mom couldn't produce another form of ID. She literally has one credit card, she pays cash for everything. Her mortgage is through Bank of America along with her bank accounts. I'm working on convincing her to change over to a credit union that I belong to. If I could give zero stars I would, despicable people. Shame on trading seniors this way
Ashley Walker: This is the worst bank of America branch I have ever been to. I tried to come in to change my last name because I got married, they told me I need an appointment. Okay whatever no big deal. Well fast forward to a week later I come in they tell me I don’t have an appointment but will “take care of me anyways.” One of the tellers even said she recognized me. Then to find out I can’t even change my name without my mother and husband there because I have them on my account. Even though they have no access to any debit/credit cards. My husband banks with Chase and they were able to add me to the account without me even present. Bank of America has just really gone down hill. They make it impossible to do anything. I will not be making another appointment- I will be switching to my husbands bank! So good job Bank of America you just lost a customer of 26 years. This is probably for the better considering all of their locations are randomly closing…. They are slowly going out of business and I can’t say I’m shocked! :)

The reason I went in was to help keep the tellers employed by requiring their assistance. I know how to use the ATM, but if that's how you want it, fine I'll help a machine eliminate your job.

Karam Shammas: Huntington bank 155 years in the market, based in Ohio and all states surrounding Ohio, plus Colorado and Minnesota. Huntington bought TCF bank. No more TCf bank. Huntington had the latest technologies in fraud prevention, text and email alerts. The mobile app is friendly use. You can consider Huntington a 24 hours service bank because you can use your phone app to deposit your checks, withdrawal money from ATM anytime. They have most of the financial services plus the Huntington insurance company.

For those only writing a negative review because the branch didn't offer coffee/water in the middle of pandemic - this is a financial institution, not a restaurant. T5T Towards 5.0 Tennis: worst branch ever.they have online scheduling system but they are not ready on time and someone comes out like 10+ mins later saying "oh you reserved online, that's why". what??also the banker who helped close my account wrongly told me online statements for the closed account should still be available, but it wasn't. So I ended up wasting another few hours on phone with bofa to resolve the issue (re-opening, downloading statements, and closing again). Also the banker kept fiddling around as if he wanted me to go away asap because he had to go somewhere.TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE.
B Lockwood: Awful, came in, was told I needed to make a appointment, yet when I made a appointment and came back, I was delayed by 30 minutes by a walk in appointment. Worst part was the manager was the one that made the decision to push my appointment back by a half hour.

Georges was extremely helpful and took the time to find the best way to perform the transfer. He made sure to update my account details for the transfer to go through. Vivian: I’m so disappointed with this location and the lack of knowledge by their tellers. I went in to deposit a check because the ATM message said there would be a hold (assuming because it was a check from my new job?) anyway, went inside and explained to the teller that I cannot and do not want a hold on the check. That if she processes it and it states anything of a hold, I want my check back, as I cannot wait to have funds put into my account due to a hold.Teller processes the check and assures me that there’s no hold, money will be deposited into my account by the next morning. I went in on 10/20, so by 10/21, check should be deposited.Well miss bank teller, you gave out inaccurate information. My check is now held until 10/29. NINE days after my initial deposit. I’ve called BOA daily begging them to have someone help me. Anyone. There has to be someone who can remove this hold. I’ve explained and expressed and cried my situation and why I need my money as desperately as I do. All I get is “we’re so sorry you were lied to. There’s nothing anyone can do.” I’ve been a BOA customer for 14 years. Once this check is deposited, I’ll be going over to Chase- where they treat you like a person, and not just another transaction.
Quamrul Mazumder: I tried to call and talk to someone several times. Their robocall system did not allow me to talk to anyone. Everyone is busy to talk to customer. This is the worst experience I had. I just wanted to know if they have safe deposit box. I guess, I will never call them again. I hate online robocalls
Margaret Topous: Even when you get there early you will wait. Didn't open on time. They wouldn't even let the Brink's driver in even after time to open. ("10 more minutes.") The driver said something like 'this is why you don't get stops.' He cooled his heels with vehicle idling for several more minutes and then left.You got to step it up several levels BoA. You're dropping the ⚾️ at many locations.

I can't wait until my employer switches banks it's in the process as we speak because having to wait over 40 + minutes in line just to make a deposit for work is uncalled for!!!!!

Zbyszko P: Needed to convert a small amount of foreign currency so I checked the website which stated I can do this at this branch. I drive over during lunch and go inside. After getting to the teller the nice lady tells me that she cannot do it and I have to see someone at one of the desks (fine). Walks me over to a chair and tells me to wait for the lady helping another customer to finish (fine). After waiting around 15 minutes the manager comes over and tells me I need to make an appointment because they're swamped (not fine because I was told they'd do it and asked to wait, which I patiently did.) I wasted over 30 minutes + gas for something that any currency exchange counter at the airport can do in about 120 seconds and still didn't get it done. Supposedly I'm a "premium customer" I'll be moving my money elsewhere.

When I went to the teller to ask for one I accidentally called it a money order. I tried to apologize and correct myself, but the teller immediately got snarky with me. Telling me in a rude tone that "we don't do that, and that my check HAS to be from Huntington to use it towards a cashiers check if that's what I actually need". I've been getting cashiers checks from this bank/location since December, so I know I can use my check no matter the bank. Either way the teller was very rude and I'm disappointed that such a good bank would hire such mean people.

brent ramsey: This place has some of the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with in my life .I’m a contractor and I received a check from a customer who happens to bank with fifth third bank. I went in with the check and provided my federal ID. They asked that I then provide my state ID which is not required. And then told me that they also had to take my Social Security number. With all the issues fifth third is had with their security and hackers stealing information such as Social Security numbers and other customer information this is very unnecessary and risky. I just can’t recommend with dealing with these people when they’re asking for unnecessary information to make simple transactions that I’ve made at any other bank I can possibly name numerous times without having to give my Social Security number. Seems like nothing but an attempt to get you to open an account at a bank that you don’t want to deal with . Super shady practice should be ashamed of themselves for trying to force people into opening an account at their bank

The customer service has gone downhill, and I just had an awful experience with one of their representatives on the phone who was rude and hung up on me even though I still had additional questions. I've banked with TCF/Huntington for 15 years and I am seriously considering moving my money elsewhere.

Jeff Miller: I've never had a disappointing transaction inside the bank since I started banking there 6 months ago but seem to be short handed, all it takes is understanding and patience since they are. No one has never been rude and im always greeted with a hello when I walk in unless the tellers are to busy. If your that much in a hurry to do your banking maybe people that complain their slow and their about to close then that's on you and should get to the bank earlier or apply for a job at the bank if you can do better. I give Huntington bank on 18 and Dequindre a thumbs up cause I have patience/understanding.

Adam Gilezan: I was excited that Huntington took over the TCF location near my home. I went there for the first time today and was extremely disappointed. I waited in the drive thru lane for over 25 min, mind you there was only one lane open as well. I finally got frustrated and went inside to get my transaction done because they were closing soon. The people were just rude and disregarded they were doing anything wrong, no acknowledgment at all whatsoever! I will drive out of my way from now on to go to another branch than to just stop there. Mind you I have been with Huntington for over 20 years. This was such a disappointment!
