Marie Barksdale: I went in here for an alignment after I had my tires changed at discount tire. They were completely respectful. They didn’t treat me in any weird way because I’m a woman or anything like that. They didn’t try and tell me anything I didn’t hear. Everyone was really nice and really cool and everything went smoothly and quickly.

Trouvaille Properties: Rolled into here with brakes that gave out due to another repair shop not fastening brake calipers properly. Our brakes went out on US-23, thankfully we were ok. At 6 pm at closing the folks here went out of there way to get the car looked at, a part ordered and my brakes actually fixed and properly fastened. I can’t say enough about a place that is willing to go that extra mile. If I lived in the area they would have earned me as a customer. The best. I can do is sing their praises. They were understanding, quick, fair and willing to step in on our behalf if the offending brakes store needed a reminder of how negligent they were and how bad things could have been and how they need to do right by us. William Sorensen: On July 2, 2022, they inspected and repaired the exhaust system for my Ram 1500 Hemi truck. At a previous shop I was told I would need a new muffler and anterior pipe. This shop said the muffler was a stainless-steel high-performance muffler and was fine. They repaired the pipe in front of the muffler at a very reasonable rate. It was done within a half hour. About a month later something came loose. They added a couple of new clamps and reset the hangers for the resonators and tail pipes at no charge. This is an honest and ethical shop.
Andy B: They are courteous and very quick. Their prices are in line with national chains, much less than dealerships and upscale independent shops. The staff is competent and friendly.They're still hanging in there in late 2022, although labor shortages have caused their lead times to lengthen. They're still taking care of business.

Reza Amini: UPDATE (March 26, 2022):I took my car here because it did not start, taking three to five minutes to start, and sometimes I gave up and asked for a ride. They told me leave the car for diagnosis. In the afternoon, I received a call that my car needs a Camshaft sensor. Unlike the other time, they did not run diagnosis for free, and did not tell me they would charge me. If I did the repair there, they gave me 50% off the $99 diagnosis fee. I had no other choice. They replaced the camshaft sensor and charged me $218 for the part when the most expensive one is not more than $125. I appreciate that they removed the diagnosis fee. When I asked what the brand of this part is, they told me we don't know!!!!The day after, when I started the car, the same issue happened. It did not start and I had to give up. I spent $300 for nothing. If I can start my car, I am going to to take it there and will update this review based on my experience.====They checked everything for free, but expected I leave the car after the inspection. The waiting room is filthy, so many stain on the couch. No water or coffee while I had to wait two hours for the inspection. The price estimation seems reasonable, but not sure about the quality

David Loar: I got a screw in my tire while traveling around the Ann arbor area and it was leaking air pretty fast. I got rejected by 4 other garages in the area before I tried midas. They got me in between their appointments and set me up with a replacement tire within a few hours so I could make it back home (2 hours away). The staff was very helpful finding time for my vehicle during their busy schedule and alerting me to some other issues on my vehicle that needed attention in the near future. J Dirt: Called ahead to make an appointment for brakes. They do not do appointments. The only way to have work done is to drop your vehicle off earliest as possible in the morning, to wait for a call back with an estimate, no time frame given. So I went to drop my car off the following morning, to be told that I can not wait in the lobby for any amount of time to wait for a cab to pick me up. Midas needs to figure out a better process, and needs to have better customer service and satisfaction in mind. I will never recommend Midas to anyone, ever. Especially this location. It’s 37 degrees outside and you want me to leave my car with you and offer noLobby to be warm and comfortable in. Shame on you as humans.

Michael: I give them a 5 star on every thing they did. The boss is very nice, two mechanics are super knowledgeable. They help me a lot by giving me a free quick check on my car, and point out the real problem instead of me saying what's the problem is and save me the money. Very very nice place to recommend if your car has some issue and let them fix it.

On a number of occasions they have said this is what you need to get done to make the car safe to drive and said they are other things you can do but aren't necessary. I really appreciate that type of service because it lets me choose what I want to get done and how much I need to spend. I can't recommend Packard Auto enough.

I got the following quote from PAR and because it was a very expensive quote of $3849.41 I decided to save some $ and take it to my brother’s auto shop in Farmington Hills. This is really inconvenient for me but given the price was well worth th drive in. He is a very reputable and has had a garage for 30 + years. He charges me 200.84. You can see the attached quotes and exactly what my brothers recommendations were to stop the noise my car was making. I went back into PAR to show them my car was fixed for $200 saving me a grand total of $3826.57. They stood by their original quote. Wow! Take what you will from this. Peace.

From the inquiry phone call I made until the end of business between us, they were absolutely stellar. Upon inspection, I got a detailed inspection report complete with 34 detailed pictures pin-pointing everything they found on the vehicle. I have NEVER got this complete of a report from a auto shop.I don't think I have ever dealt with a more genuine, customer service driven auto shop. Mary Lynne Foster: We were facing an hour long drive home when we noticed the car seemed to be leaking. We called Hoover Street Auto Repair, and despite being very busy, they said they could check the fluid levels and top up if necessary. Their technician, Tom , came out right away, checked the fluids, identified the leak, topped it up, and assured us we would get home safely. They refused our offer of payment. Kim Wehrmeister: Hoover St diagnosed my headlights not working as a corroded relay in the battery junction box. The repair was done within a week, delayed only due to obtaining a part on a 10-year old car from out of state. They also reconnected a loose heat shield on the underside of the car. Shortly after the repair, I receive a notification from Ford Motor that there was a national recall on the battery junction box for the exact repair I'd just had completed with Hoover. The recall stated that they would refund any previous repairs provided a detailed receipt was provided. I contacted Hoover St and told them about the recall, and asked if they could add additional details, just to be sure Ford would cover it. They added a lot of very detailed notes to the invoice and emailed it to me so I wouldn't have to pick it up. They didn't have to do that for me, but they went above and beyond. This was my first visit to Hoover St, also, so it's not like I was a consistent customer. Nate Berent-Spillson: AC wasn’t working. The did a systematic troubleshooting and communicated all along the way. It ended up being the compressor, so not cheap to fix but the air is icy cold now!

Christopher Xiao: This is the place to go for German car repairs. I had a little accident from driving in the snow and needed to find a reputable shop. The people here are extremely welcoming, experienced, and thorough in their due diligence. They take photos of everything during the initial inspection and send you an electronic record so that you are fully aware and involved in any decisions. Prices for this level of service are not the priority, but for those who care they are very reasonable and certainly more affordable than the dealer. I give my highest recommendations.

My car had standing water under the carpet of the passenger side cabin, soaking all of the foam and creating risk in the subfloor electrical electrical system. They had to pull out the seat and the carpet to make sure we could dry the car properly. They were creative, friendly and efficient - They worked out a great solution that I could afford.
